I wanted to get away from the plastic master, so I spent some time trying to sort that out.

The '85 Chevy version is cast, but only 11/16 bore...but...direct mount and proper rod length and geometry.

The Dodge is 7/8"... not even close. ..no way that smaller bore would work with the Dodge slave. (which is 1" bore )
I'm going to try a cast slave from a 91 Chevy 3500. I'll have to redrill the mounting holes and cut the push rod.
It has a 13/16 bore, for an .85:1 ratio, compared to the Dodge's .875:1 ratio.

With this setup I can get rid of the plastic line and o-ring connections... just hope it works.
I ran a Chevy slave also. Works perfect with the heavy clutch I run.

I rebuilt the dodge nv4500 case and installed a Chevy 32 spline mainshaft.

With my transfer case and doubler I bored the NP205 case  for a 90mm big bearing. Im  installing a ford 31 spline input a  cut resplined and heat treated  mainshaft for the NP203 and a 32spline input.

My name is Mike I’m 36 and live in Iowa. I’m an infantryman in the 1-133rd inf with the Iowa national guard.  I  ran a fab shop for a 11 years on and off pipe welding and building race cars. Got out of that and work for a masonry company as the driver and maintenance guy.  Found out about this place from Shawn about a year ago after purchasing parts from him  for the build.

I  hate commies, I like guns ,and building Offroad vehicles. Lol. I’ll keep you updated on the cucv build  in coming days.

Mike, maybe take a minute when you get time and post up under the Site Rules and introductions forum it’s the first one at top of main forum page. Give the rest of these guys a little bit on your back ground for those who don’t know you.

For the record knowing me already has one strike or two against you!
I will do that when I have a chance. Sorry about that haha

I figured I should start a build thread here. It’s a 1984 m1009. The truck was a pile of junk when purchased. It needed new bedsides, floors, rockers and lower b pillars. The windshield area was toast and so was alot of other things.

I completely disassembled the truck down to the last bolt. Fixed all the panels and blasted frame and all drivetrain parts. I will be posting photos of the build and update info of parts used.
