Should we also bring up the report that came out last week about the EV not being safe because of the extra battery weight guard rails and concrete barrier won't stop them

Man, the VA sure knows how to mess up your day! I submitted a claim back in April to get my disability evaluated, went to the appointments, and the claim  moved to determining your disability rating at the end of July. I got a notice today that the claim moved back to gathering information and told me I need to set up 2 new appointments. I wonder if they hope I will die first

Had my head buried yesterday trying to think of anything but the date. Bret was killed in Afghanistan 13 years ago yesterday. Didn't do much good. I ended up thinking about the loss. Turned it around in the evening, checking up on the guy Bret saved a few days before. Let those you love know how you feel. We have no guarantee of tomorrow.

Faith Discussion / Re: Prayer apps
« on: September 02, 2024, 06:37:43 PM »
Does anyone use an app on their phone or tablet to keep track of their prayer list. I have spilled coffee on my list yet again and see that there are several apps out there. I'm hoping someone has a suggestion of one that works for them

Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk

Nope...Old school here
But
That's an interesting concept
Heck, people use the phones for everything else, why not to pray or remind us to do so!
I was thinking of trying the Hallow prayer app. They have talked about it on the show Chosen

Many years ago, when I was first station in Oklahoma. I was working swing shift, drove into work, and it was 80 deg. When out to the flight line and started working on an aircraft when we finished around 22:00, we opened the door of the aircraft and pushed about 8" of snow. Most of only had T shirts on, and it was very cold and wet breaking down the AGE before we could go inside

It translates non-moving inputs into rotating inputs. It's how your cyclic and collective control inputs get to the rotating blades. You can see by tilting the swash plate, some angle is added to the "up" side and subtracted from the "Down" side.

As you can see, with the Chinook, that design gets both quite large and pretty complicated.
Thanks for the explanation. Always a good day when you learn something.

Amen, that hits very hard. Just the other end being on the receiving end of a folded flag and especially after the piss poor withdraw. Why did we send one American over there. Politicians need to stay out of the military business. Don't open the box if you are going cut back on what our young men and women can do. They are highly skilled and capable. If you don't want to win, don't send them. I won't start on the D&I idiots.  I will now return you to more pleasant post

I concur and differ somewhat. I believe every single politician needs to do one month deployed with a forward-deployed Army or Marine unit. Live it, breath it, feel it, learn it, then go on to governance of our people.
I think we had better politicians when they had served in the military
