It is a big house, but after the baby is born, there will be twelve of us under one roof. Let's just say the 1850 sqft house in the subdivision isn't quite cutting it any more.

Congrats dave! That sounds like it will be really great. I can't imagine that many under 1 roof! I'm guessing the garage will be a nice respite at times! Or make a little cabin/hide hole at the back prop line!

Thanks Wilbur. My wife is very understanding of my needs. When we were looking at houses and the need to sell our property to finance it, she could sense my stress about not having some land to walk on. This is he best of all the worlds, I have land to play and retreat to, as well as a garage I can hide in, and we are getting a great house that she will love. Blessings all around.

RANDYS likes to do little fun stuff like the breakfast buffet we had last month. This Wed we're doing tacos at the track and Sophie and I got to build a pinewood derby car. Sam was working but was super excited when he got home and saw the finished product. nothing spectacular engineering wise, but my 6 year old honestly operated the dremel tool with little to no assistance from me, (gloves and eye protection of course). She liked the bench vice and continually circled around it to get a "better angle" with the sanding drum. 1st place is a $100 amazon gift card so I'm hoping we have some actual competition.

This was yesterday. Today isn't looking much better.

I'm with you guys. 90 is beyond my comfort level.
Now Ken and Tex will laugh at us but oh well.

I towed my camper finally for the first time in a few years...
Had mice, went for remediation. Missing all kinds of stuff.
The cabelas zero gravity chairs, propane tanks, extension cord 30A RV one, and God only knows what else. It was a total junk yard, all our stuff just randomly thrown in bags, no rhyme or reason...
Will be talking to insurance aabout this. The outfit that 'Cleaned' it isn't fit. Everything had a layer of some sort of cleaner, we spent the whole day, well mama did washing everything.
The towing company that moved it, pulled the breakaway switch, so I towed the flat prairie (thankfully) with no brakes on a 10k trailer...

Sheesh, blood pressure spiking again just typing it.

Anyhoot, we are at the Craven Country Jamboree, for the week/weekend.
I'm going to change the burnt brake magnets, and then relax with a few too many I suspect.
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

Good luck with the relaxation aspect there Sam. I'd probably have lost my self control with idiots like that.

Brakes are fixed.
Extra shower meant trip for water.
Funny 'ping' sound leaving town, hmm sounds like u-joint...
So add to my list of random things I've done in a campground...
Trailer brakes and drive shaft...

Into some elixers now and nerves have improved...

Went on a overnighter fishing trip with the boys. Had a nice oatmeal/sausage breakfast.

Broke in the Savage 22, swab, shot, swab. Didn't have cleaning gear handy so I grabbed a glow stick cord and cut up some patches. Used dmax atf on the patches. Kids liked the reflex sight, but said open were still better  This thing is screaming for a can.

Caught a few fish, guess whats for dinner! (recipes welcome) Knife is about 8 inches for ref.

if you want to get fancy, couple lemon slices, crushed garlic cloves and sprig of parsley in the belly, salt and pepper, a little olive oil and wrap it up in parchment or foil and staple shut. 350 for about 10-15 min. steam roasts pretty tasty. you could make it a campfire dinner that way too, foil of course.

Good deal dave. Good luck on finding the new place.

Nice fish! My favorite trout recipe was for little stream caught brookies....after the heads were off rolled in an egg wash, corn meal and fried in a cast iron skillet with a touch of salt. Four of those between two slices of bread (bones and all) and I was a happy camper. Well after 4 or 5 of them sammiches I was. But we were fishing brooks that had waaaay too many brookies in then to begin with so catching and eating them by the bucket load could be considered a "conservation " method. Ha.

Heck that was better that what my fisheries professor in the mountains of CO suggested we do with bookies (he hated brookies as an invasive "trout" killing off the native cutthroats)....he said just throw that trash fiah in the bushes. LOL. funny how even "conservationists" will get their backs up on certain things. I still thought they tasted good!  :cheesy:

I broiled this time, came out great. Posted in whats for dinner, as no pics, it didn't happen.

Anybody have recommendations on a new paint gun?  Was painting a bumper last night and it wasn't spraying very good.  As I was futzing with it the mosquitos kept getting worse and worse.  All I could here was a consistent buzzing of mosquitos.  At that point I had had enough and just dumped the paint back in the pan and walked away without cleaning anything.

THAT sounds like a living he!! If the gun had been working any better you could've fogged them with the paint!

What kind of paint gun are we talking about? HVLP?  My little $10 Harbor freight works alright... and cheap enough to throw away when you don't clean it out  :azn:

I get the gravity feed for heavy stuff and the HVLP for real painting. Even got the little one for detail stuff but haven't tried that one.

They have served me well.

Let's play a game called "Stolen or Naw".
Facts: Homicide detective witnesses wreck. Says car was traveling approximately 80mph in a 40mph zone. Before detective can get turned around and position his car to block traffic, the red car is on fire and the driver is beatin' feet to an alternate AO. So, stolen or naw?

Bonus question: will the girlfriend roll on her man cause he left her to fend for herself in a burning car? (She got out and is ok)

My guess is stolen and she'll claim she didn't know him, just asked for a ride because he looked nice.

I've just been sitting here working and watching a crew cut down 4 big ol' partially dead ash trees in the backyard.  Fifth one comes down tomorrow.  At least I'll have firewood for the winter.

Car (Hyundai) was reported stolen earlier that day. No idea on what caused the fire but the girlfriend flipped on him. She wasn't very happy about being left to deal with that mess by herself.

All packed and heading to Maine fishing in a few hours. Can't wait. By noon tomorrow no cell service until Wednesday. Hope to bring some brookies to the net. Have fun all and stay safe!

We had some friends over last night. The boys were throwing rocks like boys do. Jasper threw one straight up and into the back window of my buddies 05 Taurus wagon. IT bounced off and just when we were saying how lucky we are it didn't break then it shattered. Delay reaction I guess. So we cleaed it all up and they went home. I called the U pull it this morning and they had one. $25.  Lucky its a hatch so a couple nuts and plug for the wiper and we got it all fixed and on the road by noon.
