He’s gotta do something before Thursday, what with all the turkey and fixins, he probably won’t be able to reach into the engine bay.

For the record I expect such comments from people like Ken but you Charles I must say that I am very disappointed that you became emotionally involved with Don’s build thread. Have you informed your wife yet?

THIS JUST IN....REPORTS ARE THAT BIG D MAY ACTUALLY ATTEMPT TO WORK ON THE ENDLESS, TOTALLED MULITPLE TIMES DUE TO NEGELCT AND EVIL DUST PROJECT KNOWN AS "SQUARE D". THIS REPORTER IS SKEPTICAL, DUE TO MANY FALL REPORTS IN THE PAST, BUT IS HOPEFUL THAT THIS PROJECT MAY ACTUALLY GAIN PROGRESS. ALTHOUGH, THERE ARE ALTERNATE REPORTS THAT THIS MAY BE A RUSSIAN SOURCED HOAX DESIGNED TO GET OUR ATTENTION OFF KEN'S GIRLFIREND'S CURRENT SCANDAL AND (HOPEFULLY) PENDING LEGAL ACTION. STAY TUNED...
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Well, believe it or not, I have not had a free hour to craw under that truck to get it running yet!

That's the bad news

Good news is that I just located another performance diesel shop very close by. I am arranging to have SquareD hauled over there tomorrow.

FYI: an emergency SQ D support group meeting has just been called and I think Ken is in charge as Charles is too overwhelmed with emotion. Please be aware that this meeting will be having a moment of silence in regards to cankles election loss a year ago..........

I think I'm as close as I'll ever be to feeling like a battered spouse. I know I should just leave so I won't get hurt again. After all, there's other build threads out there that would treat me better. But this time he said it'd be different... Guess I'll give it one more chance.

Man, you people!

THis square dodge thing has really hooked you peeps good!

Let's see if these guys can just get the motor running, or at least point to what is actually wrong with it, then I can get on with finishing the thing.

So this shop is actually going to do what they say they going to, and have it picked up and brought to their shop? Because that was an unfortunate experience to watch last time it was supposed to go away to get running!

I hope so!

Called Troy a minute ago, he has the corner auto repair in my one horse town (Named: Korner auto repair!) HE said he had a flat on the inside tire of the hauler, but was working on it. Will give me a call when he gets that fixed. Am washing SquareD off to get ready to go.

This Troy you speak of, is he someone we can recruit into the DOT squad? I mean we are always looking for new recruits! You know in case you ban some of us (we’ll actually Ken or I specifically) we just want to make sure we have people in place to help keep you in line.....

Too late, pushed it outside and pressure washed it off. It's completely restored and GTG, except for one missing battery, another dead battery and it took three boys and me to push it downhill!
That's not good.
So maybe there is a curse on fixing this thing.
Troy who owns the wrecker said he had a flat on his rollback. So he tried to air it up and the tire blew up! As in a big time blowout. He ordered two new tires and as of 1600 they were still not here.
So I called another wrecker service who has not shown up, nor called back. OK, this is weird!
It's now 1645, and just now I went outside to move my truck and the batteries are also dead!
What???
Yea, shaping up to not be my day.
Oh well, I can see how tomorrow is looking. Get Troy to finally come over and get squareD loaded up and sent on its way. Then off to buy new batteries and get them thrown in. Then off chain saw hunting.
And...I have pics to prove it!

So, it got pressure washed off, but it had plenty of crud from the ages and a bit of overspray. Plan is to compound the thing once the major work is completed and settle with whatever it looks like then

Anyway Troy showed up with the old school chevy rollback and carted the ancient Dodge away to the shop where some talented young men, aka, diesel gurus will get the thing running

The shop is in Florence KY

Mike and Brad work by themselves there and as you can see, the work is extensive. SHown are two 6.0 Powerstrokes with the motors partially disassembled.

I don't know, but to me these two look serious. After chatting with them for awhile, they believe the engine is not times properly. So job one will be to get the thing running.
Next will be to address the brake issue. Finally I'll likely get them to wire in the transmission or get it dialed in so that I should at the end of this have something ready for the alignment shop

I like how they're wearing surgical gloves so as to not cross contaminate the other vehicles there for treatment with whatever ailment might be lurking under the hood!

"the believe the engine is not timed properly"........where have we heard THAT before?  Certainly the DOT Choir sang that Christmas Carol about a year ago!

I had to take  quick look at who posted this....Sounded more like a Shawn thing to me...

I don't know, but to me these two look serious. After chatting with them for awhile, they believe the engine is not times properly. So job one will be to get the thing running.

Great minds think alike!  Shawn's busy working on the Ken/Charles abuse network - I've picked up Don duty for the short term.  Speaking of Don - saw a remote control mini Chinook on sale at Amazon while picking up some Christmas toys for my youngest daughter and I to amuse ourselves with.

I'm a Warrant Officer, Mikey.

That means I don't listen to others!

Well unless I am recovering in a hospital from my last, "Watch this" adventure or listening to a lawyer advising me of my rights in the upcoming courts martial!

I just sat up in the chair and told my wife that Square D was outside. She looked at me like I am a crazy person.

Funny!

You join Shawn and Ken's support group?

Negative, that is Charles & Ken’s support group....
ou didn't start it???

Or maybe you're the guy stirrin' the pot that makes such a group necessary in the first place, eh?

Negative again, my understanding it was a combination of cankles losing a year ago, lack of progress on sq d, low T on Charles part and Ken discovering he has emotions which in turn make him cry non stop. Occasionally he apparently stops the water works long enough to mumble incoherent phrases about his love for H......
Living in the remote north hoping Ken doesn’t bring H up here any time soon…..

Just getting here, but dang that's a good looking pile of steel! It is amazing to see that it is capable of moving, even if by outside forces! Glad to see it getting the medical attention it needs!
