Thanks

AHHH, those D!%$!! bugs... skeeters...no see-ems, (Basically another skeeter), and did I mention, skeeters.

Yea I did a bone head thing up there once. Got back from flying north of Anchorage. took my flight suit off, pulled on some running shorts and took off (with no shirt) up this trail I saw when I was flying. So I get way out and the trail is narrow and I run right up on a small mountain, well, actually a moose! He just stands there and doesn't move, so I stop. The second I stop the carpet of skeeters that had been following me arrives. I let out a yell that caused the moose to startle. So I'm thinking this horse sized thing is going to stomp me and these skeeters are going to suck out all my blood while I'm unconscious! I ran back faster than I ran up!

Never went running outside again without a long sleeve shirt!

Yes the blessed skeeters. They're getting crazy.
Almost took the end of a finger off a week ago because of them.
Was finishing the roof on the sauna, and could not take the gazillion of them chewing my head.
Was too stunned to stop cutting, and in my quiver of pain took off no less than three layers of skin from the end of my finger. Finished the roof with a long sleeve fleece that they could not get through and a bug net hat. And it was waaaay too warm for the fleece.

At some point this summer I'll get a few pics of out little skeeters, and their bulldog relatives.
