Winter home protection
« on: March 18, 2020, 09:08:43 PM »

My neighbor had a very nice 1964 Browning Superposed Lightning 12 ga. that her husband had owned .  I brought it home as she was looking for a good home for it and the price was right. Once I get back home I might take it to the  range just to see if I can still shoot trap. Don't have any experience with an O/U shotgun but this one feels right so I will give it a try. Full choke
upper, improved modified lower fixed chokes with 32 inch barrels.

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

That is something you don’t see everyday.  The craftsmanship is amazing.

Good purchase

Thank you Dave, it is a very nice looking shotgun even though it is the entry level model. The higher grades have gold inlay and much nicer figuring, both wood and script.

I feel dirty saying it.

Man that’s some nice wood. On the gun. The shotgun. Jeez. None make it better. Lol

But seriously nice looking piece.
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

Thanks for the good words guys. Yes it is a very nice piece and will fit right in with a couple other non shooters in the safe. I will try it out a few times but it does belong in the safe just to look at, not out being used.

i’ve always wanted one of those classic over unders from browning. they’re definitely a ‘pull out of the case, walk a knee high field with dogs for pheasant or quail and put back in the case’ kind of fun. beautiful.

i’ve fallen into the A5 collection of browning shotguns. and collection may be a stretch. but i have more than one. so it counts for me. hahah
