What Red stated above, also if you're looking at glocks look to the used market. I have had the chance to buy several glocks in .45 over the years for a very reasonable price. I always begged off as I don't need another round really. But I've watched guys buy them and sour on them for one reason or another, nothing to do with function though. No offense to you TRN, just stating my experience.....

Ammo part kicks in July next year, same for the mag law. Background for all ammo sales, no buying by mail, can't bring more than 50rnds from another state when traveling.

Have to register "ghost guns" withing 3 years if I read right. (only have 1  ::))

Any center fire with a mag is now an "assault weapon" Not sure about my M1 Carbine as no pistol grip.

Like all the thugs will follow the law. And I am sure all law abiding citizens will follow them,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Works great in Chicago!

So I'm guessing "ghost gun" equates to home built or old enough it doesn't have paperwork?

My next question is what are you hearing locally? I mean have you guys had enough yet to tell them to go fly a kite, kinda like ny & ct?

Hoping the republicans will help you guys out with real legislation with teeth but not holding my breath either. Colorado could use some help in that respect.

Didn't Cali pass some law about buying ammo too? Can't buy it online anymore & you have to get back ground check to purchase?

7904
Well, I take my golden retrievers turds and place them around trees or in shrubs where she tends to dig. It stops her from digging there & I swear she gives me a look similiar to what I probably wear when I see a couple light in the loafers together. I swear it's shear disgust on her face.....

I have one of those stories too where there are some tears shed over a gun passing from one generation to the next. Thinking maybe there should be a thread about guns handed down........

Well, I think you may be slightly disappointed w/ the "intelligence" of the sheep, but I think they're a little smarter than chickens.

This^^^

I think it's a dead heat between retarded and really freaking stupid either way. Ha

Well from some one who was raised around several hundred head of sheep & having chickens myself I think you are correct......

7910
Had another thought, maybe you have really liberals birds and they just feel warm, fuzzy and safe at you place? I think that's the angle Don was shooting for with the pink theme..... ;D

Oh & welcome to DOT nation (in case your wondering DOT stands for derailer of threads)

7911
ok so it looks like my very important thread has been ruined.  :(

i'm frankly at a loss here - the hens have been in the coop for almost a week tomorrow and they still havent figured out to go into the hen house. i have to chase them down each evening as put them into the hen house. it's driving me and my wife insane. this is further keeping us from letting them free range.

it seems even the chickens may have gotten contagious mental problems from a few of our dogs.

Ours always went in at dusk, just what they did....

7912
Boy the love is thick in here this morning I can smell it in the air. Then again maybe that smell is Kens gf H lurking around..... ;D

My bet would be Shawn is talking more than just a little bleach mixed with water.
Shawn, Are ya?

I'll get to the bottom of this!

It's definitely nasty stuff, I'd be using more than dawn and a little bleach myself. I understand it's just for showers and toilets but a little work now is better than headache later imo.

Just for an idea we had about a 95 gallon reservoir on our one vertical cnc mill & we would add a gallon of bleach every 3-4 weeks just to keep bacteria growth down in the summer.

7917
Never thought of that.....

Hey Don, buy some free range chickens & I hear they'll make that hide site way mo manly! Seriously Stewie ain't got no stinkin pink foo foo crap going on down there.......

7918
We had a coop/run they went into at night or days we just didn't get them out in the tractor.

On another note, Don I'm confused as I don't see any of that pink styrofoam board taped up anywhere in these pics Stewie is posting. Also seeing a huge lack of carnage of equipment? ;D

7919
Two of them were pretty clean, having a small amount of fluid in the bottom. The third tank had been used to catch some cutting fluid and machining residue from some metal processing. The bottom looked awful at first. I picked up this tank for a song, and am keeping it for a possible fuel tank to store off road diesel for the tractors and loader.

After cleaning them with hot soapy water and dawn dish washing detergent and using my pressure washer, I could not tell anything had ever been in there. Actually, now I am not 100% sure which tank had the shavings in it. What that mess was was machining lubricant, water based, and the metal filings, nothing else.

Machining coolant is basically animal fat, bacteria likes to grow in it. I suggest scrubbing the internals with some bleach. I can tell you about some aweful skin rashes it can cause & my guys soaking in bleach baths at night to kill the death itch they would get in the summer. You've been warned.....

7920
Gotcha on the free range area...I thought they would be penned up in that area of the coop wire. That makes more sense.

Geese are definitely good watchdogs but I hate them. Had a great watchdog version of one when I was a kid. He ended up in the pot. Was a total pita.

TRN you can make nests with slanted wire floors where the eggs will roll out behind the nests into a spot they can't get to so they don't eat them. I agree that in your heat leaving them too long would be iffy. But would make a good kids job to collect them daily.

They will clear land really well but also will invite a ton of critters (hawks, coyotes etc) to come get them for a meal if they are totally free ranging so you have to be careful. The chicken "tractors" can do that well where you move them to a new spot, they clear it, then move it to another spot and the clearing continues.

We had a chicken tractor made from an old dog kennel/run, anchored it to a 4x4 base (with each end of said 4x4 length angled to slide over the ground) then had a chain at one end to sling over ball on atv hitch to move daily. Threw fence wire panel on top along with chicken wire & that cross sectioned slat material they use around decks for shade. Worked really well for several years.

