D.O.T. / Re: What fuel has the longest shelf life?
« on: January 06, 2016, 11:47:12 AM »
^^ I have now said this multiple times. I believe long term storage of fuel should start as tanks of waste oil/transmission/hydraulic and other oils and petrol products.
Then when and if it is ever needed, simply filter off 60 gallons and process it into clean diesel and shove it into your tractor or truck.

23456
There certainly is a lot (illegal) going on and from all sides.

I do not like the idea that JSOC is involved at all. They definitely have the expertise to get whatever the boss decides to get done, but if they are doing anything other than providing intel, well, that's use of the united states military against it's citizens within the border, and that is not allowed.
In the past we have provided technical assistance to police agencies who lack the training, but this feels more like direct action.
Police officers, as in state police officers need to peacefully arrest the occupiers of that building/area and then have the whole thing heard in court. I think the Hammond and what happened down on the Bundy ranch needs to see daylight as well on the national stage...and during this election year.

Ox lockers...right
Don't know why I thought of "OX" as winch people???

Cav guy, good to go.

I started my life as an Armor guy myself. M60A1's. C company 1/13 Armor, 1st AD in Illeshiem back in the 70's, then a teaching stint at Ft. Knox. All before flight school of course, but I really enjoyed tanking.

Been to Camp Robinson many times. As a spec ops guy using that as a target and as a 101st guy using that as a PZ for raids over at Ft. Smith...

BTW, I owned two CJ-7's. First a 79 had a straight six with a 4 speed. I quickly traded that on a hardtop 1980 with a 304 and a 4-speed

First.  Welcome Sean.  Thank you for your service.  We enjoy and appreciate the freedom you and others on this site have provided for us.

Don, you talking about the one you rolled at Ft. Knox? and lied to the MPs about?  Yeah, that orange one??
That would be the one!

when we got ours running, we only had 2 rubber hoses (supply to lift pump and return from IP) running into a 1 gallon jug of diesel. it was literally sitting in a wooden cradle in the driveway. may could try the same, at least to rule out your pre lift pump filters causing low fuel pressure..
That is my next step. All this talk now has me wondering about that fuel filter I selected. Maybe it's restrictive, who knows???

Well things are a bit tense here. I reposted a warning from the "Militia folks" who are not involved in this standoff...

I hope cooler heads prevail, but our government is simply exercising too much overreach and trying to take too many freedoms away. Is this the start??

URGENT Warning on OR Standoff: Military Special OP Assets Have Been Assigned for Standoff. Get All Children Out of There Immediately

Oath Keepers has received very credible information from an active duty source within the special operations community that at least one SOD-X (Reserve/National Guard Special Operations Detachment, see this, this, and this) unit under the command of Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) has been tasked for this standoff at the Malheur Wildlife Reserve and moved to the area.   Given this, we should expect that other special operations assets, such as Delta Force, will also be involved if the Obama Administration decides to give the green light on a military strike.  And we should expect the presence of the infamous FBI HRT (which were present at both Ruby Ridge and Waco).

Due to this, anyone who has children there, at the wildlife refuge, needs to get them out immediately, and DO NOT take any more children there for any reason (and we do know that some children, including a baby, have been seen there).  We do not need to have the risk of dead children in this incident.  It is unconscionable and immoral for anyone to place children at risk of being in the middle of a firefight or military strike on the armed men holding that federal wildlife refuge.   We DO NOT trust the Obama Administration to do this right, which would be to handle it like the Montana freeman standoff rather than the Waco standoff, and anyone who thinks that Obama won't drop the hammer on Ammon and his men is a fool.   We hope "the adults in the room" in the Administration and in the federal LEO and military community will keep that from happening, but hope is not an operational plan.

Get, and keep, children off the friggin X.   This is not a "free speech" barbecue at Bundy Ranch with live music.   This is a whole different animal.   Children have no business there.   In fact, there should be no non-combatants (no women and children) there at all.   This is not a family event.

