Guys on a much less serious note....

Pray for me and my family that we may make the right decision.

I'm being presented with an opportunity to take a CEO role in Nashville.  Uprooting the family is a tough thing when the girls are in middle school and one has had some issues with depression and thoughts of harming herself.

My family is here, hers is in Memphis.  Its a great opportunity and long term the money would be awesome due to the equity.  In know there is more to life than money but all the things seem to point in the right direction.

Thanks

Bear my 300WM before it was sent to GAP had such a long throat I had rounds that were .120 over COAL by the book. When GAP sent the rifle back and I measured again I had to run all the rounds I had back through the press and bring them in about .130 to get a short jump into the lands. Before GAP got ahold of it I was shooting 2 inch groups until I moved the rounds out. Then it closed to 3/4.  After GAP worked it over it shoots much better than I do.  It's 3/8 capable but I still flinch with no muzzle break or suppressor on it.

What is the pattern?  Stringing up and down is generally breathing. Left right is slapping the trigger. If you don't have a depth gauge try getting one and handloading with .020 off the lands. Factory barrels are inherently long throated to eat any bullet shape and length safely.

So I got my soil testing report back from Texas A&M today.  First time I've had my garden soil tested.  All looked OK except i had too much phosphorous, probably from too much mushroom compost.  Best $17 I spent.  I'll post more in my hide/retirement site.

Im not sure what to think about this one.  I get it, but I feel violated.

Cant we just start with a wall and extreme vetting?

I read that immigrants coming in from the mid east don't even get checked against the data bases our in theater forces collect on known scumbags

sorry, Bobby.  If you dont get a flu shot, at least get your doc to write you a tamiflu script to keep handy.  Tamiflu really only works if you get on it within 24 hours of symptoms.  It aint cheap but its better than suffering.

Hope you feel better!  Try my flu remedy.

Tablespoon of honey, wedge of lemon, 2 ounces of kentucky bourbon.  Throw the honey and lemon over your shoulder and down the whiskey.

Time to upgrade the health insurance and homeowners policies

Ha! No kidding!  I have 2M in excess liability so I think I'm covered.  Now had they seen me in my climbing rig, they might have decided to cancel my policy....

Yesterday I used a single foot loop on a prusik knot to climb.  it was tedious and arduous.  Today I used my Petzel ascender with a dual foot loop and did the sit and stand method and it worked much much better.

I'm still not settled on wether to use a single rope technique or a dual rope and pulley like I had today.

I have a rope with a pulley on a figure 8 on a bight that I have over the crotch of the tree and a rope through the pulley with the working end anchored to my Petzel zig zag with a carabiner and the running end through the pulley and through the zig zag.  Then my ascender above on the running side.

It worked great for ascending but I'm still working the descending rate using the zig zag.  Im a bit herky jerky with it and not a smooth descent.

I could swing an engine block from it. It's waaaay over built.  Rated at 4000 lb. (2k each side on the weakest component ) I suspect at least 2x safety factor.

Not to
Complicate matters but most things with an electric motor have tremendous current draw to get the motor started. Known as LRA or locked rotor amps. This LRA is many multiples of the running amperage draw. Make sure to consider this in your calculations esp for things like compressors and air conditioners

So, Amored guy I work with (Lt. Tank commander from desert storm) ordered a bunch of quoffee from black rifle.  Hooked me up with a bag of CAF.  Brewed a full pot at the office and after 3 cups I was out working the 20somthing kids.  Highly recommend for anyone looking for a boost in productivity, testosterone or a good case of heart palpitations.

Programming is when XM pays a fee/royalty/salary to air material. Advertising is when someone pays to have their material aired. Perhaps a lesson in definition is in order for the folks at XM
