The Hatmaker family just lost their dad. One of the boys is the quarterback of the Walton/Verona H.S. team my son plays for. Saturday night while at the game, I learned the quarterback's dad had been killed in a tragic motorcycle accident less than 24 hours earlier. The boy refused to recuse himself from the game and played all four quarters.
I was smitten hearing the game announcer telling us of the tragedy while I was looking at his son standing there, literally with his "Game face" on.

...and we just donated. I may have donated using my name and not "real-man" because I just don't know the proper procedure, but I will make an attempt to correct that.
