I tried to talk Baylee into more conservative tires and wheels, I lost that battle. She did decide to keep the tire height manageable to keep fuel mileage and drive ability within reason. She also has a new Bluetooth kenwood deck coming in too.

Baylee’s job’s

Duluth trading sales associate
Nanny & tutor after school
Babysitter (random parents)
Rec center day care

I call that patchwork economics...
I like

Have to get her a job here on the website...???

Fair enough Dave, you can be her first line supervisor.

Treat her well, or you're fired (again)!

I’ve had several sets of their firehose pants for years. I think you guys recommended them originally. I’ve been buying a bit more stuff here lately as Baylee gets a very healthy discount.

Worked on the jeep in dads shop today...

we installed the under the seat lock box...

We replaced the roll bar speakers and found that the previous owners used a ghetto method...

then we installed the speakers up front and took apart the dash to install the new kenwood deck..

will upload pic of the deck soon

Removed front bumper end caps, added some washers to rear tire carrier so tire would fit. Then added spare tire cover I had laying around. Still need to wire up light bar and a 1.75” level kit is in order. Current 32” tires will rub if she turns and hits bump too hard on fenders and front sway bar.

So yesterday afternoon Baylee calls. Oil pressure gauge dropped to zero & she shut it off (literally in the middle of road at local king sooper, yes they were busy on sat afternoon). Only about 3/4 mile up road from our townhome rental. So I drove up, checked oil (full) and then got in Jeep and started it up. No tick and guage ever so slightly raised up on ignition. I drove it back to townhome and still no tick. Ran to local Napa and grabbed replacement oil sensor for just shy of $20 right before church.

This morning ran over to shop and grabbed tools I thought would work, they did not. On the 4 cyl tj motor just remove outer air filter housing and the sensor is located right below in crotch of passenger side motor mount. Then ran to sears and bought a combo box end wrench in 24 / 26 mm, 26mm fits the sensor cost me $22 for wrench. Ran back to townhome and it was too long. So off to shop I went again, cut wrench in half roughly and back to swap out the sensor. Once wrench was cut down to a shorty size you can easily swap out sensor from above. Then realized Baylee took Jeep key to work this morning with her....  :knucklehead:

Anyhow it is now fixed and is showing good pressure. Greatful I live in a country where A) I have access to funds to fix our vehicles and B) tools to purchase and capability to modify on a Sunday morning no less.

I know the frustration there. Looks like the timing belt went on her camry. Now she want to drive my el camino as I fix it.

JR, did it take out some valves or not a concern on that motor?

So with Baylee off dancing with Texas cowboys this weekend.......

Dad gave the tj a much needed front brake job. I believe the PO had new pads thrown on grooved rotors in order to move it on down the road. Old pads were 75% or better and rotor were as smooth as a Michigan highway!

According to Baylee it was making some noise up front. So I installed these and did an oil change with the standard larger capacity filter substituted for the stocker and some Mobil full syn 10w30.

Wouldn’t boost refer to turbo? Sounds like you budget lifted it (yeah, boost as in “hey give me a boost” to lift someone up).

No, we considered it but she’s only running 32” tires so we would have sacrificed some highway speed and well she will graduate high school this year so thinking that is more important maybe.

Hey, Let's put a LS1 in there. No, wait, an LQ4 with 543 heads n' a cam...or a 500 caddy...

Now someone start discussing the virtues of the LS platform, while someone else suggest putting a 4BT in there, while someone else asks some non-pertinent question about the mutt... ;-)

Chief, if this were on the table, I’d suggest the Cummins re-power engine. It seems they made it for such a job as this.
