Don are you having to pay taxes on the gains? I would assume so but wasn't sure how that's handled..i.e. via Coinbase or federal tax return etc

If you have the fans install and powered 'like' stock efan vehciles both fans should come on at the same one. There should be two speeds (Low and High)

Here is the fan harness I use and have zero issues with: https://www.bp-automotive.com/product/1999-2006-gm-trucksuv-fan-harness/

The PCM should do all of the 'trigger' work for turning the fans on and off etc

Nice Ex, we have a suburban 2500 with a normal axle :) and love it.

7.3s with an SXE turbo and a tune run and tow great. Brings em into the modern era IMHO

Before I read all of this,  you now need to have your disc brakes custom made to fit your rear axle?  Do I understand this right?  Are you going to have the same person machine some ASAP so you have the right stuff on the shelf in a case of emergancy ?

Pretty much what I was thinking. I like over kill / over built but this just doesnt make sense. A 14 bolt FF out of HD truck or even the diesel 11.5 would have made more sense to me.

I agree replace the stock cooler as its grossly undersized and clean up the POs hack job.

Ive done a Tru Cool M7B on my 2500 Yukon XL and Ive done the Tru Cool 40K on a 6.0 2500.

Both work equally well. M7B in the dead of summer will run 175 degrees and the 40k will run 150. Unless your towing an RV my vote is the M7B.

The fans are controlled by the PCM and Justin will tune them accordingly.

I'd plan on 10mpg Don....if it does better, celebrate. Most folks I know with 3/4 ton Burbs generally consider above 10mpg a bonus/happy moment. At least at freeway speeds 75mph ish.

On our cross country trips in a 2500 Yukon XL running 285/75/16 w electric fans, we get 15.5 mpg at 70 MPH.

Here is ours. We've got 175K trouble free miles. Rebuild the front end, add the pit man and idle arm support kit.

Schedule and appointment with Black Bear Performance and have it tuned.

I leveled the front of ours and bumped the tires up to 265/75/16. 4.10s and 35s will be a dog. Been there done that.

Put a bigger transmission cooler on it.

I also ditched the clutch fan due to wanting better AC performance in Texas summers. On road trips we see 15 MPG (barely) and ave 12 every where else.

Dont pull into a gas station on a road trip and not turn it off: https://www.rv.net/FORUM/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/23822076/

Before spending cash on HID, try grounding the low beam to the frame that way when you kick the highs on the lows will stay on. More than enough light.

Is the Borg Warner turbo an SXE? If so, you will LOVE it. EGTs do not exist any more on my 7.3 with the s364.5 turbo I'm running  :beercheers:

Good post, I just wrapped mine up today as well. 10w40 oil change and hydro gear oil change. Ready for another year of service.

13
we'll be towing a lot for sure... but probably not north of 5000lb. i believe it has a tranny cooler on it already. i need to check.

Living in Texas, I only did the efans for the AC improvements at idle and low speeds. Everything else was a benefit. But the towing I have done, the efans have done great. 5K LBS would be a none issue in my opinion.

Ether way, Im jealous of the 6 speed tranny you have!

14
We have 160K miles on ours (Black Bear Tuned) and it flat out hauls butt!

All of the 2500 comes with a tranny cooler. They look like this:

15
We love our 2500 Yukon XL. If you dont plan to tow heavy, the factory efans are nice for the summer time and lead to better mpg in the winter when the AC is not on! Also if you plan to do any towing, get a tranny cooler. Else enjoy it!

We always percolate when we're camping. At home I'm too impatient. Got Mr coffee on a timer.

We do the same thing  :beercheers:

Don here is a copy of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards for Chimneys, Fireplaces, Vents and Solid Fuel-Burning Appliances (2003 version).

This was very handy when I built the alcove for my wood stove.

I've read so much about the trigger upgrades, it makes me wonder.

Just picked up a M&P Shield in 9mm. Who has one? Are the APEX trigger mods worth it?

So far its extremely accurate. Will finish breaking it in Friday  :)

Breakfast...one of my favorite meals. Back in February the wife and I changed eating habits (for good) and went full paleo diet (think cave man...nothing processed). By summer (3 months) I had dropped 30lbs and have keep it off.

Breakfast for me consists of 3 scrambled eggs from the BYCs and a chopped up sausage (100 natural no nitrates etc) with some Herdez salsa Verde. Ill snap a pick tomorrow morning!

Not sure what you have decided to go with but on the 2500 Yukon, we put Cooper AT3 tires on and they kick but all around. They will go on the 2500HD when the BFG AT KO are done.

What ya doing with the take offs

6.0 I had the axles regeared to 4.56 to make up for the 285's. IIRC its geared 3% steeper than stock now.

Few years back I put in a 60 gallon fuel tank with in cab switch.

Sammconn fully agree. Just rebuilt the brakes on the 2500 Yukon XL and it flat out stops NOW

Agree on all of the above. Main key is making sure all the slide points are greased well.
