Ya, a good day

Went to church, 0900-1230

Lunch

Taught a self defense class

Rode the Triumph for a couple hours

Came home, ate a slice of cold pizza

Talked to an old Night Stalker buddy of mine who stopped by

Went for a ride on the DR650

Came home, drank some sweet tea

Good day...

Got the stairs all framed, cept the top which I need to do from upstairs. Now just to trim the roof out for it.

Bought a Kolbalt 10 inch folding table saw and a 10 inch compound slide chop saw. Tired of dragging the non folding table out and the 12 chop saw is just off a tad and wouldn't cut my 9 inch steps!

Still no duramax dash lights,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Yep. We have seen it or another like it once before at night walking up our driveway in front of garage. It went around the side of garage and back to the creek area in the forest.

This time is was broad daylight. First in the back and then a little later in the front of the house. It was standing on it's legs eating the bird seed out of the feeder. That was before the weight tore the feeder off of the tree.

I chased it off after it tore down the feeder.

That's a great analogy for welfare. You tear down the feeder and they move on to hunting for their own food.

Replacing the kitchen faucet and sink. Lots of water damage as the old sink leaked and the wife likes to leave puddles.

Started as just the faucet, lines were pinched shut from the pull out weight being pulled to far,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Yep, another late run to HD as the old drain just snapped off. 30 years old and was plastic!

Oil change comes later this year, moving it all over 12 feet.

Woke up at 5:15 to head back for my third from last year of teaching HS; time to piss off some libtards!  Sporting my new "One Nation Under God" t-shirt with a silhouette of Christ on the Cross over a montage of the Constitution and US flag.  Wondering how many won't understand how those three things are related?

Taking my dually to the detailer today for a complete front to back top to bottom inside and out detail. Been over a year since I've done that.  See Ken? There I go paying someone to get their hands dirty! :-)

Went golfing with my father and all his old high school buddies, (they still meet once a week at least, more like extended family). Got THUMPED on. Granted, this was my 2nd round in 3 years and they play every week, but I thought I should have put up a slightly better fight. Turns out my Dad and Wife were conspiring behind my back to get me this little surprise. maybe i'll actually make time to use them now.

Yeah, Dad meets me in the parking lot at Legion in Everett, starts yanking clubs out of my bag, "you don't need this one or this one or this one, oh you like the putter that's right, don't need this one..." then hustles over to his truck and starts loading up a full set of G irons, couple hybrid swollen thumbs 5&3, a G15 3 wood and 5 wood, and that G20 driver. I was flabbergasted. She'd been saving for months since Easter.

Woke up early & hung more insulation in garage along with vapor barrier & few more sheets of osb. Hoping to have that job knocked out in next week and half doing it a little here and there as I dislike Fiberglas insulation.....

Ran over to communist boulder (college town) & picked up an empty keg from some older hippy dude for $35. Keg will be used in upcoming build thread tba. So hippy dude has like a dozen raised flower beds made from what looks like pallet remnants. Had a lot of tomatoes & I'm having issues with my tomatoes getting bottom rot. Hippy dude knew how to fix it & sent me on my way with a pint jar of some calcium condensed mixture to fix that. Cool dude, super nice & wouldn't let me pay for the advice or the pint jar of liquid.

Other than that HH6 & I went to grocery store & Costco hell so now we're fixing home made pineapple & ham pizzas.......

Ken, I have been using the same detailer for 10 years and they are very good.  The lady that runs the crew is a slightly crazy white lady that makes me feel like a wannabe super model....I feel like I'm hearing, oh youre so average, one ear lower than the other, youre overweight, etc.

THats because she finds every little imperfection that you can't really see with the naked eye and never noticed.  you leave wanting to trade it in....

Tate, nice score there.  Someone loves you.

Dave, thats a big screen dontchaknow....

Well, today I committed to the preservation of my poor ole truck.

Another black kit, and one colour match.
I 'think' I'm doing doorline down colour matched.
Flares and below doors black.
And once I get into it...probably another kit of black or two...dunno.

I have an acreage down in the real world, that is up for sale, long unnecessary story about it, but it has a boat load of apple trees. So HH6 picked six Rubbermaids of apples while I cleaned up the yard.

Picked up a pressure canner, going to can some of them.
Rest are destined for hard and soft cider.
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

Finished the sink yesterday.

Remounted an old fence post into the existing hole (intact in cement) by running a piece of 2.25 muffler tube into it, then the pounded the fence post back to where it was.
Recycled oil, cans, saw Nines Lives with the boys (good) and washed the elky.

Was 99 so up went the shad, laid a little more sod, moved some pavers, and went swimming.

Boys have a friend over, now where watching Journey to Center of the Earth (newest) and the 90* pool is calling me with an adult beverage in hand,,,,,,,,,,,,

I assume you use a press for the cider.  We have a few trees and tried it a few years ago.  Hopefully e have time to do more this year.

I don't have a press...unfortunately.
Going to do a boil juicing.
Looked at a press at the wine and beer making place.
Couldn't justify the four hundred bucks they wanted.

That's what we did last time.  It was a lot of work for a few gallons of cider.  We have looked at some plans for a diy press online.  I am hoping to put something together.

My thoughts as well.
Some acme rod, thrust bearing, some oak bits, and some steel hoops.
Not really a lot to the press, but I can't buy it, and don't have time to make one this year.

Hauling trees from the storm. All day. I'm beat. Pick up stick go dump them pick up more sticks. Never ending. My daughter rode along and helped this afternoon so that was nice. A little bonding. Even though she did get pissy I told her I didn't want her "boyfriend" coming over and we were not going to the fair today.
