Speaking of AR-14's I think I'll dust off my M1A.

Why would you let dust settle upon such a work of art. Even though many hate them.

Yep. I had a chance to buy one made in 88 so it had all GI parts. I should've snatched it up.

I bought mine, well actually a warrant bought mine for me at Jim's pawn shop there at bragg in 84. Made from GI parts except for NM barrel.

Great place, at least it was when I was at Bragg, but it could be changed now.

That is the place for sure. That and "Ranger-Joe's" at Benning.
I wonder if Ft. Bragg will become Ft. Saquille or Fort Jessica, or some other less bigoted name...
To me, that place will always be simply, "Bragg" home of the Army Airborne and the All Americans

I doubt the name will ever change. Even if by some miracle the official name changes it'll still be referred to as Bragg. But I was reading some threads on what people think it should be named and Ft. Gavin kept coming up.

It'll never change. I might go back and visit when my buddy gets back from overseas, assuming I can get there with the 'Rona crap going on.
