Title: Renewal fees, your call
Post by: Flyin6 on February 28, 2024, 11:58:27 AM
Gentlemen.
Last year I discussed the cost of this site going forward.
We get charged annually for being hosted by A Small Orange.

This year the cost to Renew is $963 + $33 or $996

You all get to decide if the site continues. Anyone who feels led to donate to keep us alive may do so using the donation tab or Venmo or PayPal. I will collect funds like I have in the past. If we make it to the $996, then Real Man continues. If we fail to reach the minimum threshold, then I will simply return the money you donated and at some point, afterward, A small Orange will simply turn off the site.

So, there it is. And this is really sort of a test. You see I have been praying during these 100 days of prayer for the Lord to use this place for his work, and if this site was not about furthering the kingdom of heaven in some way, God would destroy it.

I am interested to see if we really are serving Heaven or just ourselves. I feel that we try to do a good thing here, but I could be wrong. We will soon find out.

Blessings,

Don

This happened last year

Those people at A Small Orange held us up for Ransome if you recall. They froze the site because I was in arrears like I will be tomorrow, and they made me pay everything with interest and penalties to unlock the site.

A friend of mine was trying to get everything copied but he never did, and on his behalf, I would say it is unfair to ask people to spend a lot of time helping us and not be paid for it.

So, I can only guess that since they and I do not have good blood or history between us, I would bet they move quickly.

Having said that, it is only a best guess on my part and may not be true at all, dunno...

...And I just got hit with the second charge. The Clementine service is a watchdog service that keeps most of the hackers and scammers at bay. Without it, we would be covered up with nasty crap in about two hours.

Anyway, that renewal in addition to the $963 is $155.

So, we will need to raise $1,118.

One generous member donated $100, so I have $1,018 remaining to raise. I will chip in $100 myself, so I need $918 to keep the doors open.

Update: Folks are contributing. It looks like we are on course for salvation!

Dunno, but it is trending in the right direction.

Thank you, Lord!

We just got another $118. Thanks, sir!

Looks like a balance of $550

Keep a look at the Donations sheet to see how much we have accumulated thus far.

We received a large today, $575, which put us over the top.

Thank you to those who provided the funds for this year's renewal.

Now that we own another year of operations, let's do something with it!

First one down.

I am inquiring about the additional "Premium service." I am wondering why we are being invoiced for both the Clementine and the premium services. I'll let you all know.
And I will renew our domain.
