Microcosm of the country......come to your home uninvited, take what they want and we allow it to happen

Shawn, buy one of those rubber scrotum things that people hang on the truck hitch and leave it on his door step with a note, "noticed you didn't have a pair so I bought you some" - your neighborly Real Man Moderator, Shawn!

I vote you buy a stand alone tent - less hassle, options are endless, stores easy, like in a roof top basket, along with cots and what not.  Cheaper, doesn't resemble tac-topper and doesn't limit where you can take the Burb!

104
Ken, was that a rhetorical statement?

Per Charles comments on mash bills - I know that I don't like Rye.....Makers uses Red Wheat instead, which tends to push their mash more towards bread dough.....I like bread, but not rye bread.

4 Roses has a bunch of variables, yeast strains etc. kinda like a Chemists like for the periodic table of elements.....I haven't found any of theirs that I care for much.

So, after my brother visited yesterday to re-hook the plumbing the counter guys screwed up, I showed him this weapon and came up with a name for it after he left based upon the gun that shall not be mentioned....."Voldemorte" (Harry Potter reference) - LOL!

Great progress Don-

Leave stock flares.

Go easier path on springs with 1” blocks and you can ponder the other route after your trip!

You and the boys are certainly welcome to kick back after Chicago traffic should you be riding on 90; we’re 1 mile off exit and 2 miles from Cabelas.

Me, I’m 55 and feel blessed to be aging well compared to younger people I work with.  Two daughters, oldest turns 29 tomorrow, youngest turned 14 a month ago - Jacob would have been 27 this July.  Grandson turned 8 months last week.

Per Nate’s question about where we’re moving - local; into a better High School district for our youngest.  Will be looking for buy a fixer-upper for a 4 year live and flip God willing.

Fixing up the place to put on the market to sell - paint, new granite counters, under counter sink in the kitchen.  Set it all up a month out so wife can take two days off in a row.  Counter install yesterday, then supposed to follow with plumber next day after adhesives dry etc.  I sent detailed picture of undercounter situation so plumber knew what was needed.  Today, plumber shows with 2 hours scheduled - yep, the counter guys didn't send info to plumber and old drain is too high to re-install without lowering drain behind wall.  Can't get done today - earliest Monday.  NOT HAPPENING as work thing is what pays for this stuff!

Brother, a plumber to the rescue and told the counter place to refund install charges as they screwed the pooch!  People have become so STUPID that companies can't even plan properly for a common procedure without a screw-up.  This is with me knowing ahead of time that this wasn't just a re-attachment job!  If it was, I wouldn't PAY to have it done!  At least plumber they sent pointed out a few other screw-ups with attaching the dishwasher - counter install of attachment bracket screwed up so it wouldn't even have worked correctly!  So we're sinkless until Sunday afternoon some time!

What do average people do when they have no clue what's going on, considering someone with half a brain (me) plans ahead to prevent screw-ups and it STILL is FUBAR?

Integrity Arms - veteran owned and make a great - above average entry level gun with availability of improvements on up.  Don can vouch for the accuracy as he witnessed me wacking a full beverage can at 300m with 1 shot taken at range to connect.  I opted for some nicer options on my build, but all their basics are better than "basic" -

Nate- I’m so into the grove of “why bother” as everyone in positions of authority have fully engaged in the enabling mode of response to the behavior of students, that I’m having a great year.  I teach those who want to learn, blow off stupidity by adults and ignore stuff I used to worry about.

I look forward to seeing this state grow small in the rear view mirror of a moving truck some day in the near future!

Why does the person elected as Speaker of the House, have so much trouble doing it coherently?

Why do people against building the Wall have really tall ones around their houses?

Why is it that those against citizens owning firearms, make those same citizens PAY for people to surround and protect them with those same guns?

Why is the party of Hope & Change so angry now that it's finally happening?

Similar story to Charles, on sunny day in the LML with heavy tint front window (match from factory tint on back ones) and a clown has been riding my posterior along this 2 lane (in summer, midday traffic with housewives with nothing better to do than lollygag around shopping in their cars).  Now, I don't drive slow in any sense of the word, but have learned through maturity and donations to Policeman's Dances that I never get to attend, that there's wisdom in patience until one can make a move.

Finally coming to a intersection that goes 3 lanes in each direction, I slide to the right where nobody ever seems to drive in said open lane, well the hemorrhoid is still there firmly affixed!  I leave the light with haste and this clown slides off my bumper passing me on the left where I signaled to him my status as his number one fan - NOW he's not in such a hurry!  Suddenly flips on the hidden gumballs lights and slides behind me as I turn into a strip mall parking lot.  Plain clothes Barney asks for the usual and proceeds to lecture ME about road rage etc. as i sit with the door open going nowhere.  I questioned him on his choice of following distance for the last several miles in a manner indicative of a compliant yet intelligent and knowledgeable witness in court.

Softening his posture, he inquires about my driving history etc. to which I reply only a warning out of state over a year ago and he returns to his car killing time while he figures a way out of the predicament he now finds himself in.   :police: Barney returned about 8 mins. later returning my license etc. wishing me a nice day........

Grandson a book, wind up bathtub toy, pull toy gator and a combo xylophone hammer block toy. Next year I’ll make a rocking horse for him.

Actually, we were all boo boo lipped about it - we wanted to see the end product!  Something happened mid cable stringing and Don snapped turning the Pre-rangers loose and he brings home a black prefab top that sits upon it still today. I suspect that he got tangled up in cables and canvas and the boys had to cut him free.......

Now Don, on a SERIOUS note:  Look into Lebanon, KY; one of two places in the US where ALL of the Bourbon barrels are manufactured from milled oak staves.  They most likely have a HUGE amount of outside tree rounds available as waste.  Go, cut a deal and load-up with all you can carry then cut into boiler length sections and you're set.  Those oak staves they make are NOT GREEN Oak mind you, so you could be golden in no time regarding usable, clean burning wood for your Casa!

A gift from my memory to yours!  I drive past the Lebanon, MO location all the time-
