Love me some shotgun but never thought about bayonet I'm very (VERY) invested in the 870 platform.  I wonder if there is a bayonet mount for the 870

Me either, I thought it was an interesting concept & made a lot of sense. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to fab a mount up......

Little bit of the slash and thrust, with some parry left and rights, followed by a series of horizontal and vertical buttstrokes

Good article. Mossberg 590 is a great little scatter gun. I've had one for years, with the bayonet lug, and carried one daily in Iraq.
