It did come in handy one time out on the back dirt roads when I "pretended" to run out of gas with the GF along.. She thought we were stranded out in the middle of no where. LOL not too happy when I flipped the switch and fired it up. The old reliable 350.

There was a local "haunted" bridge that went over a railroad tracks. Rumor was that if you shut your car off while parked on it then it wouldn't start back up.

In reality the rumor was just that & it was on a desolate back road and kids would park on it and well you get the idea. I had a late 80's Camaro with the 5spd in it and the clutch. As with most manuals if you didn't have the clutch pushed in it wouldn't turn over. Fun memories of tricking a 110# half naked blonde girl into trying to push start my Camaro......
I turned off a tank in the mountains once. Had 2 girls with me,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Been there, done that, in both geographic areas! LOL

I’m kind of using this as a primer base and blue coverer in the hard to reach cracks and crevices. Also used it to even out/darken the body filler and what not. I picked up a case of it at a discount store for $10 and I’ve always liked rustoleum stuff.

I like rustoleum too, Jeep parts always get it and if they get nicked or beat up we just add more! :likebutton:

I was going to re-cover the old bench seat. But I picked up this 60/40 on the cheap at a swap meet. It already has tracks for the square body, so it’s just a matter of punching some new holes.

Insulation and rubber flooring

Black seatbelts were on sale. Maybe a mistake? We will see.

New Dash, door panels and grille. Some are budget “rock auto” parts, some LMC. The interior parts are a combination of red red and darker red red... I hope it will flow with the two tone red seat.

It might be the paint fumes but unfortunately I’m falling in love with this truck again. Its going to be bittersweet handing it off to the boy for sure. I hope he treats it right and appreciates it like I did. This ol girl has a lot of history in it!

Blaine, I have a feeling you raised your boy well enough that he'll appreciate it and take care of it.  You set a good example.
Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

Please detail out your raptor liner process. I would like to spray my hood, bed cover and rocker areas with it but am absolutely terrified of A. Overspray on my surrounding homes B. The prep to make that stuff really stick to my paint. C. Tint mixture to as closely as possible match my white.   Pictures are awesome of the square body!!

I think I would make the argument that those generation seats of GM and Chevy were the most comfortable of all GM seats.  Oh the..... memories...... yeah memories of that bench seat
