I was thinking along the same lines as JR- hook-up a hefty cable like you did for the fuel cut-off and you can "pull" to disconnect and free wheel. The torsional forces of the opposite action of the front suspension is what makes a sway bar work; cutting it in half and anchoring it to the k member so to speak cuts the helpful reaction way down.
There, I had my intellectual, suspension brain fart for the decade.......going back to bed with nasty congestion head and chest mess. What a waste of two days! :'(

Typing through misty eyes:
Just had a student in my class quietly pray with another student at the sink in the room. The one student was quietly upset, I asked her if there was something I could help Her with; she replied no. The Boy across from Her quietly asked if he could pray about her concern and did so........going for Kleenex now.

I know next to nothing about this, but my Dmax has 4 wheel disc and the rear end is very similar "looking" (floater?) and the rotors are slip-on like you are looking for- maybe?

Really love it! Got to heat it up and can't get over how hot a full floater hand guard will get! Summer I topped it with Aimpoint PRO and now need to get back to the indoor range and dial it in at 25m.
Have toyed with idea of forward grip, but not sure which way to go- Magpul wedge or more the broomstick style.
Really a great weapon! ;)

By the time I added in all the extra parts to my "Complete" Pro Comp lift kit, I could have purchased an actual Complete kit from a better manufacturer.
That's infuriating to say the least- how's Mrs. Duane like the modifications? She either likes trucks or your getting her used Jeep?! :o

Drives ya nuts when you get something "complete" and you have to figure out how to make "direct bolt on" fit in some indirect manner! Especially when you have a fixed amount of time to dedicate to the Vehicle being down and it becomes double or triple!

Instead of a tree, Baptist Minister I know in Southern Missouri has a metal realty sign opposite his front porch. Stress relief for him is a 30 round clip of two, rapid fire into it. Let's just say that the middle of the sign is scattered somewhere behind the sign.

Donation sent- I encourage everyone with the means to make a donation, please do so. These are Christian Families who've had their faith tested to the extreme of many of Christ's early disciples, and refused to renounce Christ and left their homes behind because of it. We have a unique opportunity to celebrate the love of God on the occasion where he gave his only son, Jesus to us all, by giving of our blessings to bless these families.

At 62,000 miles on the 2012 Duramax, I took it in for front brakes. Sad state of affairs- most local shops don't turn rotors around here as large as these, so "do it yourself" is near impractical! I'll be able to do the rears, as the rotors on back looked great upon inspection, so slipping new pads in will be "doable" at home.
While they had it, I had then "check out" an occasional smell of the DEF exhaust that'd hang in the cab at warm-up and idle at times. Seems there's an ill fitting pipe off the turbo, down the back of the engine........I believe we all witnessed the fun Don had with that! Anyway, being still under the emissions warranty, the parts are on order and will be installed by the Dealership on GMs dime! Thought I'd pass that along in case someone else might be experiencing this. Didn't get any specifics on the bulletin, but I'm fairly certain it'd be available on-line.
Hope this helps someone!

I've shot them out of an improved cylinder smooth bore. Seem to work just fine, but I don't shoot much past 50 feet.
Given that range, yes they'd work just fine. Heck, at that range, the person pulling the trigger doesn't hear the bang even, by the time the target is hit! I'd speculate that the cinder block does a fine job of removing the plastic sleeves! ;D

I like Shawn, live in another of said states requiring slugs- Sabots in my 11-87 w/ scope and fully rifled barrel are the ticket for many a large "critter" at range. 3" slugs are the most accurate in my set-up, so I have to eat the recoil beast.
My Mossy 930 kicks worse with 2 1/2" 12g than the Remington with 3"; neither is a "joy" to shoot, but manageable and better than a "dirt nap".
Without a rifled barrel or at least a rifled choke insert, Sabots in a smooth bore will tumble quickly upon exiting the barrel- I speculate that spin helps shuck the plastic sleeves simultaneously; without spin they could stick unevenly.
Every deer I've shot with them had full penetration and pass through- 200lbs.+. They work!

