There was an oil slick. I blended it, well I put it in the coffee and mixed it with a spoon. But I didn't put my coffee in the blender, I think for hot coffee that's a crime.

Trust me, I agree with you. I had to "try" the butter coffee trend too when facebook told her to. the blender was the only way to make it work, but yes, criminal. Black and in a cup works great for me.

So we (wife, son, mom, niece and I) went down to Florida town (disney world, ughh) for what wife and I call race weekend, did our last race this morning.

The green is from the 5k Friday morning, silver on top is for 10k Saturday morning, the big black one on top is from the half marathon this morning, bottom middle is for running both the 10k and the half, top right is for running a disney half marathon in Disneyland and Disney world in the same calendar year, bottom left (the Kessel Run) is for running both stats Wars half marathons, the one in cali in January and then today.

Didn't do as good as I'd hoped but good enough I suppose. Wife was number 14 for one of the divisions she is in, and was 115 out of 1585 for the 30-34 females. I was 275 of 1201 in the 30-34. Overall we were 2380 and 2381 out of 16302 finishers.

Was a good weekend overall, my niece ran her first 5k on Friday and did great.

Our son also ran a kids race of a 100m, he's only 3 so it's cool!

So how many parsecs did you make the run in? ;)

Too many! I would  figure it was about 12 :) most think it was 14 though.....

I think Han might have some negative things to say about the millennium falcon running in 45 light years  nice work, I love running, but I like breathing more. every once in a while I'll grab an inhaler and give it a shot, but usually wind up sitting on the couch for the rest of the day trying to recover my wind. Any tips for the asthma kid?

We get the cold pressed, unrefined stuff from Costco and use it every day. My wife uses it for makeup removal and skin moisturizing, but we also put it into our morning coffee (with some sweetner) and blend it in the blender to froth it up like a cappuccino. Even use it as a teeth whitener... and it works great.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk

Bobby,

if you don't blend it, like he stated you wind up with a slightly coconut flavor oil slick on the surface. blended is OK but careful you don't use too much or you wind up with excessive lubrication of internal hydraulics and waste management systems.

I don't broadcast it due to possible conflicts of interest but let's just say my part time "hobby" at the local pub has paid off substantial debt, allowed my creative outlet and caused me to gain a little weight. This is what I was making last night. stout braised corned beef brisket with house made thousand, marbled rye and swiss w/ really good kraut and fries. deli sliced the corned beef, then flat topped it for heat and color, layered the kraut and melted the swiss into it before throwing in the press. It did not suck.

Reno huh? You get the stink washed off you yet?
Been working on this for the last 4 days in short spurts.... finally finished clay barring the wife's rig tonight. Borrowed the neighbor's dewalt buffer to work some scratches out and then get a nice coat of wax on it.

I love detailing the wife's rig, even though it's plain white, looks brand new after a good clay bar/wax.

This is how I always envisioned my first truck. Didn't even know it was a Toyota because Mcfly only called it a 4x4. The lights on that and on D-Max will always be the "correct" setup. Light bars are cool and all, but seem to fit better on newer jeeps and more futuristic looking rigs? I don't know maybe I'm crazy, but the first thing I bought for my wagoner were KC lights for the bumper and 6" HELLA's I tucked behind the grill. I love the look and the "you did NOT just cut me off in traffic" appeal.

Got a good chuckle there Wilbur. Spendy? kinda. My money? nope. but just think of all the starving pygmies down in new guinea who throughout their whole lives all they ever wanted was a 90's chevy on 35's with proper gears. Are you really going to take that dream away from them? '

Traded the truck for a Malibu?? Whats wrong with you man!?  :knucklehead:

Yeah it was a tough call. 275k LB7 w/ injectors starting to go, t case smoked, REALLY bad chassis rust w/ rotted rockers, and a new higher mortgage. After the trailer is sold we will have no real need for a diesel truck, and I'm commuting 78 miles a day. 38 mpg and a solid warranty on a basically new car without the depreciation and cost to fix the truck sounded pretty convincing

I hear ya man, just had to give ya a hard time ;)

My truck is a glorified driveway princess. I work from home, so it sees maybe 30 miles a week? Do I need it? Probably not, but nice to have it when I do.

