If the smell keeps coming and going he isn't dead. Not sure about your area but up north here it is breeding season for them.I wouldn't put a kill trap their. That is unless you want it to stink like skunk for a couple weeks. Catch them in a live trap, cover if up before you move it and you won't get sprayed. Remove from the area to dispatch it. A clean shot to the head should prevent them from spraying. Or you can always toss the entire trap in a pond or something for a bit.
I've been thinkin' about this whole skunk with diabeetes thing.The man who came up with something like that is troubled for sure. A diabetic skunk...Way too much thinkin about this, way too deep. Can a guy who analyzes his pests and critters be all that well adjusted? or is he a bit a__l? Just sayin... A bit too much thought here folks. What next, a crow that shows up in the morning with a lisp?