So, note to self.....
Never touch a transmission... Check...
Everything else looks great. Keep pushing forward. :)
It's definitely a push and push back.
Start on transmission, then 2 weeks later find out you can't do it
Try to find a trans guy...he does not return calls
Pull front axle
Axle guy is busy, takes a week to 10 days longer just to get it there
And that's why this thing is taking so long...
But in the end it will get done (I think) and it will have all been worth it (I think)
Oil change = Jiffy Lube -30 mins............(pokey rib guy) ;)

As we continue down the road of one of the most perilous times of our country in my life time, I found this verse in a communication from my daughter's teacher:
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." - Isaiah 41:10

Yes, but you flew the "Marcus Luttrell's" and could easily have been blown from the sky as was the Chinook in the film.......I respect all who've served, even those on supply/logistics/mess hall duty. Bullets and chow don't sprout from the ground, and I've not heard of many modern warriors walking across the entire theater of battle.

At least, you know the quality of the clean-up, paint job and the replaced parts you're able to get assembled. Wherever you end up taking it should be able to tell you the what and why it wouldn't work together and you can pack-up the left overs and ship to the company of origin and tell them to credit your account or you'll dispute the entire charges through your "plastic" financial company, and post your results via the old site and this one!
Remember that all things happen for a purpose-

Some of the best learning from those SKS's is cleaning off the cosmoline; just when you think it's all gone, you shoot it and discover the piston assembly squirts quite a bit when you forget about cleaning it outta there! ::)

Looking to replace the tires on my 2012 Duramax and need to stay within the E load range. Stock tires have served me well (265/70R18 Michellin LTX)
Hoping somebody has some they've changed out for more aggressive tires and are looking to sell.
My truck sees asphalt and an occasional mulch bed; on rare occasion a farm field or forest road chasing various winged prey with the dogs.

My reaction to your load order is to eliminate the second round of #2 adding another slug- if the first load of shot doesn't dissuade a bruin, it's gonna get ugly, and slug placement under duress is gonna be iffy as the time distance factor decreases. :-\

Nice work- ugly conditions to work with with all that rock dust to contend with! Not sure on the newer system, but early 90's glow plugs, you needed to replace all 8 or the variance in resistance between old plugs and new would lead to an early demise of all of them again...... :(

Alright. back from Vegas/SEMA, I'm stepping in here to throw my hat in the ring. YZLD60-3-35 YK D60-F YHC70001 YP KP-001 AK D60-F ARBRDCKMA12 and YSPSP-028 are already in your possession for C-MAX and will fit nicely with the 3.54 gears that you SHOULD keep. the only thing you're short is the chromoly axle kit with 35 spline upgraded outers, YA W26028 including the SuperJoints will finish you off nicely. This combo gives you: An air operated selectable locker built with fully forged chromoly case and internals An air compressor that you have already installed under the bed The front differential master overhaul kit with king pin rebuild kits and hub bearing/seal kits for both sides Yukon Hardcore locking hubs that make the factory hubs look like toys 4340 hardened chromoly axles and 25% larger than stock competition level u/joints that are rebuildable. we're talking King of the Hammers desert racing level joints. This is also a very handy tool: http://www.ringpinion.com/Calculators/Calc_RPM.aspx you can click the "transmission gear ratio chart" link and bring up your trans, enter gear ratio, tire size, speed and trans ratio and get RPM at any chosen combination. You can always get more fun stuff for C-MAX when she's ready.
And BOOM! The answer is clear, concise, accurately stated and given with the authority of someone who knows what he's talking about..............of course I have no idea if it's accurate, 'cause to me, it's like the first time I saw Molon Labe written in.....Greek! With my Kindergarten understanding of the technical aspects of rear-ends etc. I'm giving it two thumbs up! Best part is that Don could be elbow deep in it in no time with things being "on hand! We've missed you Tate!

Bear has grown into one handsome boy! Had a '94 like that, fun vehicle, but tippy when elevated much. Great motor with plenty of power for its size and good mileage for a 6 cyl. Looking forward to seeing it all transform!

Leave it (as far as ratios go). You'll have plenty of torque to push those tires while maintaining mileage....which is hugely important when fuel reserves become a precious commodity.
But, I have little experience when it comes to the strength of dodge axles after adding power.....maybe they're known for becoming metal splinters when you step on the fuel lever, IDK.
I can speak to the 70's vintage Mopar axels, they're stout and handle torque and abuse -in over 15 years of dirt track with my Dad, only broke one axel and that was under full throttle when another car used my rear wheel for his brakes - stuffing his bumper into the rim. It snapped the axel end at the spline at the gear assembly. Unless they changed designs significantly, I'd leave it as is for now and put that modification down for your SECOND oil change..... ;D I would go with the upgrades outer parts like hubs etc. though!