"I'll try" on that review..... still need to finish the g43 review.... :(

Make it a double review at then. Load the bag up for a range trip, and utilize the G43 at the range. Then you can complete two, yes 2, reviews in one.

I no longer have physical custody of the G43, momma adores that piece..... ;D

185 bucks for a bag with a handle? Buddy, you need to lay off of the green-leafed cigarettes!!!

Yeah, it's pricey which is why the wife bought it for me. I would still be using my old bag. The $185 was just the base bag too not including the accessories I just bought for interior so add another $75 then all the equipment that goes in it.

However, with all that said if it lasts as long as my range bag has (going on 22 years now) the per year cost is pretty affordable. Another way to look at it is how much do you pay for a good holster? I've spent a bill on a custom leather job before for one model gun. So it kinda depends on your perspective, green leaf cigs or not.....

On a similar note that I know YOU can relate to Ken, the big H donors are wanting an accounting of her campaign expenses I read.  ;)

Bobby, for what it's worth "I'll try" on that review..... still need to finish the g43 review.... :(

Also my go to for years in the winter was my sheep lined carhart vest with inner pockets, held my j frame smith stub nose & it never printed. Summer was an ankle holster for same piece in a gun free facility no less.

OK, so I've been like a kid at Christmas waiting to open this box and introduce you guys to this product ( ever since I picked it up at my office PO box several weeks ago :) lol ). Hard not to notice a big box with Vertx on the side of it.......

http://api.justinfr.com/data/default/images/catalog/1000/Turnkey/1/VTX5010BK-FRONT-WEB-609.png

Several months back I was visiting the cabelas bargain cave and wandering past the gun counter. As I did I ran into this guy who had a couple of these cool looking back packs. Apparently he was waiting for management to do an overview of the new product line. Cabelas just started carying them online at the time. He was an outside regional sales rep for Vertx.

Super friendly and hit me up as I was looking at the pistols to ask if I conceal carried. I responded that I did and the wife and kids were always making fun of my man purse. My old one was a small carry on flight bag that I used for my ipad etc when traveling. It pulled double duty in the jeep when at home with my G22. It worked but wasn't really designed for this role. So he throws me the EDC bag  http://vertx.com/edc-commuter-bag and fits it to my large 6'2" frame then starts to explain all the functions this bag has built into it. I could go into way more details but in essence this bag was designed for and by operators working discreetly overseas. They've been working and reworking the design for several years now. Best part is living here in hippy land I will fit right in with this bag without looking homeless. I already reached out to Craig at 144:1.com for a couple of patches. I also placed an order this morning with Vertx for the accessory internal holsters etc, note if you sign up to their email you get a 20% off initial order coupon. So excited as I can now carry my tricked out G35

I highly suggest you guys watch the video, one part it doesn't mention is that the area for the "laptop" can be used to hold body armor. So when you flip the pack around front side to pull your gun in essence you now have front armor while engaging said dirt bag.

7936
Okay... so yesterday my blood went to full boil when I saw this story....but we have even more info now and more reason to despise this BLEEP (Doing my best here not to say what I REALLY want to and keep this a family friendly forum...but it's trying with something like this).

So here's what we know.....

Ivanka and her husband and kids (along with a bunch of cousins) were on a Jet Blue flight out of JFK in NY.

Some angry gay couple who still have their panties in a bunch about the election saw them and the "man" in the relationship (????) decides that he should take it upon himself to harass her. And he does it holding a child in his arms.

God would have to be very very patient with me if I was on that plane. I am guessing I would be in cuffs and probably have been charged with a hate crime against a "protected class" if I witnessed this.

That this BLEEP'S "wife" tweeted out that "hubby" saw them and was going to harass her and then deleted it shows the courage of their convictions.

Why the left thinks this BS is acceptable is beyond me.

I really wish the NY version of child services would investigate these "parents".

I get that snowflakes are all feeling butt hurt but get over it and leave Trump's family out of this. Can you imagine if this had been a conservative going after Chelsea's Clinton or one of Obama's kids? That person would be thrown under the jail. Gawd this BLEEP BLEEPS me off!!

Here's the story if anyone missed it:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4059082/Ivanka-Trump-aggressively-confronted-man-JetBlue-sitting-children-screams-father-ruining-country-asks-flight.html

For the record, if you witness anything harmful to a child you can always call child protective services. With that said there are instances where I might forgo calling and deal with it immediately however cps is a great alternative in the gray areas. One of which comes to recent memory is a young couple pan handling on a street corner (middle is summer in the sun & heat) with an infant.

Negative, even running on the coast side of the gear the 14 bolt is still stronger than the d-60 as it has the extra pinion support bearing. The 60 under heavy load will allow the pinion to walk the ring gear.

unsure of the HO72. guess i have some reading to do tonight. hahah

Precursor to what everyone knows as a 14 bolt, had drop out third like a 9" and more ground clearance than the 14 bolt. Standard 14 bolt disc kit bolts up to axle tube end flanges, can't recall specifics on internals though but seem to think shafts were all originally course spline & believe the 14 bolt ring and pinions etc swap over.
