Not what I did today but I am glad this isn't my problem, 2002 cummins 70k on the odometer maybe.  Outside looks great.

This not so much

I heard a snot nosed lib chick talk about how people necessarily had to die for any revolution as she walked down the street in San Fran. Probably just came from Starbucks and lives in mommys basement. Like she's have any clue what to do when the real unrest breaks out.

Not unlike the other one in NY that said I'm scared. Scared trump is going to take away Obama care and that's how I get to stay on my parents insurance until I'm 26. What if I graduate before 26?  How will I get my free birth control.

I'll by her birth control just to keep her from procreating.

Go get it Bobby! I predict you'll eat the whole pizza!

Well the bar that is one of the sponsors threw down some free beer and pizza afterwards. So I had 4 squares of sausage pizza and 2 pepsis.

What time bobby?   Your clock is broken

Slept past normal dark wake up and woke up at a later dark time...  ;D

Nice!

I enjoyed the extra sleep.

Get some and good luck bobby!

I enjoyed the walk. Hung out with some old Army buddies.

Grunts...Scheezeee... ;-)

It's ok to be jealous. lol

Was in the color party at our service today.
Was a good one this year, really good turnout too.

I have a conundrum however. Went out and tried my new 9mm ammo.
One after another FTF, FTE, was rather unhappy.
Went home and busted a few down. My powder throw fell short at some point in the thousand rounds. Was a solid 5.0 for a long time so I stopped checking. At the top of he can, the last loaded, 4.8 x5, 4.7 X1...
Not sure how I want to proceed. Will shortening the OAL help? Anybody know?
I really don't want to repair 900 odd rounds, nor single shot them.

Given the ammo difficulties, my favourite bad guy sure got punished. Only 10 meters, but a solid 40 rounds.

Also, thanks to all our brothers in arms, past and present.

You can mix them in with your known good rounds for practice. Put 10 in a 150 and then you can practice malfunction drills while shooting and moving.

That's definitely better than pure stoppage drills. Lol.
I'll have to see if they work for someone else.
Too light for the Glock. In the areas guys said would not cycle.
Had good luck at 4.9 grains and no issues at 5.
Stupid Sam for trusting the powder throw for so long without checking.
Lesson learned.

So finally got all my paperwork in, got back to the city and picked up my 45.
Grabbed 700 rounds, but it's cabelas hometown heros this weekend and I'm debating another 700.

Been a long two days. It's warmed up way above freezing and our road is crap.
So at 20:00 last night it had cooled off some and I decided to get over the road in less traffic and cooler weather. It was a good idea, road was still crap, but not a mud bog as well. Crashed a couple hours in the back and carried on. Sitting down to have a couple pounds of five alarm wings at my favorite wing spot and then off for a good nights sleep.

Have seen many people have issue with reloads on the 9mm glocks. These were machine loaded also. I think it they are built so tight and the 9mm is a light load.

I like the idea of letting a few try a mag in their gun and see if the same happens.

Brisket done.  17 hours 185 internal temp. 1 1/2 hours resting in cooler.   Not bad at all. Great flavor and tender. Little too much black pepper in the rub but other than that I'm really pleased with it for my first one.

I am betting he missed a little pink inside by around 30* and 5 hours. But am also betting that is a very good tasting piece right there.

Morning Gents!
What am I doing today? Changing batteries on the Dmax apparently!

Best commercially available batteries for the money? Go!

We have oreilly, auto zone, napa, wal mart, sears, battery outfitters etc...

Need to know in the next hour or so and this is a high traffic thread!

Hey.. a HC sighting! Nice to see you.

I have always used the premium Sears batteries and have never had an issue. Even up here in the frozen tundra.

http://www.sears.com/diehard-gold-automotive-battery-group-size-48-price/p-02850948000P?plpSellerId=Sears&prdNo=4&blockNo=4&blockType=G4

They even sell them in pairs.. :)

When I had my first Duramax (2005) my battery went dead in New Jersey. Took it to Sears for a replacement and they said both batteries were dead. I said BOTH??? I didn't realize it had dual batteries. DOH!

Sold the DMax in MN and am currently vehicle less.

Interstate, sold at Costco if you are a member. Napa batteries are also made by interstate, I just bought two from Costco for the JK (800 cc & around $90 with 42 month warranty I believe)

We been working 7 days a week 15 hours a day getting the crops out. Boss got a steel fence post stuck in the corn head and smoked the clutch on that row so we got to quit half hour early tonight. I hope John Deere has one we can rent for a couple days. Expecting snow Friday don't have time to fix it. Gotta keep rolling.

Charles, those steps look great.

Well I went for round two of the massage Chiro to get my neck fixed.
All good today, and out in the woods I'll be looking for white tails in now.
There's been a few good ones seen where I'm hunting so time will tell.
Also the rut hit full swing a few days ago, so my timing is spot on for once.

Took 1/2 day off to clean all the gutters on the house and installed gutter guards. Tired of climbing onto the roof each year!!   Cleaned the gutters on my big barn and looking to see if I can put the same guards on these 5" gutters. Might need another 1/2 day off before the snow flies!

Hopefully it won't be as bad with the guards. Getting up on the barn is a pain!

Well this morning awoke to 34 degrees and rain.
Decided it was TLC day for truck.
Idlers, tensioner, alternator and power steering pump.
Done around lunch and headed into the bush.
Still similar temps and as he sun started to set the rain came back.
Not a thing seen, had something that must have winded me, head it leave I a rush.

See what tomorrow brings.
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

Yeah, I'm down in the 'south' for me at the moment.
But I think winter is showing up at home this week.
We've been both sides of freezing for the last week after an Indian summer showed up.
I think they're calling for zero or so by the weekend.
