Title: This was my hero!
Post by: Nate on July 28, 2020, 10:28:27 PM
On 22 February 2010 GOD created a true gentle giant who would soon be known as Maynard der König (MAYNARD the king)!  And on 28 July 2020 @ 653pm GOD called you back to his side!

I truly hope that we were humans that you were proud to live with and provided for your every wish and desire!

You were my true best friend and you never judged me for my faults!

Your pain is gone and you can finally breath again and have those wonderfull dreams of you chasing rabbits!

WE LOVE YOU and will always miss you! You will live in our hearts and memories every day until the day WE get to be reunited with you!

Sorry to hear that Nate.  You can tell a lot about a man by how he treats God’s creatures.

So sorry, Nate!

These fuzzy fellas just work their way into our very souls

And they just don't live long enough

Rest in peace forever

It's taken me a little while to respond to this as I'm a big ol' softie when it comes to man's best friend. I had to put down my 11 yr old lab the weekend before thanksgiving this last year and it's still pretty raw. You'll still hear him in the house for a few weeks and swear he's out back barking at squirrels. I don't recommend Turner and Hooch, Marley & Me, K9, or Ol' Yeller for at least a year. I hold them to a slightly higher regard than people and not in the crazy cat lady sense, but the unconditional love like Christ gives sense. You could completely lose your cool with them and they will always come back and that bond is not ever broken. God rest him, let him and Cooper chase after some squirrel angles and get a nice steak.

Thank you all!

Maynard came home yesterday and is watching all of the squirrels, birds and rabbits in the back yard.  I have a spot for him and on the shelf right above where his bed was that over looks the back yard, i just have to find the right container.

Nate, can you get your hands on a fired 105mm shell from one of those guns you played with?

The pup was a gentle warrior

The arty round is you, suggest explosive power...

I buried my guy beneath some boulders which I turned into a flower mound. Buried him with a snack and a stick.

love those dogs...

I love the idea, but wendy is the final decision making authority on the decoration aesthetics of the piece.

I was thinking this would check all of the box's?

That’s a good looking idea.   I’ll need to follow suit.     I like that

Maynard is home and he is now in his permanent resting place over looking the back yard with the birds, squirrels and rabits that he liked to watch, chase and try to eat.
