I get it licensed. They gave me the same plate as a car. I would have though it would be licensed like a pickup or a truck. I almost didn't get it done though. The head DMV lady walked by while we were doing paperwork. She said it cant be yellow. So they get the book out and it says it cant be "school bus yellow". Some quick thinking I asked what the title says for color. It just says yellow. Don't say school bus yellow. I say its been painted there is over spray on the black stripes. (There actually is I did not lie.) I say the past owner must have just painted it yellow to make it easier to hide the school bus yellow Because he had a Farm license on it. He couldn't do that if it were still school bus yellow. She agreed with me. Asked if the stop sign and flashing lights were removed. They are. OK then here's your plates.

Put them in slideouts along the side. Bet you have lots of room there.
Is adding a small hitch hauler to the front of the bus an option? like a 2inch receiver winch mount.

I thought about a front hitch. That is a good idea. On the other hand there is lots of room under the floor. I had a generator in a large tool box with vents on the freightliner. I think I can cut a square hole in the skirting and mount a similar box to the frame. I seen pictures of that on the schoolie forum. Its one of those things where I need a 6 pack of beer and stool. Just sit there and look it it and ponder.

We put one on a beer truck way back. Made a frame for the gen, put big ol drawer sliders on it and a piano hinge alone the top.

Man, this tapatalk crap is driving me nuts! You guys have no idea how hard it is working with these Small Orange people.

OK, somebody send or post a screenshot of what you're seeing so I can send it to the Indians so that they can ignore me again...

Frankly, I wouldn’t use Tapatalk but it’s so much easier than screwing with the picture upload here on the site that wants to post your picture rotated unless you screw around with it.

So much so that I’ve held off several updates on threads due to it.

So we have to pace the idiots. As they protest and create disobedience we have to respond with the same.  No escalation but pace them to call BS on their tactics.

Ordered two 36 inch double wall polyethylene culverts 20 ft long.  Going to pick them up tomorrow.  Also ordered 8 yards of 066 limestone delivered.

Going to finally start building a real crossing over the wet weather creek so I can get tractor and equipment to the back of the property.

Thanks Jon, I'll be able to sleep better tonight

Finished a little project, the new fence/retaining wall at the shop. Shouldn't flood again, hopefully. Still have a couple strands of barbed wire to add to one side but my arms need to heal from the previous strands.

The automotive work sure is keeping me busy. That fence should've been done months ago.

I wish I had the money they spent on that 10' wall, around roughly 11 acres. At least I benefit from some of it.

Over the past couple of days, replaced alternators in both odysseys(2005 & 2011), then replaced plugs and front pads in the 2011.   Then yesterday the power steering was acting up in the 2004 Chevy Express.  They just don’t build things to last anymore.  I mean, the 2011 Odyssey only has 288000 miles, the 2005 has a slightly more respectable 336000 and the Express only has about 515000.  It’s like they try to force you to buy new by making things fall apart.

Oh well, guess I’ll just live with the hand I’m dealt.

Mowed like most all day long. Probably mowed 20 acres down farmside...It's beautiful. I was coated with a 1/4 inch of yellow/brown dust. Showering was more like mud wrestling

Left at 0:430 yesterday to get these.

Love driving when the sun is coming up

Picked these two up. They’ll be installed just like they sit. Creek is 8-9 ft across and about 6-7 ft deep. It’s dry most times but when we get a really heavy rain the land to the west drains through there in addition to my land so it can get raging. These should handle most of it but if we get a bad tropical storm it may wash out a bit. They were not cheap but much cheaper than building a real rated bridge across.

Boss man is having a bad week so far. Yesterday he backed into one of the tractors with the manure spreader. Got the radiator, air cooler, oil cooler, hydraulic lines, fan and likely fan clutch. Along with the grill, hood and all support brackets.
Today he blew a tire on the way home from supper in town.

I should have put this in the prayers section but if you have a minute add him to your nightly prayer please.

Looking at a kit for the burb that uses twin calipers up front from a later model burb on the dana 60. Have to turn the hub a little and you get to mount the rotors on the outside!

That’s what I am doing with a Dana 60 axle for the ‘75 PowerWagon build. The axle is from a ‘91 1st Gen. 14.1 inch late model 3500 rotors will slide over rather than press in from behind the hub. Dual piston caliper. Great Lake Off-road (Shawn) is developing the caliper brackets. I’m pretty sure our axle ends are the same. I won’t need mine for a couple of months so Shawn has time to get his shop built.

Shawn said his are still out some, rather use him. Kit I am looking at uses all GM stuff and will fit smaller wheels (16?) even though I run 17s. Think the big 14 use dodge calipers?

So a guy that works for me has/had a model X Plaid Tesla ($140K) he bought new.

Was in an accident with a drunk driver last night.  Neither the seat belt tensioners nor the air bag went off.

Fractured sternum against the wheel and a concussion.

Not a good deal at all.

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

I took off the diamondback tonneau cover and put an ARE canopy on it.

Now I just need help figuring out some sort of tool, strap, hitch stuff storage so it's not in the way.

If your not going to haul big things all the time put e bedslide in there. 2hand they are very affordable. Yes you loose a few inches, but the convienence makes up for it.

I am rebuilding mine now as the wood is giving in after 16 years. On the edges I am using 3/16 x 3 angle with a hole for tie off every 8 inches.

Otherwise Etrack works good too.
