JR, I spent many public dollars digging up old fuel tanks and chasing the dirty soils. Spent more on dry ice in a month than the fuel for the equipment digging up the tanks. Four county sheds and two old pit sites. At our shops we installed 1,000 gal tanks for the shop drains and pumped them as needed, but we did have our own vactor trucks so that helped.

Yeah, I may have thrown out the wrong vibe there. I'm not trying to be public enemy #1 of Mother Earth here... Just don't want my slop sink going into the septic. Moot point anyway since where I want to put it won't have enough fall to get to the tank anyway

Had to put large amounts of dry ice inside tanks before the final removal from the ground. The dry ice would release gases that would force any remaining gasoline  fumes out of the tanks so if there were any sparks nothing bad would happen. Had a consultant engineer with his box truck lab on site at all the digs testing soil and letting us know when we got into clean material. That is what he and the union reps wanted when we were right next to the tanks and before setting the chains for removal.

Am I the only one to noticed they installed the windows before the house wrap?  That seems backwards and might make it difficult to waterproof.  Make sure you watch how they waterproof around the windows and post pictures if you have any doubts.

I didn't see the wrap yet, maybe they pulled them first. But with good tape it really shouldn't be a problem as long as they wrap the openings first.

What concerns me is the roof that drains into the valley.

Hmm... Yeah.  The wrap should have covered the holes then been cut and folded in.   Maybe it doesn't matter if the plan on taping around all the windows good.

They tyvek up to the windows, then use the heavy window tape around the windows, onto the wrap. I'll take pics when they start siding, but that's how the did the house too.

Edit: here's a pic from the house. They tape the wrap directly onto the window vinyl

Are you referring to the middle between the garage doors up high? If so, there will be a gutter there I'm pretty sure

Yeah there's drain pipe running the periphery around the foundation. The downspouts will tie into that, and all that water will go to the drywell
