Yep, interstate is not what it used to be. Even costco changed the return policy. Was 4 years exchange, now its 3 years prorated so you get less back and price goes up.

Was just told my well should going by friday, finally. Have me scheduled for a week but hoping for a shallower well.

Hoping the incident was a reminder to take better care of myself. Being 62 and a little heavy is not the best thing.

400w inverter will draw upwards of 35 amps.
Don’t let CCA fool you to believe it is AH.
Two different things. That inverter would flatten a car battery in about four hours at rated load.
The coolers are not easy on a battery either.
If you’re going to run those add a bit more solar to the house batteries in the can.
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

They would not even charge small things without going down. Fridge is super eff and I pre cool before I use. So far pretty happy with it. When at the ridge I use the solar and batteries up there. Holds a solid 14.4v all day and stays about 13v all night running it and the lights.

Inverter was charging a mini laptop, Maybe 150 watts. They have gone dead before and with weather coming up having fresh batteries will put me at ease.

Fair enough. I have seen lots of people underestimate loads.
Once you have new again you’ll be good.

Exide AGM. Been in my truck 3+ years now and they’ve been great. Exide is/was one of the last made in the USA brands.

I am looking at AGM, love em. These were $6 exchange and if they go I will go AGM for sure.

In the cont I have a 12v and two 6v AGMs, all 100AH. Even if I run a 800watt inverter they stay nice and almost 13 all night.

I was looking at Napa batteries today, think they are made by Deka now? AGMs were a fair price although I hear the oddesys are better? At least I have fresh batteries for the winter.

On my little incident, wife unit thinks it could have been a diabetic issue. Yep, I am type 2 and do take insulin and may have had a slight crash.

Normally I am around 125, but test all the time under 100 in mid afternoon when this issue happened. Had oatmeal for breakfast after 8 hours of sleep.

Normally I don't test when up there, but that might change now. It was not fun.

JR, hope they find you good water so you won’t need a softener. If you do need to install a salt base softener plumb the rinse water to a dry well not the septic system. I tried the citrus filter one in Bullhead City, tore it out and went back to salt type.

As posted above, they got 75' the first day. Only drilled from 1300 to 1530 with all the setup.

They should be done this week easy. Trying to head up Weds (day trip), hoping they will be done and to get the perk test done.

Come to the realization that I need a flatbed more than a dump trailer (live and learn)

Looks like the dump is sold, got about 6 calls on it. Funny a ladt from NV is supposed to come get it.

I liked my Maxxd 22' but few around. PJs are around but the dumps QC is not what I call stellar.

Made the run up to the Ridge. Well is 380' and about 2gal a minute. Tomorrow will tell, want over 5 easy, prefer 10, will see.

Had about 10 emails on the Dump. Got full asking price with no issues.

Now looking for another flatbed. Some around, but not many (unless I lived back east) I have been looking for a Maxxd, like I had but thinking about a PJ or Big Tex too. Most are 3+ weeks out, but not a real hurry for now. Any feedback on the PJ or Tex? I was not impressed with QC on the PJ.

On the well, they are at 480'. They are going to line/cap it there, thinking it has around 10gpm.

Wow, 480 is shallow?  At my old place we had a well and I pulled the pump up a couple times to clean the foot, only about 60 feet down. But we are in slightly different climates.

Static well height at farm in Indiana was 45’.......

Big Tex, no frills solid trailers. Overloaded them regularly with steel and they held up as well as the pj or load max units.

I think they’re a great bang for the buck & were built in TX I believe so certain models came from the factory over max 102” width. Must hsve been a Texas thing.....
Living in the remote north hoping Ken doesn’t bring H up here any time soon…..

They had a little pocket around 180. My neighbor is 600, about 200 static. It is dry as heck up there now, good time to drill.

Got lots of gravel now to firm up the road. Sure water will help too. 6" casing is here, sure thats not cheap.

It really between, Big Tex, PJ and Maxxd. I can find a PJ here and there, BT is about 4 weeks out, but local and a fair price.

I am new to this too, so here it where it is. I was hoping for a 400' well but budgeted for 600'.

Well is 485' deep, sides started falling in after 400' and a small pocket of water. Around 2gpm then, want around 10, 5 is OK for my use with storage.

Casing (6") was pushed in to 485' then they used air pressure to push up just the ground water, filled a 5gal bucket in 8.5 seconds.

They ran out of gravel to secure the casing and still need to seal the top 30' with cement and cap. Hoping for static around 200' or less.

Now looking at solar pumps/systems since power will be a gen while I am there. Use the solar to fill the 2600g tank and work with that pressure for now.

So a big custom home burned last night about 1/2 mile from me. This was a 2 story A frame with a separate garage, just gourgous.
This guy was from Penn and is wife from Can left him after a DV. He had torn up the house good and was heard yelling all the time. Been up there checking on him with others.

Going to measure it hopefully tomorrow. Had to buy a 500' cord today.

Going on a small road trip for my trailer tonight.
