Had eye surgery today to fix a lazy/googly eye. Everything went well. Had to mess with the kids when I got home with the patch on my eye. It was fun.

Did you paint an eye on a golf ball??? Nicely done, albeit a wee bit cruel on the kids, but still, nice job!

That's pretty funny, considering it came from 'ol one-eyed Dave.
Bet they didn't see that coming....
Guess you could use the baggie to keep an eye on them...
Looks like it's a little red, did you catch it?

Yes, eye on a golf ball for the win. My oldest daughter drew it on there for me. She thought it was funny. The rest of them took a few seconds. My 3(almost 4) year old was the only one that had a real problem with it. He came around in the end.
Here’s the real deal.

For Dave.
First one is where I step in the truck, next to the actual step area, out of habit. The outer shiny later is a little worn. The rest is still good. The last one is raptor on back bumper... faded bad and it's a few years newer iirc.

Yeah it's really nice, as long as you get someone who does it correctly. ...all depends on the dealer.
They actually take the paint code from the vehicle and use that color, in urethane.

^^^ That.  It is just like paint.  A lot of the quality is still dependent on good prep work.  I tried taking a couple to one of the local linex guys per customers request but after a couple failed attempts, and then bringing one to a different linex dealer and having them tell me all the areas the previous guy was doing it wrong I refuse to take anything to him.

Working on moms house. Have to have it done by the end of the month final. Closes on the 5th.

Put 4 pieces out for free, gone in 3 hours.

Having to put grounded plugs through out. Wire is there, just not hooked up in 55. Only GFCI was in the bathroom, had to add 2 by the kitchen sink, 1 to washer.

Move washer/dryer outlets to other side of the wall along with the water. Tub was pretty easy with the sharkbit fittings. Trap is still on the other side of the wall. All the lines had been run through holes in the wall, hense the wood.

Went out and enjoyed this beautiful spring day. The kids had taken their pellet guns out to shoot in the backyard, so not to be outdone, I grabbed the AR and the .22 and headed out. Checked zero on the AR and shot through a mag, then helped all the little kids(under 10) shoot the .22 and then let the older boys shoot some. My wife was watching and having fun and then she shot through a mag on the AR as well. She had shot it once before, she likes shooting, just with the kids she doesn’t get a chance to as much as I do.  She was easily shooting minute of scumbag and better. Ive got a vortex strike fire 2 on it and I like the fact she can just grab it and hit the target.  Overall, a beautiful way to spend a couple of hours with the family.

Over at moms house, close to being done.

Just did a drop off at a local "donation center". Places are picky now about what you give them, then leave it in the rain.

A few months ago I broke the window in my truck shell. I had no idea how it broke.  It was there when I closed the shell, drive home and the glass was al over my bed.    I called my insurance (Allstate) and told them the window broke, no idea how, no police report just broken window and asked if they would replace it.   Sure enough. She jumped hoop after hoop and said yep we will reimburse for it if you purchase it.  Well fast forward three months of the window sitting in my garage. I finally installed it.  Came with new gas struts, new seal tape, new lock and key.

Looks good.

Who do you get to help you take that thing on and off all the time?  Also, where/how do you store that when not on your truck?

So at grandmas I had a ceiling hook up set up, new house is way to tall to juggle that high.
I can muscle it off the truck on my own when needed but usually I plan ahead to sucker a neighbor in to help. Store it currently in my mobile storage unit/trailer on top of the little moto trailer.
The tanou cover I set on the footing of the garage wall and strap to the wall paint side out with some eye bolts into studs.
And it goes on and off much the same way
I like having both and I don’t like my bed open

You boys have been busy.  I got up at 04:30 and drank coffee then drove 2 hours to Corsicana to meet a guy and pick up LLY heads, fuel rails and valve covers.

Then pulled the spindle off the mower since it spun the pulley.  Local guy didn’t have one....bummer.  Now I have to wait until 2 weeks from now to mow.

Made progress on the casita (in the hide thread) and cranked the push mower.

Tomorrow I’ll set the shower floor tile and then paint and start installing the trim and vanity fixture and drawers and supply and drain plumbing.

Getting close!

Love something that big. I keep looking but coming up short on what I want. Even in Ca and Or plots I like are great looking, forested and rolling landscape. In Nv for the same price it is just flat dirt!

Yep, need driving distance for now, 3 hours or so. Gives options of day trips or long work weekends/weeks.

I would look in Az, NM even as far as Tx if I could.

JR, buy twice as much as you need near Lake Tahoe, low down with small payments. Hold it for a couple years, sell off half and you can pay off the whole package.

Something to ponder. Found several lots for between 100-150, so a DP is all it would take.

We shall see, I close in 2 weeks and just have a little dry rot to address and a good cleaning. Then its a waiting game since here they can walk away with 3 days to go.

We had a problem with heater controls on our GM also, they went thru the glove box area to replace the bad actuator instead of tearing the dash apart to get to it. Either way it is a bitch to replace...right Ken?....
