Made up my axe carrier for my new Bertha.
1/8" checker plate cut to size. 3 pop rivets to secure the cover to the checker.
A 5/16 X 2 1/2" bolt with head removed and cross drilled for a "Chicago" safety pin.
A short length of sash chain to keep safety pin with holder.

This set up would work anywhere you can mount a flat object.
I don't leave into the bush without an axe and this ensures it.

I have the putco LEDs in my LML and they are sickeningly bright, Ken. I know you're old like me so they'd be right up your alley. Downside is they aren't cheap,  really not cheap.  Today I made a fire, drank coffee read drudge and some other alt right sites (like this one) and then made breakfast for the girls. Then changed the windshield washer reservoir in the lml. Mine had a crack in it. Had to pull the battery and the inner fender liner. Then I washed it. Having lunch and trying to decide what project to tackle next.
Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

So, today.  Got up at 6 (slept in) read for an hour, then went to work in The shop to clean up. Moved the Dually in since it was misting and I washed it yesterday. Mowed all the paths on the property and cut and coiled up a ton of barbed wire from old fencing. Then took my girls to the mall and watched Rogue 1.  Great movie. Picked up Buffalo Wild Wings on the way home. Watching myth bitter marathon.

Cleaned up a little more in the shop. Worked on my old poulan chainsaw. Gonna order a new oil pump for it

The. Cleaned the little remy 597 .22LR today and put a new tapco trigger in one of the AKs and ran some steel cases crappy wolf ammo through it.

Taught the pre- ranger wives more shooting on the 22. This time nonsuppressor. Moved the scope back in the rings to make it easier for them to acquire the sight picture.  Had them hitting 2 inch steel at 65 yards and 8 inch at 80.

Love one thing about crappy wolf steel ammo. I can police the range (back porch) with a magnet stick.

Ha, close but no cigar. We had 78 degrees today.

Bent and welded up some rebar for the footings for the weapons building today.  Had bible study on apologetics.  Drove the dually home from the weekend place.  Lots of drunks on the road tonight.  Hope you are all safe.

Great picture Sam.  JR, Reno reminds me of Johnny Cash, Folsom Prison Blues...."I shot a man in Reno...just to watch him die....When I hear that whistle blowin, I hang my head and cry..."

Today, tried out a new breakfast taco place and then re caulked the seams in the master shower.  I started using the caulk remover gel and then just went to the power tool.  Wire wheel in the 4 inch grinder removed caulk like no body's business!  Had to do about 30 linear feet.  Might get ambitious and remove all the grout at a later time.  be a great excuse to  buy an ocillating tool I don't already have..

Also power washed the outside of the house since it was 82 degrees today....Winter in Texas...Yea!

Belated birthday present.  Never had it before. 94 proof single pot still Kentucky bourbon. Too classy for this redneck

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ohh, review once consumed.
That does look classy...

Ok,  Opened the bottle tonight.

Over a few rocks.  At 95 proof it's not as hot as I would have expected.  Good nose, you get a hint of vanilla.  First sip set me back a bit.  It has a real strong flavor of cinnamon and vanilla.  Not my favorite flavors in a bourbon.  Once the rocks started to melt those flavors mellowed and it became a very nice drink.

Cheers, men.

51 this AM and lots of wind....of course this is the day a guy is delivering a shed to my back yard. Yesterday and last week ground was frozen....today will be interesting.  ::)

Yesterday hung new lights on the pond with a neighbor....he's an electrician so had some plugs and a switch...now the kids simply flip the switch when they're done skating. Should make it very easy for them. Cause lord knows unplugging an extension cord is hard work. Ha. :o but it will be nice when done. Dropped some trees right near where I hung the new set of lights so no branches in the way. Will be nice once the cold air comes back. Had leftover prime rib and garlic mashed potatoes for dinner. Then watched the movie Chef with the family. Great movie btw. Not for little ones (language and pot smoking) but a good movie, and a cameo with Aaron Franklin of Franklin BBQ.
