Yeah that would keep the cats skittish for sure. Dunno if I told this but it was worth the laugh. My neighbor who's a total crunchy liberal type who works at a college (still....yes STILL has a Bernie sign out ha....he's a glutton for punishment). Anyway....he has a cat that occasionally gets out when it's not supposed to and he has to search high and far for it (my attitude would be "hey... you ran out....I'll open the door when you come back but I'm not trying to coax you out of a tree in the middle of the night with treats"....sorry....dot'ing my own dot! Yeesh)....anyway....over their house a while back....he's holding the cat....patting it etc etc... I remembered something....I have a new predator app on my phone....so I said to myself "I wonder if this thing works" I pulled my phone out fired up the app and hit coyote call....oh yeah....it works...my neighbor was holding the cat up by his shoulders near his head and that cat went into full on panic mode in 0.0002 seconds....claws out climbing his face like a pine tree. He of course was panicked trying to hold the cat who was shredding his face. I just said "wow....this thing does work!" Hahaha. Damn that was funny. For some reason he didn't agree. No sense of humor on some people.....
That is funny. Better with video. Lol Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I would love to agree with you ^^^ but I think it actually starts at home. Why would you pay $$ to a college that try to teach that BS? I have had many conversations with my kids both in College and High School that if they ever hear any of this liberal stuff to let me know and also what to do themselves. As Don mentioned above... I came from very humble means as well... my kids know that and they have had a consistent example of what "White Privilege" is.... it is called the Privilege of long hours, the Privilege of holding down multiple jobs, the Privilege of minimal to eat, the Privilege of STAYCATIONS..(LOL), the Privilege of being honest and respectful, oh... and most important, the Privilege of HARD WORK... Then again... I didn't pick my parents very well either... they could have been Rockefeller's...

I'm ready for a NASCAR pit crew. Started to replace my mirror at 4:55. Done, tested, and buttoned up by 5:30. Much easier than I was expecting. Pics and it happened. I heard a Sawzall fixes everything. Naw Popped off plastic cover plates and removed 3 10mm bolts. Pry up the controls to access wiring bundle plug. Unbolt mirror. Fish wires through hole and bolt new one back in. Pop inside panel back on and bolt back in. Fineato! It evens works, lights up and I didn't tear anything up costing ,e more $$ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Oh and I broke my passenger side mirror pulling out of the garage the other dark cold morning so I have a new one of those on the way that I will have to swap out. Looks like you have to take off the whole honking door panel to re plug it back in... We will see.
Yeah, on the 01-02 Chevy trucks and probably older (I had an '02), the plug was right behind the little triangle trim panel. When they revamped the interior/electrical in '03ish, they moved the plug down behind the door panel. I'm not sure about the 07.5+ trucks, but I bet its the same. Pulling the door panel usually isn't too hard, getting it back on is the pain.
I don't think it will be bad. I did find an exact video online how to do it so I will tackle this weekend when it is supposed to be 42 degrees instead of minus 5 like this morning. I really need a big heated shop!!

Toyo Open Country 33x12.5R 18LT tires.
Update on tires after rotation on 2/1/17. Odometer at 99956. Tread on tires at 9.0mm Front and Back. 22,771 miles on the set as of right now.
I measured 8.5mm before so not sure what happened there. Poor tech skills I would assume. But not too much wear for 6457 miles. I have to say I am not very impressed with them on ice. My BFG's were much better. Even with these siped. As another has mentioned they still seem to wander more than others.
They should last me at least through the summer so we will see how much they wear from now on.

Well my red beast made it to 100K last night. I had the 100K service done as well as catching up with other maintenance. I know... lazy..= $$ but they come to my office pick it up, do the service and bring it back.. all I have to do is give them a credit card.. Oh yeah.. and they pried off one of my center caps on my wheel instead of unbolting it. They were going to fix that today... so we will see how they fix plastic! LOL don't have my hopes up too high. Oh and I broke my passenger side mirror pulling out of the garage the other dark cold morning so I have a new one of those on the way that I will have to swap out. Honestly I haven't removed any. I would assume you can cut it off. It hardens to a flexible putty that is not sticky. But it does stick to what it attached to prior to set up.

I have the same problem with charger cables in my house. All of my long ones seem to disappear with my kids. I have used SUGRU for a long time and it works great. You open the foil pack and expose to air and you can form it for whatever you want. I have used it also to fix my case and handle on my battery charger and other items. Cheap too.. right up my alley. The only down side is once you open the foil pack you have to use all. You can't save after it hit the air. It also doesn't store forever also. https://sugru.com/buy/?gclid=Cj0KEQiAzsvEBRDEluzk96e4rqABEiQAezEOoKRXw4tA2gx9RSkIORB4focj50PoSccDiUvionOy1wMaAr-C8P8HAQ

Fines on the spot, hmmm. Go to jail though for not paying it, something is not right there.
Well it was the early 80's. No Credit Card. Out of state Colorado plates... young knucklehead... but they did let me pay in cash at the jail and let me go so who knows... The only other time I was pulled over they did a road side sobriety test and I failed. But when they took me in and blew into the machine at the station I passed... so they let me go. What was weird I still had to appear before the local attorney but because I passed they dropped the DUI.

