so today I am going to can up some razor clam chowder base.

I just looked them up....they have a "rounder" shell than the Atlantic versions.
For some reason I can't get the pic to post but these are what I see here:

Yeah that's what I was referring to. The shell is "rounder" than the Atlantic Version that looks much more like a straight razor.

finally got it to boil

canning prep and in the pressure canner pot. now just have to wait for it to come to temp and let ride for 100 minutes.

Nate, do you cover the jars with a towel after the come out of the canner so they don't cool too fast and break a jar

I do not, just take them out and place them apart so they can cool, wipe clean, label and store.
