I picked up three more of them screens from the pit tonight, rebar to make stakes out of and did that this eve

The portaband made short work of the bar, the torch handled my heat and a pair of channel locks to bend em.

Don’t mind my wood welding bench and “cute” little vice

Seems legit based on everything we see go on around here.
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

Oh yeah,

Happy Birthday Chief!
Thank you
It was the 19th, but I'll take it! ;-)

I mentioned we would reach 100 days of prayer on my birthday, which we did, but I miscounted somehow and ended up two days behind on the 100 days of prayer counter.
Dunno...

Yeah. 210 and pretty ripped for my age pre Covid.  Now siting at 235 and trying to get back to 210.

It that’s better than my 248 post Covid high.

Just thought, my 20 is in June,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

When I was in the academy (91) I was 215, held mids 2's until I retired, never been under 200 since 18.

Just found I get to repair the garage opener again, just did last week. Funny it never breaks when I'm home, but was told it was my fault,,,,,,,,,?

Think Don and I have the "older than dirt" phrase locked up.

Dave, that would leave a mark no matter what it may hit.

I ain’t as good as I once was but I’m as good once as I ever was….

And yet Ken , being older than 1911s  I’m still smart enough to evolve with the times, leave those on a display shelf and carry a Glock..

Sorry Glock doesn't have a natural point of aim for me so I don't like them and so I won't buy them. 1911, springfield XD, Smith M&P all do so that is what I buy. Good thing about being on an adult forum. Because of my statement I don't think anyone will go cry in their safe place

Lol.  It’s all good.  We love giving people grief.  I get asked for advice a lot by business people and even some liberals who are seeing the light.

The advice is always the same.  Get what feels good in your hand and works for you and then stick with it and practice practice practice practice practice.  Don’t mix carry weapons.  Carry what you train with.

I like a nice 1911 (don’t tell Ken). But I would never carry one. Under duress in condition black I would fail to sweep the safety and get shot by some Biden Harris supporting thug.

I learned on glocks , trained for thousands of hours on them so its really the only thing I know well.  My Sigs, M&Ps 1911s and revolvers are just nice to have.

As much as I agree with Tex, I carry mixed, but it vaires little. 90% I have my MP shield.

All are 40's, but I sure like the XDS(45) and glocks (23-22), they just "feel right".

Still just haven't got into the 9mm thing. Fun to shoot and more cost effective. Sure they say they "hit" as good now, but tech changes for all rounds, not just 9mm. Seen to many 9mm just make holes, other rounds no.

My 1911 Commander and 22 really stay at home. I do not like safetys at all.

That looks fun Shawn…good luck and git ‘er dun!

HH6 got the vid last weekend or so. Positive Monday or Tuesday.
Wiped out and basically in bed till today.
She is coming to the cabin today finally.
I’ve been holed up here trying to avoid the time off work.

I’ve been fine and still feel fine but I have it now too.
Had a bit of a night sweat last night and a touch of congestion.
Just figured it was my springtime allergies.
Funny how it hits everyone so differently.
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

For some reason I thought you meant in crawl space or ceiling in the basement, looks clean.

Can't tell you how many "heavy" loads I did that way. It was cool this week that they took a huge cardboard box I had filled with paper waste sitting next to the blue container. Even done a few tires by cutting up.

I have been sick since Monday!
And not COVID, just a nasty cold
Zero energy, headache, sore throat, congested, nose/eyes runny
Did I mention no energy?
6 days now.
Pre-Ranger has had it since the preceding Wednesday. Poor kid caught it on a sponsored striper fishing trip in Tennessee. That makes 11 days now!!!!!!

It’s likely, no will be a different one.
But weve got the vid, a nasty stomachs flu and the flu (10-12 day one) floating here.
Wife was tired for about 5-6 days before positive for vid.
I didn’t even know I was sick. Lol.

Feel better all!

Fixed a leak in the laundry room water line today. It’s something that has been an issue for a while, but I kept hoping to put it off until we rebuild the entire laundry room. No such luck, it started getting a little worse and it needed to be done. I don’t really know what they were thinking when they put this in, if they were thinking, but it is much better now and no leaks.

Here is the cabinet favor I did today

Buddy called and asked if I could help his sister.
She got the cabinets from the shelf stock at home depot.   They don’t offer much as far as custom stuff but it fit the bill.   I made the best I could of what the store sold her.   We flipped the whole plan set and made the fridge useable. The oven was all blocked and most of the tall cabinets wouldn’t have fit.

We did some plumbing after the brittle dishwasher valve broke, then the main shut off valve to the trailer broke turning off the water and caused a constant stream of water out of it.

All fixed up now!

Oh and this super strong cold thing...Last night I could barely see anything! Your eyes secrete some thick pasty stuff that coats the eyeball, and eyelashes, and fingers, and the dogs won't even go near it.

I was up and wandering from yet another nearly sleepless night and I kept running into things. Flipped on the light and freaked out! I could not identify the fingers on my hand!

This morning the Pre-Ranger came in complaining that he had difficulty seeing anything last night!

So I'm in day 8 and I want to say, a little better.
Gonna push it and try to pressure wash the deck today...

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

Installed the wife’s mother day and birthday present today, Sonos sound system in the main house and on the deck

I put two 6” in the kitchen, two still to go in our master bed and bathroom and two 8” speakers on the deck

All accessible on her phone any music service, no Amazon junk!

Hope you’re planning to put a good quality surge protector on there rather than that triple tap…

Nice work guys, I have the eye thing for weeks. Clog up really bad at night.

Still chugging on the lift, but on the homerun stretch.

Yes,  I didn’t plan on these being in this cabinet, there was some confusion in how I presided for the speakers, ended up having to run some different ideas.  I guess for some reason I  ran all my speaker wire to my tv for a receiver I guess?   Anyway I ran an old school volume control 16/4 out to each room then from VC I ran the 14/2 to the rooms ceiling speaker locations

It works.   But my home run area has a nice surge protector,  just don’t have another.

Yes.  But I usually put a separate surge protector on big ticket items too.

Spent the past 3 days at woodbage. It's leader traing for Boy Scouts. Pretty intense I have 2 more days in a few weeks. I really learned a lot and made some new friends. To pass the course I gave to make and achieve 5 goals in the troop with an 18 month deadline. I got 2 approved by council with 3 to go.
