if someone can guess what I am making here I will post up all of the info for all to learn from.

Trying to determine if there are bones or not.
The bowl of dark liquid has me thinking there is a marinade in the making.
So I have a couple thoughts, but the kosher salt and brown sugar say the smoker will get involved.

Short of that, I'm hoping that it's a bacon recipe.
Pork side, may or may not have bones. No bones equals BACON I hope.
