UPDATE:
Nothing new to really report on. XJ is still rusty, still driving and that's about it. Although, I have been looking into adding a 99 Grand Cherokee to the mix as a backup vehicle.

the magpul ms4 gen 2 converts from 2 point to one point sling and has the quick connection. Gives the best of both worlds. you should check it out.
I was actually looking at one today at Gander Mountain. I got off work and realized I had nothing to do so I was wandering around looking at stuff.

Muy interesante, Bobby. Did a little Wiki search. A 3 round burst would be nice. H&K has always made good stuff. I'd still like a MK23 one day.
However, S&W, Steyer, Springfield and the rest all copied the Glock after its widespread success. There is an interesting story about the CEO of S&W slamming a Glock on the conference room table and screaming at the engineers "If you can't beat it, then copy it!"
I wonder how accurate 3rd burst would be on a pistol that size. MK23 is a beefy pistol... much sexiness in it. The new USPs' with the updated grips are SOO nice, but there's the rather important issue of the H&K price tag..

You mean "polymer guns?" H&K technically did the first. Glock did the first that was widely used and accepted.

* The Glock grip angle is based on the Luger grip angle, but without using Google, why do MOST European firearms use that grip angle?

Like everyone else, I had to get the front end off the ground, so I had 4" lifts installed, with monotube shocks. Go monotube shocks when/if you lift it. Installed a set of 33" all terrains on them. It was perfect. Not too high, but just enough to clear speed bumps...
And yes, all those mileages I posted above, were while running the 4" lift and 33's.

We had taken the Ranger along with the pre-Rangers on a little hike earlier in the day...everyone was tuckered out. Me and the boyz popped in a movie and grabbed the two closest things!
Nice. The potato salad was a bright spot in my morning, made the rest of the day at work seem better.

Been wearing this version of the cobra buckle for about six months-
Pros- positive solid retention buckle, plastic (handy for airport security), no tail to weave through, can buckle your pants back together during public restroom ops to keep your gear from falling all over the floor
Cons- wife looks at it funny and can't figure out how to undo it! ;) :-[ ???
Been thinking of getting a new belt and utilizing one of those, but I've been eyeing the metal ones. Why metal? Cause, I have a tendency to break things, or things break and I'm somehow to blame. So I, personally, prefer something sturdier as a just in case.

If you save them to your computer and open them with windows photo viewer or whatnot, you can rotate them 90* left or right until they are orientated in the direction you prefer. Once they are how you want, once you go to swap to the next pic in the queue they will automatically save themselves.

You don't have to hide it Chief, you were laying on the floor acting like a kid who just got a new puppy. I agree...that looks like maybe 350-400 yards..?....trajectory wouldn't be a factor on that slope.
Couple inches give or take. I don't know off the top of my head.

The only thing that concerns me is that it is down slope and how that will mess with trajectory vs flat ground.
If it's a very gentle grade, it shouldn't cause too much of a difference. However, that is also something important to learn anyway. I'll find the calculator and post it up. Look carefully at the thousand + holes already in it. Wee-Rangers have been chewing that up with a 10-22 Ruger, a 20 gage, my M4 and some pistols!
Places all over that property for ranges.
I noticed the impact scars. I meant from the concrete shrine outwards you have an open area that has a (it appears on the photos) gentle grade. That looks to me like a tailor made KD zero range.

I could build a box mounted, flat against the front bed wall tank from scratch. But that's going to be a bit of a process, and I am unsure I want to give up the space on a short box. I also prefer to not have the weight that high in the chassis.
I was going to suggest a bed mounted tank, but you answered before I thought about posting.

Love my FAL, but it seems as tho my wife loves it more.....she usually sticks me with the AR15 while she burns through 5 or 10 mags, as I watch $$$$ flying through the air.
It's still worth it, see'in a 110 pound gal shouldering a fairly large rifle, and hitting what she aims at.

Bobby, at my age, I need all the magnification I can get....I really liked my US Optics 3.8-22. 15X is just barely enough for me between 700-1000. More magnification the better for me. I've learned to shoot with both eyes open, so it helps with peripheral vision
US Optics are nice... my wallet doesn't like the price. Magnification is nice.

3.5X15X50mm mil/mil with a full 30Mil of internal elevation and 21 Mil windage. First focal plane. I'm not good enough to instantly switch mental calculation between MOA and Mil and remember to dial back to 10X to range. That's why every thing I own is FFP/Mil/Mil I only have to remember one set of calcs and values.
hows the view at 15x? I'd build a few things different about that gun

And a gas blocker and flip up front sight.
I do like the 16" barrel length, but not crazy with the flash-hider. Would add one to fit a can and maybe a piece of rail on the underside for a folding bipod.
I like the forged upper, and the M4 profile 1/10 barrel and I'm OK with a gas piston.
I can just never imagine that gun AR style out shooting my M1A
But the M1A does not like cans and has a clunky stock and is W A Y L O N G!!
Gas block and flip up wouldn't be hard to swap. The flash-hider is supposedly pretty effective. I can recommend Midwest industries for a narrow front end with only a top rail along the top, and you add small 1.5-6" sections of rail where you want them. They are under 9 oz total. Between the M1A and the AP4 , I think they are going to be about equalish in MOA. Depending on ammo and the person behind it.