I know. I've learned a LONG time ago not to take anything personally from this group. All good natured ribbing or actually constructive criticism. Well, except Shawn and Ash. Not my actual car, but pic is accurate.

You could always gear it Blaine. Would stop hunting gears and bring the mileage back up somewhat. probably somewhere in the middle of where you were and where you are. What size are those BFG's? Getting the RPM back to where it should be will preserve the trans, and you won't have to do 85 to keep it in the right rpm range.

Tina Fey/Sarah Palin, very nice btw!

OK been dark for a while. Several WDYDT moments that need to be chronicled. I left for Chanlder, AZ on Thursday, fully intending to hunt down and remove the offending "H" sticker from Ken's Prius. Got delayed at Rawhide with my sisters, nieces and nephew, (my fam too of course) Then the Capitols and Coyotes game (very embarrassing for DC), but Sam caught a puck off my brother in law's head during warm ups, so that was cool. tried to get some scalped tickets to the Zags disappointment but couldn't part with the $600 each they wanted for final 4 tickets, and now that they lost, I'm happy I missed out. Then Tuesday night, without warning, we all became violently ill. Both barrels and non stop, couldn't even keep down water kind-of-sick. after 6 straight hours of this nonsense I called it, flew us all home 5 days early to be diagnosed w/ Norovirus. Truck had to be put down with a final diagnosis of completely fried transfer case due to pump rub and neglect/stupidity and was traded in on a certified used 2016 Chevy Malibu. (pics to come). Also have a Tuff Shed on order and had to clear a space so 12 wheel barrow loads of 3-9" river rock later and about an hour of leveling the site I came up with this. also moved a giant (read really heavy) piece of driftwood for mama to start her plants in.

that's me and my nephew, my nieces and daughter, and my baby sister with my nieces and Sophie in the back w/ the hand binocs.

Pump rub has claimed another victim. mostly metal based mud came out of the transfercase. Lots going on right now, but the problem is solved. I donated the truck to TRN's favorite northwest stealership. They'll probably throw a used case on it, lift it and put some bling on it to sell to some unsuspecting redneck... with the negative equity and need for a reliable form of transportation I wound up in a 2016 chevy Malibu with lower payments, factory warranty intact, and no maintenance issues or higher cost diesel fuel. it was a sad day, but she did what I needed her to do when I needed it. thanks for all the help guys.

Friday evening was our 10 year anniversary party, (small group, friends and family, karaoke night, nothing fancy) and on the way home from work I had to stop to sign our tax prep paperwork. Getting into the parking lot I heard some ugly noises from my truck. Now I've been having tcase issues, but the parking lot is pretty uneven and truck makes a lot of noise anyway, so I played ostrich and parked it like nothing happened. When I came back out and went to put her in drive, it sounded like gears spinning against each other and would not engage. Driveline moves up and down about 1/4" at the output shaft brg, so I gambled and lost, 1 hr before we were supposed to meet for the party. Cursed a couple times, left it there and went out for the evening. Had a good time with the anniversary gathering and woke up early to have roadside assistance tow me to the trans shop where she currently awaits full diagnosis. Could have happened anywhere along my 45 mile commute rte, so I feel blessed it was in a Kroger parking lot that's well lit and patrolled and the manager knows me. Now I'm driving a 1990 short cab std bed manual trans z71 that my neighbor is loaning me and wondering why I don't just buy it from him...
Come on in to the old school! The water is fine!! (For now)

man, I would love to stay there. driver's window doesn't work, steering wheel is off, wanders with the loose front end parts, no headliner or cab light, and I love it. too bad she doesn't want to sell.

well update... had to have it towed to the trans shop. (luckily I've worked with the guy since '05 and he's not going to hurt me bad). leaving the grocery store made a very unhappy noise and will no longer go into gear in 2wd, reverse is ok, but slips out with any good pressure. 4wd makes a lot of racket, and I could move the driveline up and down considerably at the output shaft slip yoke. bearing is fried, hopefully not a bunch more carnage besides that but I'm not holding my breath.
