The exterior walls have sprayed foam insulation.

I was there the other day when the first load of sheet rock was delivered.  I was perfectly happy not having to carry it.

Exterior materials have been delayed, but progress continues.  Concrete work is finished.  Mudding of sheet rock should be finished today.  Texture will be on by the end of the week.

The pavers have been layed between the slabs.  Driveway is basically finished.

Sidewalk from driveway to front porch is complete.  With a ramp.

Taping and mudding in progress.  These guys are amazing.

Right at an acre.

In or next to the unbuilt shop to the left of the driveway.

Progress has been steady but slow.  We missed the memo about global warming here in Missouri and have had one of the coldest winters on record.  Too many days with lows in the single digits and below zero for me to count.  Between that and a very busy Wrestling schedule for my oldest, traveling every weekend to all corners of the state, I've not had much chance to do any updates.

I'll split this update into interior and exterior.

All the drywall and painting is done inside and they are working on hard flooring this week.  Hopefully cabinets will go in next week.

Back on the outside, more soffit is in, stone is going up, and the porch ceiling is started.  The mason should be done this week along with soffits.  Hope to see siding going up next week if the weather holds out.

Don's favorite green still prevails, but the OSB garage doors have been scrapped for better looking units.

That shower is awesome! Love the nooks and the strip drains. On the lighting is that 110 up there? Thought it had to be low voltage? (doing mine 12v led)

Sweet on the stone on the outside. Always been a fav of mine.

Looks great!

Curious as to what they charge for the stone work, out there. My brother is at the same stage and he's been getting quotes anywhere from 4.00sq/ft to 5.50.....but it's the smaller style "brick shaped" stone. Seems high to me.

Dave, it's a Sherwin Williams color. Software SW 7074.  Deep gray with a hint of blue.

That shower is awesome! Love the nooks and the strip drains. On the lighting is that 110 up there? Thought it had to be low voltage? (doing mine 12v led)

JR, it is 110.  No code against it in these parts.

Looking GOOD!  I'll honk as I drive by tomorrow night around 9pm!

Safe travels!

It’s fine as long as it’s approved for wet areas/bathroom.

It is on a GFCI circuit and the LED fixture is approved for shower use.

Actually 220 is safer than 110. 110 causes muscles to clench and you not being able to let go. 220 knocks you loose

In water they both suck.

So reminds me of my street racer '78 Nova I had back when I first got married.  Had a 130,000V coil on my HEI ignition.  Engine had a miss so I was pulling one plug wire at a time to find the cylinder with the miss.

Standing in 1 inch of water and using a pair of pliers to remove the boot, I learned that at 130,000V the spark is stronger than the dielectric properties of the pliers....

Knocking me on my butt would be the understatement of the year

Think we have all done the 110 and the ignition or we won't be trying.

Best I did was 600 dc on a capacitor tester, one lead in each hand,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Things are moving quickly now.  Electricians are nearing completion, appliances will go in today.  Cabinet work is on going and the counter top templates have been made and they should be cut and delivered late this week or early next.  The fireplace mantle and stair finishes are being delivered today and the stone mason will be in next week to finish the fireplace.  Final HVAC install should be happening today as well.  Plumbing finishes will start next week.  Hoping to have a completed house in the next 2 to 3 weeks.  There are still lots of loose ends to tie up and we have dealt with plenty of delays, but the dream is taking shape quickly now.

The exterior is almost wrapped up.  Gutters will go on next week as well as some small finish details.

Soffit lights ended up being a nice touch and the Christmas light outlets are a must.  They are all wired on a separate switched circuit.

Trim work is very nearly complete.  Blinds were installed yesterday. (not pictured)

Cabinets and lighting make it look more like a home.

How’d you fare with all the rain Thursday-Sat?  Was trapped in place near Grovespring, MO Saturday until about noon before low water road crossing drained enough to safely drive through again and one crossing the other way washed out completely- Evil Kanevil would have to think twice about the attempt to cross it!  Another crossing blocked with debris!

No issues personally.  The drainage around the new place did it's job nicely.  You can see a little erosion in the pics, but more top soil, grading, gutters and sod will remedy that.

I had to drive to Lebanon Saturday for a funeral in a torrent of rain luckily it had stopped by the end of the service.

Did you make it home safely?
