I've seen this before. It's a good story, and a good deed done. I'm Mississippi National Guardsman, and although the Biloxi area is my unit's AO for hurricane operations, we were unable to respond due to being Iraq at the time. I can tell you, we were all quite torn during Katrina. That said, fellow guardsmen from across the U.S. (we have a good relationship with a lot of other states) deployed to fill in the gap we left when we crossed ocean. Thanks to all who stepped in to fulfill our duty, while we were fulfilling our duty.