I have always deserved what I received from the police. Both good and bad. I normally get a ticket if I am speeding but like my Dad used to say.. " if you dance you got to pay the fiddler". So I am polite and they hand me a ticket and we are fine.
The only time I was frustrated was back in the 80's and it was 2:30am on a weeknight and had just moved up to Wisconsin. I worked that morning at 5:30am and was caught doing 70 in a 55mph. The ticket right at the roadside was around $55... I only had $50 or so. I asked him to drop it down so I could pay and he said no. He said you can call someone and have them bring you $5. I said I was new to my job and didn't know anyone and didn't want to get my boss up at 2:30am. He said no. I asked him to hold my $2K watch and I would bring him the money when I got off work. He said no... He said if you can't pay I will have to take you to jail. Fairly annoyed at this point I said ok Barney... put your bullet in and lets go to jail. So I followed him back into town to the jail... (I was on fumes and hoping I didn't run out of gas). They took my belt and shoes etc... I was allowed one call and I called the girl that I was just leaving and asked her to bring me some money when she went into work... Slammed the jail door and tried to get a little sleep but some yokel next to me was drunk and causing a fit. The guard said welcome to the big house... LOL.. EauClaire WI.. the big house.. cracked me up. Anyway.. I got powdered scrambled eggs for breakfast and the girl brought the money about 8am... got out got gas and headed to work not in freshest of manners... from then on I always had at least a couple of hundred dollars on me so I could pay the "fine"...
So other than the Barney I have been treated very well.

Well I have been lurking on gunbroker dot com website for many months and since I want to be like Don when I grow up I was looking for a cheaper Sig716 than new. Never have bought a gun online before but hey mainstream media says I can just buy one no background checks or nuttin why not? So I found one no reserve and free shipping so I put in a bid of $1499.99 and it one. A place up in Utah. Paid by PayPal via credit card. Easy Peasy. So not knowing what to do I look up an FFL on a website locator page and found a couple close. One was out of business gunsmith. One was the indoor range I go to. I called him and he said I would have to be a "member" for them to do a transfer. Being what a pain it is and all. I said ok. Then third on the list was my small little town hardware store. I called them and sure. Just give the seller the number and they will exchange info. A couple of days later I get a tracking number. It was during the holidays so I wasn't expecting fast but in a few days it was at the hardware store. I called them and let my number to let me know when to come in and pick up. Couple days go by no call. So after another day I just go in. Super nice guy just really busy. It is leaning up against the wall near the break room with my name and number on it. Fill out the paperwork. Apparently a CCW does t matter. He calls in background check. After 30 minutes I ask what I own him. He says $20 which I give to the cashier at the front and off I went. It really is easy to buy guns over the internet. Lol. As long as your not in a big hurry. Also ordered 460 rounds from WI and have them as well. Now just need to shoot. Pics or didn't happen. good points. believe it or not my mrs. stewie hates how the government draws everything down the lines of sex and race. she does not play identity politics one bit
This wasn't about identify politics, it was about her right to vote. Without the 19th Amendment she wouldn't be able to.
But then again... she might not need, want, or actually vote... cool for her... but maybe not for other females.
But now that you got me thinking... maybe that was when all of this went off the rails... Hmmmm

Call it by it's proper name... educationRoot basis of conduct for the United States of America = Constitution and the Bill of Rights with later Amendments http://www.ushistory.org/documents/amendments.htmStewie, Ask your wife if she supports the 19th Amendment. LOL Also key to most modern conversations is: in·fringe·ment inˈfrinjmənt/ noun noun: infringement; plural noun: infringements 1. the action of breaking the terms of a law, agreement, etc.; violation. "copyright infringement" 2. the action of limiting or undermining something. "the infringement of the right to privacy" If you have a right and someone, anyone, or government infringes on that right, there is a problem. Next one would be: in·cre·men·tal·ism ˌiNGkrəˈmen(t)lˌizəm/ noun noun: incrementalism belief in or advocacy of change by degrees; gradualism. This is what has happened over the past 100 to 1000 years depending on your perspective. Example: When I was young I use to be able to have a gun in my gun rack in the back of my pickup and drive it to High School... no harm no foul. Now you would get thrown out of school and called all sorts of names. Was it the inanimate gun that changed over 40 years or the degradation of society.... Hmmm me thinks the later. As far as gun owners on this site... can I see a show of hands.... yep most if not all of them... And as far as semi auto confiscation... look no further than Washington State right now.. not tin foil hat stuff... actual laws proposed.. HR2354. Here you go... http://lawfilesext.leg.wa.gov/biennium/2015-16/Pdf/Bills/House%20Bills/2354.pdfFeel free to thumb down to page 5 row 25 where is defines "Assault" weapon. See anything on there that some on this site might own... Yep.. pretty much everything. So it isn't all Obama... but plenty on the libtardian left that would be more than happy to infringe on any and all rights they don't agree with. Oh and by the way.. None of the Rights or Amendments have a higher value than the other. They are all EQUAL in there standing. So if you believe in one... like freedom of speech.. then you must value all. Or not..

