Was he running down filled tires?

Okay, let's see him ride it back UP! That was NUTS riding through the blow-down field and then the tight trees!
-
Absolutely nuts. Wow! I was getting queasy watching it!

Other than the jumps it looks a lot my last ride down Mt Werner in Co. although I had full suspension.
And Mike there were some idiots going back up hill later. I had a lift ticket. Smart. Ride down, lift ticket up. Ride down. Repeat. Next day. Unable to stand legs were so sore.

I am with Tex. About five years ago I was into peddle bikes pretty heavy. About three times a week. Nothing on that trail but the massive double would have caused any issue. Utah has trails like that all over. It's much more relaxed for me now. Throttle and a clutch and I can stop and take in the view, I'll stick with my peddle road bike now

Crappy picture but a beautiful ride in Moab. Called affectionately "the gym"

Kind of like riding a horse into a high hunt area. Fun once you get there but darn sore for a couple days just the same.

Yup, I believe that's the name...

yup. sad thing is it will happen a few more times before I get used to it again

I think it's more you get enough stamina your legs support the weight better / longer versus letting it be carried on that seat post.
& I personally feel the padded diaper shorts are gay so I bypass them. Bought a good dg seat & called it a day.

On road bikes, that is not the case. The clipped pedal allows for rotational force to be applied on both the upstroke and downstroke utilizing more of the leg muscle in the process. I have the gay shorts and lots of them. The pad being in your shorts allows for less friction than if you have padding on the seat. Don't ask about butt butter...... The only time you come up off the seat is attacking a hill using your full body weight to power up hill.
They have a name for guys like my who go 200+ on a road bike. They call us Clydesdales.

Pics, or it isn't true. (just say'n)
I will agree good shorts so you don't rub are a good thing. I do need to get a good seat though as mine in to wide (both of em  )

I have never ventured more than forty on a bike. I have biked on fixed gear brake less bikes in my younger years about everywhere but never the road race guy. It was always. To a destination and than home. I found the narrower the seat the less impact it had on my "straddle" I have worn shorts and not worn bike shorts road or mountain. I don't think I ever liked it because you looked like a dip shiz at a party wearing bike shorts lol

Let's be clear. I meant 200lb on a bike. Not 200 miles. Longest I've ridden in a day is 96 miles.
