Was in Yosemite this weekend with the boys and scouts. Got there late Friday and setup, in the morning it started to snow. About 6-8 inches and it stayed nice and soft until we left early Sunday.

0* sleeping bag was OK after I got 3 layers on, no tents were cold weather hence the tarps.

New tires were great, rub in just one spot when turned just right (will address). Didn't even need 4x4. Saw a cool adventure RV.

Was kinda purty there if I must say!

I have been looking over these for a while now. Couple have batteries some have separate mounts and seem a little better ($$$)

I even got one last year with scope mount, but wouldn't work with the phone I had.

Can you add a piggyback battery to the phone? Always handy anyway.

Why not just a GM longblock if going that far? Has about all you are doing, just swap the intakes.

Agreeing with most here Don. Add on's will get you going more to your needs. Yes the 6.0 heads are often swapped for 5.3 as they flow better. Heck the 5.3 can do almost 400hp with mild tuning and exhaust.

Another thing is LS exhaust manifolds flow very well. Headers are cool but for your needs and longevity stay with cast. Hooker makes a nice set of coated cat that better than stock.

Do the exhaust, a new cat and throttle body (you have a manual throttle, right?). Headers will get that 25hp, but at 5000 rpm! Have it tuned, add a shift kit and tune the trans so it doesn't defuel as bad and shift.

If you build a motor, look for a 6.2 vs the 6.0. They were rated for around 350 stock and have bushed piston pins. May as well get aftermarket heads if you go that far.

I think 450+hp with good low end torque should be very easy. Plus it is with little to no down time. Even the rear OK for what you want unless you tow something crazy.

Cool a raise, Merry Christmas to me!

HoMeboy sights? At least they are night sights, but how would a holster work?? That is point and shoot range anyway.

Off to load the rig for 2 nights in the snow. This is tent camping to boot.

Sweet trailer.

Got a NTM camera today. Canon SX620. All the good stuff with a 25x optical zoom. Darn battery is doa though and leaving for Yosemite.

Weather has been acting up around here. So much rain they are flooding now where the fires were. Still almost missing with 88 soles lost.

With the Yosemite scout trip coming up I bought new tires for the Dmax. Still doing the SAS but I need to drive this and with 3 vehicles using the same lug pattern they will find a home for sure.

Kept the 2 good coopers for spares, rears had under 1/8 and no snow driving for those.

I gave Americas tire a budget (well a tire) but they would sell it to me as only rated "D", 3k per tire. So they found some Maxxis Razr MT for around the same price that we could get in time AND install today. 35/12.50-17. Starting out at 50f/45r psi and boy do they ride nice so far.

Also noticed a bolt gone from the radiator/intercooler when I was messing with fusses. Hard to notce but they were falling back into the fan, which would not have been a good outcome. One was still on the other side, so snugged it up and got another in with blue loctite this time.

On the power issue, there is none coming from the dist center plug, even pulled the entire block looking for bad wires. Now on a good note that tells me the kennedy pump will flow through if not running.

Did you corner the market on LEDs?

That glock needs night sights,,,,,,,,,,,

You going to add a drawer setup back there? Lots of secure storage and a long gun or 2.

So far I like the direction!

I bought a hammer drill from HF and have beat the crud out of it. It is the bauer SDS max 10.5 amp #63441. I have used it twice now for hours and it never let me down. The go for about $100 on sale, but no bits.

You can also use a small 1001 diode and forward bias the headlight relays in the fuse box.

All on mod on the other forums will give you the details.
Literally a few seconds to do the mod if you just stick the diode  in with the relay posts.

Sounds like a plan.

Changed the oil and fuel filters on the Dmax today. Found my lift pump is not lifting (no power) and all the fuses are good. I mean they are ALL good, inside and out!

Traced the power wire to the distribution center under the dash where I had installed a plug just to power things. The red wire is "ign on" power and worked fine, now nothing. It powered the water inj also so that is why that stopped too. The cut and the yellow wire were for the injection, just removed the splice.

So I am stumped as with no fuses being bad and everything otherwise working (sans dash lights). I could just wire it to another pin (green arrow) but would like to address the issue really.

Put a 1 way fuel valve in the suburban. Always hard to start with pump up top figuring the fuel is draining back. Quick fix until the lift and new filter goes in.

I really like the SS idea but have not pulled the plug yet. Had Vivint for a few years, but service was $$$. Live and learn,,,,,,,,,,,

I think a little about hacking with wireless cameras, but not sure if I should. With wired it is easy to add a camera and not pricey.

My buddy had a motorized trailer mover, worked great!

Now using that manual one with a winch might work.

I can get you a very gently used one for less than a 1/4 of that price....

I would jump on that!

I want to see how those work. I have tried a few LEDs and with the led being a SMD I have found less than stellar performance. However I did not go for the high end stuff either.

I think an led would be great with the correct housing.
