Charles, what scenario are you thinking you may need one of these? Curious.....
...He still has kids teenage girls living at home...
Fixed it.... When the boys start showing up, I'd like to start with less than lethal.....rubber bullet and then if they are really persistent, the taser.... Seriously, I don't know yet. Maybe in areas where I'm legally required to not carry a firearm

Any of you LE guys have experience with these? $1000 rig sold as trade in for $200. I was thinking about picking one up. Pros, Cons, other advice is appreciated. Cartridges are available readily it seems, so after I accidentally taser myself, I should be able to reload it. https://www.armsunlimited.com/TASER-X26-Blade-Tech-Holster-USED-p/x26.htm

Interesting. Cargo ramp had power according to pilot blogs so cargo should have been able to get in and out. I would however think that more than one cargo plane would have left or arrived in 11hours.
For some type of "op" I don't think it should take 11 hours. If anything that long of a "diversion" invites much more scrutiny than a 30-60 minute in and out op.
I think this one is more hype than anything, but who knows.

Thanks Jared. You have a link to that foam stuff?
A trick to working with the tape is to leave the wax paper on it until the panel is in place and then put a screw in the panel to hold it in place and slightly lift the edge and pull the paper strip off.

It would have to be a low slope and some torrential wind driven rain, but hey they call for it so I'm gonna do it.

They do Ken. However. Best practice is a line of butyl tape along the top of the panel that gets overlapped. It would have to be some hard wind driven rain to get through but on a low slopes roof I didn’t want to take any chances.

Not sure I’m tracking 100% JR. However as long as you have airspace the foil will be effective. I suppose that if you are keeping heat out then foil goes out. If I’m cold climate the foil would go in?

And now I won’t say that I forgot the butyl tape between panels until halfway through and had to go back and undo and lift the edge of each panel and out the tape down.

Thanks gents. Working on the metal roof for the porch. Got purlins up and attaching hardie facia so I can get the overhang right. The porch will be the only part of the house with a gutter on it. Pics later.

Seasoned connoisseur , Ken.
They also make soapstone cubes you keep frozen to chill good scotch. I was told many years ago that anything 18 or older , you never put ice in. Ken is right. If you have one big cube then there is a drinking pace that allows for the perfect amount of water to be introduced. Too slow and it gets watery. Too fast and welll....

Good job ken. Knowing how creative thieves are in might consider a couple of elephant poles in front to keep them from backing over it and the fence to get the keys.

My understanding is that the foil is only effective if it does not touch anything. It blocks radiation but is still conductive. If anything is touching it, like insulation then it’s better just to use plain foam. It must have an air space to keep the radiation from transmitting

One thing I didn’t mention was that in order to get the slope to the sills I took my saws all and cut a small wedge out of the jack stud and then shimmed up the sill. Wish I’d have planned it when I framed but it worked out well this way. Had about 3/16 slope when done. I was really happy the sills were all spot on left to right and required no extra shims.

Not that you asked for suggestions or need extra work but some matching curved braces on the pavilion there would tie it together nicely.

Repairing battery packs is not that hard. When I get a break I’ll do A write up. Little li cells and a soldier gun and you are back in business and you can increase the amp hour capacity too

Yeah, the way I keep my credit rating up is use 2 credit cards to buy everything and pay them off each month and never pay interest.
One of the cards puts 2% of what I spend into my kids 529 fund so I put everything I can on it. I tried to put my dually on it but the dealer didnt want to honor the deal I cut if I was going to use the credit card.

The nail gun hooks can be bought at HomeDepot and Lowes now. They are usually near the tool belts. They attach to the air inlet nipple. Many guns even have them built in. I have them on most of my guns so i can hook them to my belt or to a rafter or ceiling joist. Since i have been getting the hooks i have not seen a $400 gun come off from up high and fall onto the slab. On another note i had a hammer hook once in the middle back. It was an awkward reach. I tried the hook in the middle front which did not last long. Those Occidental bags are good but expensive. I usually just pick mine up at Lowes or HomeDepot. They last a couple years but start to get holes. I am currently looking at new bags. I need a better drill holder solution. The key with bags is to be able to find a tool without looking. Also, the pockets must stay open. Two belts ago i had one which held my Springfield XD 40. The amount of dust that got on it though required a daily cleaning. I will Frankenstein my next belt to fit the 40 again. Going to look for a closed holster. Maybe something with a couple of snaps.
Oddly enough Lowes did not have them but HD did. My brand new coil nailer slid down the roof and onto the ground. Fortunately no damage but I need to hang it from something other than the bag.

Kyle what do you use it for?
Today I was supposed to work on writing performance reviews for my direct reports, but with rain coming tomorrow I wanted to get windows in. I got 6 of 8 in, including one of the 4'0X5'0 windows, which was a bear to get in.
I'll work on performance reviews tomorrow while it rains and then when it clears on Saturday I'll finish the windows and the final small roof trim pieces and then roof the porch.

I hate debt too Don, but using someone else's money is a smart thing and keeps credit rating topped off. Funny how credit works. If you never use it , it atrophies..

Blaine, thanks for sharing. Proof indeed that it takes more than sperm donation to be a dad.
Life lessons. Lessons to take with you into your life and share with your children. Thinking about this makes me remember lessons from my grandparents. Simple people who survived the depression but who had great wisdom.
One of my favorites was whenever I would get hurt (no matter how bad) my grandfather would say to me...."it could have been worse....it could have been me"...then turn and walk away...

Sounds like a good build. Looking forward to seeing some 5 shot groups out of it.
Muzzle brakes, are great when you shoot by yourself but around others, you will not be liked much. With my old 300WM with a massive break, I was relegated to the extreme end of the shooting line in class. And when I lit one with the muzzle still inside the end of a 48 inch pipe during one stage, my RSO had to take a break..... The concussion was massive.
I prefer shooting suppressed. Recoil reduction and hearing protection all in one. And I have more friends at the range....
