We put in an offer on a small piece of property that dead ends into a mountain to the north and east and is bordered by a creek on the west. Don’t know if they’ll accept but we’re hopeful. If it’s in God’s plan it’ll work out.

Big enough for my new house plans?   I really want to build this conex style house. Talked to the boss today about it.  Need to find some land to put it on.

Haven’t seen your plans but probably so. It’s only 6 acres so it’s just big enough to be a pain in the rear but not big enough to do much on. This place is all about the dead end into the mountain. That way hopefully people will leave us alone.

Drove to just West of Cleveland Ohio to have the competition dog Hank, reproductively Collected and stored for later breeding.  Rented a car for the trip and the rental place had an empty lot when I got there. They scrambled and came up with a black, gasser Silverado!  Has a 6cyl. with the active fuel management system which I’ll report on later today.

One thing that will cause an instant argument?

Well, Costner's the wealthy rancher that owns half of Montana, but worked for it, and he's beating off equally powerful people trying to take from him, like reservation and developers.

I can’t remember fights. Not that many and not that memorable

I did sleep on the porch swing once 20 years ago but that was because I was hammered.

Instant argument?  Me getting angry at people in traffic.  I do stupid stuff like throw a water bottle at other drivers.

Norm bid (& the key here is he won said item) on something close in proximity to me. He then texted me & set me up.

Apparently the guy he bought said item from can’t move said item & Norm concluded I have a strong back......

 :knucklehead:

 :knucklehead:

So, I’m going to work up an appetite tomorrow night before the wife & I head to our reservation at Samples.

Here’s the kicker though, Norm never asked me what my fee would be!

Nothing done on the house/room.

Mom got O2 today, she can hardly walk and they gave here a cart to to pull. Was supposed to be a generator she could carry. The Gen is in another room (loud) has a reserve 60gal tank and 2 small tamks. How in the heck is she supposed to pull a cart with a 10lb tank while she uses a walker??? Sure it was there fast, but its like a trailer for a suitcase.

Took the car to the dealer for the free oil change we got with the car. Well I should have gone alone or at least kept the wife in the waiting room. Nothing free about going to the dealer, but she likes this one better.

I have always found that question interesting, what was your first major fight?

My favorite answer was armmerall.  A old neighbor went to purchase some for his pickup and asked the wife for $4.00 and she said no that they didn’t have it.   He worked 70 hour weeks and only wanted that from his paycheck and the wife said no.

As for surgery it was a non cancerous growth,   Just a lump that rubbed on my tool belt and bothered.   So cut it out I said and he agreed.

First major fight, hmmmmmm. Well, not my finest moment but I’ll bite. Probably not the first major fight but one I think we both recall vividly.

So we built our first house (kinda like Dave) with a ton of sweat equity. Move in and I’m
working long hours in steel shop during summer in Indiana with 100% humidity. I come home and wife has ac running and windows open. So I ask her what she’s doing & she tells me she wanted fresh air. To which my reply was well if you want fresh air go outside or keep windows open & turn off the ac. We’re not cooling the outside here.

Following day I come home, ac blasting away & windows open. I walk in and go to wall with thermostat. Took my hand and shoved it down wall into cheap plastic thermostat knocking it off the wall. She made her choice.......

This $7 thermostat I had to buy & replace turned into a huge blow up including her father who came over and we agreed if we never spoke again it was ok with both of us. I think that conversation ended by me telling him to get off my property.

For the record, probably not the best way to handle the situation by knocking thermostat off the wall. There's easier ways to make a point but this was a 24 year olds way I guess.

We signed the papers selling my wife's house yesterday. It was hard for her  and there were a few tears. She knows it's for the best. I reminded her she's not cutting all ties to her Kentucky home. She still owns 1/3 of the original home stead. That made her feel better.
Then as we left the Court House we seen the Owsley county Sherrff pull up with a pickup load of pot plants. They were anywhere from 3ft tall to sprouts in trays.

Honestly, I don’t think so. Granted I’m 6’3” but I’ve never put a hand on a female in anger & this was more frustration anyhow so it really wasn’t an anger situation.

The back story is Daddy was worth a lot of money at the time. He was raised Amish & left church at 15, made a ton of money without a high school education. With his original upbringing girls weren’t taught a lot & add in to the fact he had money she wasn’t taught basics that I teach my girls. I had been on my own since pretty young even running our families finances at around 14 after my parents split. At the time I was a production manager & bs gets people killed in the steel business so I was no bs. There is the conflict.

Now, she will tell you today she wasn’t taught much by her Dad. But then it was a frustrating couple of years. She’s highly educated at this point & runs a hospital so we’re not talking about the same girl at all or me for that matter. Age tends to calm most men down. It will be 16 years in Oct for us & we’re great but year 15 was the roughest on record. So you’ll have that in marriage I guess.

I honestly don’t think we have had a major fight, we have had some complicated conversations about our older kid and other sperm donor influence.

But nothing extreme

My father used to recount a fight with my mother about a how many slices of meat on a sandwich there needed to be.   Mom would make a sandwich with one piece of cheese, one slice of meat, mayo and mustard.  Dad would get to work and eat that sandwich with disgust because really it’s just some bread.   They had a blow out about lunch meat

Mom would tell you have fighting about where to squeeze toothpaste from the toothpaste tub.  She wanted from the bottom and dad simply didn’t care.  Fight and solution.  Solution was to get them each their own tube to use how they wished

Spread mulch early this AM -  thankfully our neighbor ordered too much so I got to clean up! Was the perfect amount!   Later today I have to go and pick up a prescription for the dreaded colonoscopy!  As of Wednesday morning nothing other than clear liquids, that’ll suck! Then Thursday morning bright and early; date that I won’t remember!

Finished wiring the new hydraulic pump for my bender. With this I wired in a contactor & low voltage hand held pendant control. Good friend of mine helped with wiring diagram for the contactor to drop the voltage going into the pendant.

All I have left is to hook up a couple hydraulic hoses & add fluid / bleed air from system.

On my last steel order I had a couple pieces cut from 1/2” plate to make an auxiliary frame for my bender. The standard frame allows 90 degree bends but the auxiliary allows 180 bends. With the help of my swag press brake shop press bender I built this auxiliary frame for around $80 versus full retail of over $500  score!  :likebutton:

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

That won't suck.  It'll blow.