what ECM's? My old Pete's will be running long after trucks with ECM's quit... based on the less than a 100k on most of them atm.
Plus I farm...special rules LoL
I really am all for better enforcement and such... that said, just tonight I sat next to a semi with bald super singles on it. So yah.... nat carrier BTW not a local.
Hmmm what's an ECM... I saw the picture of that sweet Mustang.. and I do agree, your non ECM Pete will outlast all of our current 2017 Pete's with heavy regulated DEF fluid drinking, high cost to maintain, POS's... but hey... Global Warming... Save the Planet... Yay... This morning driving in I heard George Carlin. https://youtu.be/7W33HRc1A6cAs an industry there are still many areas of improvement possibly. Law and DOT enforcement has really pivoted from Scales and checks to pop up roadside inspections. They are cheaper and are probably more effective. FARM ON!!

Changing from the state issued combination/commercial endorsement to the federal CDL really helped thin out drivers that had problems driving or following the laws.
I know the trucking industry pays lots of dollars in fuel taxes etc. but the roads still get beat up and it takes forever to get them rebuilt. Yes the monies paid are siphoned off for other things too, but the damaged roads are still there for the traveling public to try and drive across. Water (frozen or liquid), weight, and repetitions are the real enemies of the road systems in my opinion. Tire size vs weight carrying ability, and bridge laws are a complete nother subject. I am not an engineer, I just helped build and maintain the roads. Years ago a pup trailer behind the dump truck had two axles, now the length of the frame seams to dictate how many axles they can stick under them and then add a couple drop axles under the truck as well. Heavy trucks moving cargo Containers, and others too, have added drop axles. Heck even some of the smaller box trucks have them. The concrete trucks have added tag axles and super size front tires so they can carry more weight. I have never studied or run experiments on weight vs road damage, I just watched the roads go to heck when the feds raised the weight limits.
Bob, No doubt that use equals need for maintenance. I also agree that water, and weight are the primary culprits for road degradation. I also think that road design has improved over the years to minimize maintenance required or extend life cycle of roadbed. If you google diversion of highway transportation funds there are a ton of articles and studies on how since 1956 money collected specifically for interstate road development and maintenance has been slowly diverted away to sidewalks, green spaces, metro transit, office spaces, etc... There are also companies out there but do nothing more than try to determine what the cost of a single 80,000lb truck going over a specific piece of road costs. Many variables. Most weight laws are determined by bridge specifications. It is the lowest common denominator for vehicle weight. If you can run over a bridge safely you should be able to run over a concrete / asphalt interstate highway. So at the end of the day Interstate freeways were always over built compared to bridges. They have just had the money to maintain and improved diverted. Also each state sets it's own rules. I can remember back in the late 80's when you had Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, and Louisiana all had a much lower Gross Vehicle Weight from the standard 80,000lbs so you could go coast to coast or you had to purchase "overweight" permits to pass through. Pretty good revenue stream for many years until the Feds pushed to standardize on 80K. Our company is probably one of your nemesis's. Very Heavy Haul. We currently have a dual lane trailer that has 24 axles that can handle up to 360,000 pound load that can spread it's axles out to cover two lanes of traffic. We recently had a load that was 190 feet long, 14'6" wide and 248,941 pounds. It moved less than 1000 miles and only through three states. We paid just in permits $2000.00 and $3410.00 in escorts. We also paid for state patrol, sheriff, city police, and many more for traffic control. We also pay each state and have to submit CAD drawings of each turn and get them approved by state, county, city, dog catcher... etc.. I'm not sure if you got a drivers license lately but you can probably appreciate the man power required to coordinate and purchase all of these things in a timely fashion working for State and County departments. Especially Illinois! LOL The hard thing to contemplate is did we damage the roads or bridges by $XXXXXXX (insert quantifiable amount here) for that one load? probably less that 1/10th of 1% of the $ paid out. But still hard to tell.
