Title: showing off our maladies, Stitches, surgeries, etc...
Post by: Nate on August 15, 2018, 05:00:40 PM

I thought I would start a thread where we could all show off our maladies. Stitches, surgeries, etc... I think we should see who can top who until we all scream TMI!

Only stipulation is...…... it has to be of your injury and not some craziness you pulled off the internet!  If you want to add what was don't to correct your issue, then that would be okay as well.

Pic of cancer tumor on the base of my tongue that started all of this last year.

Knee vs. Chainsaw.
Chainsaw always wins.
God had my six this day, nine stitches, no damage other than the not so wee flesh wound. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180815/7caa6a313c04f8fb366be8a9e15e8bcb.jpg)

Don’t use an axe as a hatchet. Your arm gets tired and you lose spatial awareness of the axe head.

Got bored in the RamTruckForum so, here I wander into a place with a Title that made me smile and go "Yeah, I got pics for this!"

Now, any time wifey hears me yell, she immediately says "Do we have to go to the hospital again?

Fun to follow soon...just a taste for now, Harleys bite.

LOL  TRN..

Don, You are the owner...you can delete.. or just tapping out... TMI?  :beercheers:

It originally reminded me of sitting around the fire at Elk Camp and someone asks "how did you get that scar?"... and it devolves down from there. Pretty soon it was the best story one could make up.

Example: I used to work construction pouring foundations for basements and using forms. When you knocked off the form the wire retention hoops that were cut still stuck out razor sharp. So walking in the pit next to the new wall I hooked my left arm by the elbow on one and cut it wide open. Not real deep so no biggie. But because it was on the crook of my arm every time I straightened my arm out it would pop the scab open so after several of those the scar looked like it was large with a bunch of big stitches. When really it was just a scratch... I had to come up with a much better story than that..

Power washing accident.  Took one too many steps, head first off a 5' high deck.  Landed on left shoulder & face.  Broken collar bone, grade 4 shoulder separation and fractured T2 vertabrae.  Dope.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180818/939b1f0027d15b173ee107e7d27c2cc2.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180818/d0b2cb70a36352f7758ec02efcbb2d38.jpg)

My deck.  Used to be a round pool there.  It froze & wall split & 20,000 gallons went down my driveway.  Took it down, leaving my booby trap.  Glasses were completely mist & fogged powerwashing and just stepped right off.  Gravity works.  Railing up now.  Kids are 29 & 25.

Electrical tape works great until you're trying to get rid of all the glue left behind, with brake clean. Tends to have a slight burning sensation.

The jab thrown at you sir, our new friend, was for posting pics of bloody rags and not the source of the blood itself! Lol

...but since you played Superman off of a skyscraper deck, you're forgiven!

OK.  I'll start by sayin' this was NOT my fault.  Throttle stuck in 3rd gear, road curved & I didn't.  I just aimed for the most green spot I saw.  At least I missed the power pole. :)  (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180819/e9a15074f43bd64f0a5c7cd558c650b0.jpg)

Man, this guy sure knows how to get all buggered up!

Nice contusion!

BTW, I just sold my scooter. Too many close calls with "Road Gators"

I couldn't believe it, but a few weeks back, I was speeding down the highway and sitting in my lane was a section of a crane boom! Darn thing was 20-30 feet long and maybe 5 feet square of steel. Had I hit that, I would have been "Mistified"

That was it, done with bikes. Roads are just too dangerous and with this new crop of drivers and all the illegals.

I must be a wussy or not doing it correctly but the .308 left a mark from last night. LOL I thought it was very tight to my shoulder! The funny thing is you can see the stripe pattern from the skinny rubber stock butt.

Well worth getting to fire it off.  :beercheers:

Genemens, allow me to make a note here

I censored the entry from New Jersey (Please don't make it more than it is)

But I'm the big guy, and I'm workin for the bigger guy

I read the post where I censored and I thought it was coarse and I could not imagine speaking in that manner in front of Jesus

Now I will confess, I cuss sometimes and I am by far the worse of this lot of fine men, but despite my numerous shortcomins' I still want this place to be pleasing to my God.

OK, Nuff said, Continue mission (CM)

Ephesians 5:4-6 New Matthew Bible (NMB)
4 Nor should there be coarseness, or foolish talking, or jestings which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this you know, that no whoremonger or unclean person, or covetous person (who is an idolater), has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Hey Ken, I think you should offended too. Oh wait is he still banned if so he can’t be offended? Then come to think of it his affiliation with that H word is really offensive in general. Hmmm, now I’m just getting confused better stop while I’m not banned too.....

DOT is a term the boss came up with to describe Ken. It was an alternative to ya calling him a Hillary lover.......

