Thank you. I left Safety and work in a new department, however I still help out with the Safety department.

Missed another camping weekend with my GF, her son and I think a couple of her friends and mom. I have to keep plugging along on my homework so I can have next month of free time before the next semester starts.  Got promoted at work a couple months ago to a Supervisor position that takes me to work early and staying late but I set a rotation with the other Supervisors so we can at least get a couple early days off.

its funny you say that bobby.  tactical tailor has since closed their show room,drastically reduced their inventory, stopped selling firearms and firearm accessories, no more ammo, drastically reduced their inventory and have moved locations since they were robbed in 2016/2017.  they still sell some stuff online but a majority of what they make now goes to gov contracts.

I have been mulling over building a 300blk in either the SBR or pistol route. It's best role is a suppressed short barrel anyway. But we'll see how this semester of school turns out and how my summer looks.

Thermal: Yea it's cool but eventually it'll get heavy when carrying.
NVGs: Yea it's cool but better have a good helmet with a mount or suffer the agony of a skull crusher.
DBAL / PEQ-15 (Civilian version): Yea they are cool, but if you don't have the NVGs it's not too useful.

Night vision is the cornerstone to winnin' a gunfight that happens at night in my humble opinion.

There is truth to that, but also NVG has its drawbacks and limitations. People get too dependent on using technology, technology fails. Someone once asked me what I'd do if someone broke into my apartment and they had NVGs... my answer.. a bright light right in the face. NVG is great, when it's dark. Hit the lights and it's a new story.

Well it wasn't a super realistic simulator. I ran them through some tame drills to work on their trigger work and sight alignment. Jena took to it pretty quick, once I got her to stop squeezing the trigger. She preferred running the sims without the laser, her son had issues but it was due to the pistol being too big. He's only 8 so the simulators glock 17 sized laser gun wasn't comfortable to hold, but he did ok. Jena didn't like when I threw some Zombies at her, but she did pretty good at the shoot/no shoot sims and the tame version of a shoothouse.

After I ran them through some programs they wanted to run the computer and were changing simulations on me. They found some low level shoot/no shoot and a simulated village with insurgents.. I had no issues with the drills.

If you are going to buy and potentially USE a tourniquet I'd recommend you get some training from professionals, not youtube, not someone who knew someone who knew a guy who used one back in the day. The TQs you can buy that aren't cheap have a decent sized tag on them by the windlass that has TIME on it for the purpose of writing the time applied, makes it easy to see when there's blood everywhere. Remember you can write a T on someones head, but if they are at the point where a TQ is needed there's going to be blood, and dirt, grass and basically everything sticks to that so you writing T on their forehead might not cut it.

Slept in a little bit, woke up and had coffee with Jena. She left to help out at a event her company is putting on to help people in the area. You can email in and request up to 2 pizzas for your family, you drive up and they deliver them curbside to your car, free of charge. Her and her son are off doing that until 1900ish and I'm doing homework, well I was but I needed a break.

Well after the long week at work, and doing homework pretty much all day, I cancelled my weekend plans with the girlfriend so I guess I social distanced myself or whatever the term is now. So now she gets to relax in peace with wine and a girly movie at her place, while I continue to study OSHA Regulatory Compliance and Fundamentals of Occupational Safety... yay.
