I ran out of wire. Looking at the welder, I was almost out of gas as well, so I made the sojourn to the local welding shop and restocked

Random question, but how much does it cost to refill the tanks?

Well then I suppose I shouldn't complain about the $70 energy bill I get when I SPARINGLY run my AC. And during the winter the bill is about $20ish on average.

I haven't actually gone and given it an in depth checking. It's been sitting next to the highway and I see it on the weekends when I head up north. It just happened to re-appear on CL with a lowered price. I'd rather have a Cummins in all honesty.

So maybe? yes? no? Price went from $9300 (rounded to even number) to $7900 (rounded to be even). Obviously I'd offer less and see what'd happen.

This sure is sounding more like all of the in-show advertising now days.  Too bad you aren't getting paid / free tools for it.  It seems like every home improvement show just absolutely needs a brand new sierra denali to go pick up one sheet of plywood.  And they have to spend 3 minutes telling things I don't care about in the process.  Jeesh.  ::)
Not sure what you're saying, but I'm just commenting on the drill bits in case someone wanted information on them.

Sounds like he meant it as in the home improvement shows when the host goes " well time to head to (insert home improvement store of your choice) to grab some tools/equipment (your choice) and get a chance to test out my new (insert truck here) that has the (insert powerplant here) that I just got so lets give her a test run and see how she does." And then spends a large chunk of the show talking about something not related to the project at hand, but instead waxes poetically over the non important items instead of what people originally tuned to the show to watch/learn about.

At least that's how I read his post as.

Update, got the front plug wire removed. Maintenance guy at work had some of the long needle nosed pliers. Took a couple attempts to get a good grasp on it, a couple choice words and it came off. Now I'm soaking the plugs themselves in WD40 and another CLP like spray.

Yeah, sucky design...

I have faith in you buddy.

Oh that wire is coming off, I actually need to replace the compressor anyway, but its not in this months budget, and since winter is coming up, I probably won't bother with it since I roll with my windows down 90% of the time.

Long needle nose pliers (called storks by some), work great on the front wire. I would guess that you don't have storks, as most "normal" people...so
Just rip it out, dielectric grease the new one, and work it in, after replacing the plug. You'll need a swivel for the front one.

If I was able to actually get my hand in there to get a grip on the plug wire I'd have a good chance of pulling it off. The AC compressor is right there and a real PITA.

I'm with the smart guyz here
Hit them with PB blaster, then squirt trans fluid over them, let that marinade overnight. Next morning after your 10 mile ruck march hit them once again with the PB Blaster and take em right out. Report MC...Read back.

I gotta get more of the spray. I have an empty can sitting in my hallway closet as a reminder. Gonna grab some after work.

Strange as it sounds, after seasoning and marinating overnight, before grilling give them a good right hand turn to tighten them. most of the time they are more likely to turn a bit in this direction which breaks the seal so to speak allowing you to remove them easier. I learned this little trick from a Mexican fella in the pick and pull yard. I was fighting with a seized alternator bracket bolt when he wandered over, and had it broken free in seconds.

I've done the right hand turn a tad, then loosen. These just didn't want to be free, but they will be free, whether they wish it to be or not.

hit them with some pb blaster or the like.  Try it a little warm also.

I'm sad to say I'm out of PB blaster and WD40. And even sadder is I left my socket set up at my parent's so I wasn't even able to attempt the plugs while she was still warm.. Murphy is diabolical.

Yea, if I went big, it would be hard to argue against the G21 I own and know well, Heck even the G30 which I have dumped a case or two of ammo through.

I actually an a bit of a fan of the M9 because of all those years carrying that monster. Mine has never malfunctioned, and I seldom clean it. It just runs, and thousands of rounds now

So when they start talking a new Armee gun, I sit up and pay attention!

I'm not an M9 fan, but I don't see it being replaced anytime soon. Hopefully, maybe, wishfully...

Well Saturday was the day that I had allotted time for myself to do the distributor cap, rotor, plug and wires. Murphy decided that it was time to rear his head and let slip the dogs of misfortune. The previous owner must have NEVER swapped the plugs and they felt like they were welded to the block; hindsight I should have swapped them myself soon after buying XJ. They weren't having anything to do with being removed. I did get the cap and rotor swapped out, 1 plug wire and the coil wire. In order to do that I had to play twister with the new cap, rotor and my wrist but in the end I prevailed.

Flash forward to today, after Confined Space Rescue Tech refresher, I was in the parking lot of my apartment when I felt a disturbance in the force,  quickly realizing that Murphy wasn't paying attention, I seized the moment and got 4 of the plug wires swapped out before my luck turned and Murphy once again declared "no go" and the front plug wire eluded me yet again, and so the plugs stayed secured in the block.

I do have some pics, but it'll have to wait until I can get the old plugs out to see how crappy they look. At this rate I'm almost afraid to replace the injectors... Almost, Murphy, ALMOST!

I kind of like it, in a non CC sort of way

With that thing, I might go back to a .45 for CC. I like the setup on that FNP tactical. Thinking of finding one with an optic and see if it carries. Optic: Good for what I may have to do.

Why don't you get your Glock set up to run an RMR with suppressor sights? Same concept. Same platform you're already familiar with, probably more cost effective. But if you are looking at it as a " I want something new to shoot, because I want one" then Charlie Mike. But if it's just a " it has an optic, 15 rds mags, and a threaded barrel" then acquire the necessary items and get one of your already owned weapons retrofitted and move out.

Either way, pics are required.

15 + 1 and optics
My G21 has 15 rounds, no optics
Never had optics on a pistol, unless you count the time I set my sunglasses on my glock after church

I've held one at Cabela's or one of the tactical gun shops in the area, can't remember which. It didn't have optics, you gotta add them; at least this one didn't. I wasn't impressed by it, but hey to each their own I suppose. The controls and etc were easy to operate as they are pretty large, well compared to HK, Glock, M&Ps which are generally smaller, so I suppose those would be nice if wearing gloves or whatnot.

I have a Specialized Cross Trail that is the perfect balance of on and off road for me. It's a hybrid, so it's built more like a mountain bike (front shocks, disk brakes, upright stance) but has more street efficient tires and wheels. So it's very efficient on the road, but does pretty good on trails too (packed dirt, gravel, etc). Also pretty light with all aluminum frame. I can take some photos if there's any demand...

Yes, since I'm looking for a bike for trail and road. Need to incorporate some biking, and more running into my repertoire.

Think of it like our veterans here. Each branch/MOS thinks their way is the right way to attack a problem. Don wants to fly in low and slip some guys out the back, Bobby wants to come en masse from high altitude and Nate wants to stand off a few miles and send in HE

Nighttime, low level mass-tac parachute assault, vertically envelop the battlefield and all who stand opposed to the forcible entry that is occurring on their AO. Proceed with small unit fire and manuever and liberal application of boot to booty.

Scopes o plenty to look at, but I want power and repeatability for sure. Leaning towards a Vortex, just like what I hear about them.

Twist and ammo will play a big part and why I went with a 1-8 twist. Gives me options for light and heavy rounds. I think 62-69 will work the best plus the Wylde has tighter chamber.

Oh and it came in today, looks great,,,,,,,,

No happens around my area as well. Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois seems to flow up around here, traffic increases exponentially, top that off with the normal traffic due to everyone getting off and hitting the highways at the same time, in construction zones.

I was surprised how much the .223 drops off after 400 or so yards.

You can stretch it out further. Granted there's not much umph left but it can reach out there. Slightly easier with a bolt as more gas is behind the round, but a gas rifle will do it.
