Hope I'm not too late... Did you eliminate the cp4 and convert to cp3? I don't remember.
I wouldn't use home remedies on an LML personally. I've been using optilube since truck was new but not sure if it would work fast enough for your issue.
I'd save trans fluid and similar for mechanical injection only.

As much as I agree with Tex, I carry mixed, but it vaires little. 90% I have my MP shield.

All are 40's, but I sure like the XDS(45) and glocks (23-22), they just "feel right".

Still just haven't got into the 9mm thing. Fun to shoot and more cost effective. Sure they say they "hit" as good now, but tech changes for all rounds, not just 9mm. Seen to many 9mm just make holes, other rounds no.

My 1911 Commander and 22 really stay at home. I do not like safetys at all.
Who uses the safety?
Hammer back, no safety is very similar to free-balling. Pardon my Canadian

209
Hold on now,

Dipstick operation is a very complex system to master, now you have a better foundation to start from.

Just look Ken had you rebuilding the engine, and TRN had you calling engine shops to get labor quotes.

Dipsticks are tricky but it seems you might be on a positive trajectory to understanding the basics
It was meant as a suppliment to your advice, jerk. ;P

Yeah Ryan, around here we call Charles pops for a reason. He's older than 1911s.

LMAO... first thing the rocket guy said.

Happened again this morning. I'm due for an oil change. Actually, about 700 miles overdue. What are the risks of continuing to drive this?
Oil pressure=blood pressure

You need to know if the gauge is accurate, like Phil basically said.

213
Sounds like the pressure release stuck initially. Is it fresh oil?
I tend to see that on cars after a recent oil change.
Edit: that's if it's not the sending unit.

Absolutely. Lol

It was $500 plus 100 per month. They just sent out emails about a price hike to $560 for those that previously paid a deposit (me) and $120/month or $600 plus 120/month for new customers.
If you put down a deposit on a set pricing, how can they raise it?

Still jealous Sam. Waiting very impatiently while watching utube in 480p. Ugh

Shawn, you can't have a smooth surface. That's why I didn't want to ride up those side plates.
Dave is probably right that the tracks would flex down and grab the ribs but I just don't have the experience.
Also this dozer isn't hydrostatic. It's go or stop with at least a second of delay.
I did find some conveyor belt to put on the beaver tail for traction, and to save the paint on the ramps.

All this trouble for one trip. Oh well, can't help myself. Hate tearing equipment up, especially a fairly new trailer.

Only under acceleration sounds more like an exhaust leak.

Those numbers aren't crazy, but could still be an injector knock also... same as "Spark knock". It's the same issue... fuel lighting off before it's supposed to.
Typewriter tick doesn't just happen on acceleration and usually happens right after a fresh oil change.

Went ahead and moved the ramps to lessen my OCD flare-up. Just don't feel like "sending" it!!
Ended up with 32"...gives me 2.5" of clearance.
Downside is they're not adjustable now, but the widest vehicle I have is my truck on 35s, and it still fits... not counting the 5 ton, which also weighs 22k.

Your inside measures that? Overhang is fine.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The problem is the angle iron bars on the ramps are recessed, so if I miss, the tracks will be riding on just the 1/4" side plates. No bueno.

Gonna try pulling the hinges and moving the ramp ears to the inside.

Probably worried about nothing, but that's just what I do.

Had a spare set of rails for a rollback wrecker and realized the spacing was just right on my flat deck.
Just had to drill and tap 12 holes for 1/2" retaining bolts. I took the outer boards off to make it easier.

Also realized the track spacing on baby dozer is 34.5 inches.
The minimum spacing on the trailer ramps is 34.5 inches between them. Might need more practice before loading this thing.

Figured it was time to service my '12 GMC before the Idaho trip. The only oil I've changed in 90k is the engine oil, since going with amsoil when it was new.
This truck is always on the 200 horse tune unless heavy towing, and very few highway miles.

