I dont know if this is reliable site or not but these are what I was looking at.

https://www.shocksurplus.com/products/bilstein-4600-monotube-gas-oem-shocks-rear-pair-2007-2014-chevrolet-suburban-1500-2wd-4wd

https://www.shocksurplus.com/products/rancho-rs9000xl-adjustable-shocks-rs999262

Rancho is $117 apiece and the Bilstein are $149 a pair. I think I'm gong to go that way.

As if I don't have enough to do I decided to go ahead and put together a solar system for my camper. So I  invested in a Chinese hydraulic battery cable end crimper thing. I always used solder ends before but after sitting in on a couple solar presentations with the RV group I'm In I decided to go with the crimp on ends.
I resisted at first but I suppose I better listen to the electrical engineer and the retired Navy electrician and the guy that installs solar systems for a living. This project won't start until the snow flies.

Jon, what do they say about crimping and then soldering? That's how I've always done battery terminals but maybe there's something wrong with that practice?

A proper crimp with a proper tool is all thats needed.
I’ve got a manual crimper that goes to 4/0 but hydraulic is where it’s at.
We’ve got some sweet ones at work,  it for the average Jon that one should be good.

Nate, your food posts are out of control.

I got one of those crimpers too, haven't tried yet.

Don, they talked about me doing that test, not sure. Now they have policy you have to be vaccinated or test before a dr visit, this is out of hand.

Well,
What we do is do not comply
They cannot legally refuse treatment.
Refuse the test, then after you are refused treatment, wait a little bit, then go to the emergency.
You now have received injury. Grab your favorite attorney and file a suit against the first person refusing to treat.
It always about two things, Control and money. If they think they can win in the control column, then let's get rich off of their arrogance. They will learn...

I thought about that first thing. Not to sue but but trying to force me to comply is stupid.

They want blood tests next week, we will see.

I still think soldering is better, so there.
Seriously tho, it helps keep battery fluids from migrating up the cable.(just talking battery connections here) Pretty sure it also helps with amperage conductivity to the terminals but that might be up for debate, considering the possible added resistance of the solder.

Set up middle daughters room at Montana State in Bozeman today. Tomorrow we leave her to the new adventure. We were able to move her in a few days early since she has a job with the school and they need her early, so we missed the rush.

My daughter is fighting keeping up with school. It was the "covid" time so all was online, turned her off. I'm working on it. She likes working but I said the free ride is not going to last, maybe a year, she's young and got a good head.

I think soldering is better to but crimping is easier and faster.

My world is self correcting and things are coming back in line. Stopped at our local Atwoods (farm and ranch store) and picked up some freedom seeds. 9 mm was $18.99 for 50 and the 45ACP was $21.99 for a box of 50 I can only get 5 boxes total per day so will go back tomorrow. They even had 223, 308, 300 black out and 7.62x39. They also had a bunch of shotgun shells.

Primers are still the bottle neck for me.  Hopefully that shuttered Remington factory coming back on line last month or so will help.

I've been pretty lucky on primers and powder.  Rifle bullets are what elude me the most.  It does seem like loaded ammo is starting to come back a bit.  9mm for $20 for 50 stayed on the shelf for 5 or 6 days at the local farm and fleet a couple weeks ago.

Yeah, primer are prime too, but sitting on around 20k right now. Love to get some more.

All the farm/hardware stores that used to carry ammo have dumped it. I have a contact in NV for some besides what I find on the shelve. Reloading stuff is OK to bring back, but ammo is a no no. I just leave that at the ridge.

And now taken two loads of junk to the local trash yard.
Two box springs, a corner section of a sectional, the 5x5 foot stool that matched and some leftover yard irrigation junk that kids have mashed into garbage, the RV fridge I planned to use on the trailer until the wind took the door off and the kids thought it fun to break the shelves out
Gettin cleaned up for winter I guess?