Oath Keepers

Short Oath Keepers Statement on this Standoff

I will post a longer statement later, but for now, here is a brief statement on this situation, in general:

Oath Keepers adamantly opposes the armed takeover of the Malheur Wildlife Refuge.  This is not in keeping with the moral imperative of only using force in defense when people's lives are at stake, as at Bundy Ranch in 2014.  In this case, neither the Hammonds nor their neighbors were in imminent threat of being murdered, and neither the Hammonds nor their neighbors asked for any form of armed standoff.   In fact, they oppose it.  This is being done by outsiders who mislead and deceived locals, deceived the Hammonds, and deceived the patriot movement by luring them in with a peaceful rally and then attempting to rope them into a premeditated, manufactured armed standoff.   Both Ammon Bundy and Ryan Payne (who we suspect is an agent provocateur) told the locals in the Committee of Safety, at a public town hall meeting on December 15, that they, the locals on the committee, would be making the decisions on what was to be done, how, and when.   That was a lie, as they were already staging their men and supplies in the area to takeover the wildlife refuge, and had already planned out this takeover of the federal facility at the Malheur Wildlife Refuge.  By doing this, they have given Obama the best New Years present he could hope for - an example of militia movement/patriot aggression, which gives up the high ground while also having the least credibility and support from the locals possible, after lying to them, and also the least support from the patriot community, who were also blind-sided by Ammon and Ryan Payne.

However, as much as we oppose what Ammon Bundy and Ryan Payne have done, we must warn the Obama Administration that it does not have free reign to "Waco" the people in this standoff by using deadly military force, such as an SOD-X, Delta Force, or the FBI HRT to kill them all.  The Federal government must respect their right to due process and do all it can to end this standoff peacefully, without loss of life.   It must treat it like the Freeman standoff, not the Waco standoff.   There will be no more free Wacos, as Mike Vanderbgh, Founder of the Three Percenter movement puts it.  Treat this with kid gloves or risk a civil war.

Stewart Rhodes
Founder and President of Oath Keepers

Diesel will last a very long time if it is in the ground and gets no light and not much temp fluctuation.
JP8 is hidden in the ground on military installations by the tens of millions of gallons. Diesel and Kerosene mix with prist. Prist is the anti algae additive necessary to keep bugs from growing in the gas and clogging up Apache helicopter engines while they are show-boatin' around trying to look cool!

Let's just accept this as answered prayer
Because that is exactly what has happened here!
I just texted Ash and while I was doing so this scripture came to mind immediately:

James 5:16King James Version (KJV)

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much
.

This is nothing less than the hand of the father we have witnessed here with this precious child of God. And your prayers rose like a chorus to the throne and God heard us!

Now, go ahead...And smile!

You have a reason to be happy!

Thank you Father God for answered prayer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I shoot less, savoring each and every shot. It's like it's just "More"

I finally got to put some rounds through it for the first time today.

Warmed it up with 40 odd rounds and the iron sights. Right out of the box it seems to hit what I line up on. Was shooting at a target about the size of a dinner plate at around 150 yards and was hitting it, firing from a bench.

Up close I was smashing cinder blocks and flat Kentucky limestone rocks. It functions so smoothly and the added weight helps control the recoil to nearly that of a M4 firing military 70 gr stuff.

So far I love this gun, and I switched to 25 round Mag-Pul magazines for the testing (playing around) of my sweet Sig M716

Support your representatives who are slowly sponsoring bills to make paying dues to unions optional.
I was in a closed shop job...Comair. The pilots were 100% ALPA (Airline Pilots Association). I had to pay 3% of my meager salary to that communist and unsafe organization. I hated every stinkin' minute of it...not the flying, but being a part of the union. We went out on strike and I wanted to cross the picket lines to fly. But, and this shows who is really the good guys, the company management told me not to do it! They said they appreciate the loyalty, but if I came to work, then every time I went to the parking lot my car would have sliced tires or be painted up or something. The company protected me while the Union used scare strong arm tactics to keep all its little comrades in check.
I will do everything I can to help dismantle unions with any chance I get!

Firearms / Gun Control Executive Order
« on: January 02, 2016, 06:14:37 PM »
I feel this belongs here in the Weapons section, since this proposed Executive order propped up by the leftist regime and the communist attorney general will bot affect gun owners, and cause them to be used in an American Revolution.

I can only hope and pray that the vast majority of Sheriffs and LEO's in the land will stand with the people and not against them.

I agree JR...some of us wake up and see the train coming and others (me) have a lust for the flesh that cannot be quenched phisically. We are spiritual beings trapped in the human condition. Galatians 5 16-26 tells us that the two cannot coexist.
Added it for those (like me) who are too doggone lazy to look it up!

Galatians 5:16-26New International Version (NIV)

16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever[a] you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