I've honestly never seen a transmission pan and filter this clean at that mileage,   especially with the way I drive. Very little clutch material and a small layer on the magnetic drain plug. Hopefully the diffs are similar.

I've never had one. I was taught, strictly, when I was a child. I learned trigger discipline way back, and it stuck with me. BTW, I'm knocking on wood as I type this. Just in case. ;-)
Definitely knocking on wood...

I wasn't taught anything, except how to ride around in the desert shooting doves from the roof of a station wagon, while dad was getting plastered behind the wheel.
He also found it quite entertaining to slam on the brakes while his 12 year old son went flying with a loaded shotgun into the hood.
I did pay him back tho... fun times

For a long tow I would turn it around. The real weight is ahead of the axles. Guy who taught me for hauling stuff in our smaller trucks is if the rear only squats about an inch, you are GTG.
I can't load it that way. The blade barely fits... I'd have to have it perfectly centered when it breaks over, plus the engine and blade with it's frame are pretty darn heavy.
Doesn't matter really. I'll be using the gooser for the Idaho trip.

So I don't DOT "Sending off a young man"

Way back when I worked and flew on the Air Force Airborne Command Post aircraft (the ones that could launch the nukes if we had to). Every day at the appointed time the tech(me) and some officer (O1-3) because of the 2 man policy around those aircraft. We had to go reset all the codes on the aircraft that sat on alert (ready to take off with in minutes). We one day the O2 was in the aircraft while I was  resetting the codes. He was practicing his fast draw and put a hole in the side of the aircraft. This in turn drew the attention of several young men with M16 looking for the person that did the damage. I never saw that O-2 again and we had ro get another aircraft to replace the one with a new hole in it.

I sure hope the Army has a better system on which officer gets sidearms.

Boss is this how it should be done? LOL

My first question is, why was a round chambered? Was that in your SOP?
Second thing, when the weapon is hot, why was he handling it at all?
I understand the two man rule, I was a Nuke Surety officer twice in my career. If I saw another man draw his pistol, and I didn't know him well, I might well have pulled mine and shot him for fear he was going to compromise the weapons. Bottom line, serious people do not play with weapons, kids/boys/fools and the like do. If I were you in that circumstance I would have warned him not to touch that weapon again. If he did I'd call the duty officer or security people immediately.
I carried a pistol most of my career, then for five more years as an operator for other folks. I wouldn't have a round in the chamber until just before pitch pull, going outside of the wire/wall/fence. I never played with the weapon. I pulled it to use it or to practice or top clear it or to load it. No other reasons. It's called discipline.
In my old business I only ever saw two negligent discharges. Once we were getting fired upon and a Ranger fired his M4 through the floor of my aircraft. The other time the deputy commander shot a hole through his sleeping bag and into his kit bag in the hangar during operation Just Cause. The sergeant fixed the Ranger, but we were flying directly into a fire fight where PDF guys were trying to get to American families, so I just let it slide. The latter resulted in a bunch of bad Ju-ju for that Major.
Professionals do not play around with real firearms, they use them properly.
He said 38 wheel gun to be clear.

Never thought I'd get to hear stories from someone older than the Boss.

I would be sure to run VW spec oil in that thing. Might wanna look over the valve train also. Him being a tech hopefully means he used the right oil, but never know.

Don my opinion is worth exactly what you are paying for it.

For what you are going to have in this a dmax swap is in range . You wont be happy until you have the earth turning power of a diesel.

I hope I’m wrong but you may be two builds into a project that still doesnt meet your needs and way over budget for a lb7 build.

I’ll see you guys in a while after the ban is lifted…

My brain says turn it around but all the motor and weight is on the front of that.  The cage and fuel is all that’s on the back right?

When ya headed north?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'd say it's pretty even, and turned around would tow better with weight shifted rearward. It definitely would be easier to pull it straight in.
..but I'd run the blade through the side panels trying to keep it straight, especially when it breaks over.