Well, not exactly but Ken is a main issue in all of this. Truthfully Don came up with DOT which is short for derailer of threads. All of us DOT’s start commenting on a thread and before you know it the thread is all jammed up kind of like this one at the moment. How does that sound Nate?

This is sure gettin' complicated fellas.  Tell you what, I'l watch, you play and when I think I know the players and the rules, I'll jump in, or ride my Harley in, whichever I can get hurt worse doin'.

And just to be clear, I'm only a 3 wood and a 9 iron from 60 yrs old, born & raised in NJ all my life.  I just don't fit in much.  Conservative, Christian, White, Male that hunts defensless animals, ride a Harley, lost track of how many guns are in the safe and believe Hillary, Holder, Obama and a bunch more should have been shot long ago for committing treason.  And I pull the Red lever every election.  Out numbered is putting it mildly.  If I'm not what you're lookin' for just break it to me gently, 'cause my "safe space" is closed until the new drapes are installed.

I truly believe Tennessee is gonna be my "correctly shaped hole".  Most people there are polite, respectful and helpful from what I've seen.  Not used to that.  I just hope all these fearmongers don't tear down every last Confederate monument before I get there.  I'm kind of a history buff, especially war related.  History is just that, history.   Omama changed all the wording and language in thousands of Gov't documents and childrens school books.  He didn't make history not happen, just harder to find out about it.  Thank God we now have the great Omama Eraser in the White House. Now, if I could just sell this house....anybody wanna move to NJ?

I think places like New York, NJ, Maryland, Connecticut, delaware and eastern PA is set up for a big fall. The socialist movement will accelerate the slide down the slope and that whole thing will implode at some point.

It's already happening.  Our new Democrt Gov. has already passed a law making our 15 round magazines illegal when it becomes law in about 2 months.  10 rounds max from now on.  That'll save lives.  Idiot.  Facts mean nothing to these people.  They are deranged.  He's a socialist at heart.  I can't leave soon enough.  Now this thread is really off track.

If you need someplace to store your 10+ round mags until you move, I can keep them exercised and happy for you. ;). Don’t want anyone to get hurt because you have “high” capacity magazines that might get angry.

Well I have a new one. Last night my 16 year old son was warming up for his very first High School Varsity league soccer game and gets knocked to the ground. Spent a few hours in the emergency room with a broken collar bone. Will definitely need surgery. Bummer is he will miss the entire season in his Junior year and won't be available for college scouts. Will have to keep hitting the books for scholarships. Lol. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180825/86e041a71b59ac623addc24678cd958e.jpg)

We're being asked to leave.  Sorry, was just tryjng to introduce (prove) myself to some guys I don't know.  But, the humor section?  What, you think I'm funny?  How, like a clown?  Do I amuse you?  "Joe Pesci in Goodfella's, in case somebody didn't get it."

I'm a Chevy guy if you wanna go back to the 60's & 70's.  Still got a balanced, blueprinted 406 cu. in.  small block on an engine stand in my garage.  However,  Chevy offered me nothing for my trade in.  Zero.  Fomoco offered me $500. and Ole Dardge offered me $2,500.  What would you do?  I DID buy a 3/4 Ton.  That's gotta count for something.  That 392 puuuuullllllllls man.  Got the 4.10 rears.

Tell your son, I know his pain.  Been there, done that, got the T-shirt.  Very disheartening initially. Also very painful.  Takes a year to heal.  DO NOT RUSH IT!  Do yhe excersizes in PT and he'll be laughing about this next year.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180825/8a9b30b0e25cf03e2351e8baff2c5a36.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180825/679e8a25d61f6035e280357f856bfdc1.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180825/0abc486b11771535a81ab2ede570594f.jpg)

That's because
1. He's young and stupid (we all were)
2. It hurts way more 4 hrs later
3. He felt he let the team down (he didn't)
4. Biggest problem with teens, as soon as it doesen't hurt too much, he's gonna think he can go out and be himself.  Unfortunately, that won't ever be true.  Over the head movement of the arm is extremely bad and could set him back quite a bit.  This is not the type of injury where you're all good in 8 weeks.  This is a forever thing that certain things are limited or just not possible without re-injury occurring.  Are they gonna drill the 2 bones and use the titanium dog bones with super strong Dr. string to pull it all back together?  That can't be done until all the swelling goes down.  I had that done.  I'll try to photo the X-Rays for him.  I'm sure he's curious.  I'm 90+ %.  Just cant do straight above the head stuff, like blocking a soccer ball.
I had grade 4 separation
He may not.  Grade 4 is really bad.  They only go to 5.
