The first link I posted the light puts out 3700 lumens.  The second light puts out 1600 I think I read   I money and light output is worth it to me to buy the double lights.  I also have fought to travel with eight foot tubes.  Unless you buy a case you have to be pretty careful. The buzz of the fluorescent lights bugs me after working at a desk under them for so long.  The pulsing gives me a headache

I kind of wanted to try LED lights, all my power in the garage comes from that one  Circuit that I changed back to the 15 amp breaker on.   I don't want to turn on a angle grinder and have the lights on.  I guess I have it in my head to conserve energy

Good luck.  I have had similar but with my basement walls.  Framers did 2 foot centers and no drywall backing.   I can't ever catch two studs for a shelf and if you lean into a corner you pop the drywall. :(

Today I had a few minutes and removed the insert and sanded the 2x4s with 220 grit removed all the chalk lines, pencil marks and put a coat of stain on, three coats of lacquer with sanding in between coats. Looks good I think all finished
Don't mind the end. I need to move the tool box to finish that edge

Another thought from the other day,

A story type thought.  About a monk and his apprentice.

The Chinese monk and apprentice where traveling across the country and got caught in a down pour of rain, they found shelter in a small hut that was occupied by another traveler as well.  I very wealthy woman, dressed in fine fine linens and robes.   The rain let up the following morning and as the travelers looked out the road was submerged in water well over the bottoms of their robes.   The servants were standing in the rain holding up her litter ( the two person carried cart) so that it would not be muddy also. As she complained and gripped about her muddy predicament the monk scooped her up and carried her to the cart and she scolded him for doing so, he continued on his way with the apprentice following swiftly behind.

Hours past and the monk could sense the servants discomfort.  He inquired of the reason and the apprentice was frustrated about the way the lady had treated him after he had only helped the woman, nothing but kindness   The monks wise words were " I put that woman down hours ago as so should you "

We as people carry to much weight and baggage with us. Life is now and not to be lived in the past.  Let go of grudges, forgive this who need forgiven and put down the things in life that hold you back!

So this week i got suckered into buying some fancy bottles.  Bottles wit breathers in them claiming they eliminate bubbles and the need to burp said baby.    Well both of my boys still get bubbles, still unload there while belly of food about every third bottle just as I was having with the previous el cheapo bottles.   Thought or experiences?

On the other hand. We got to stop and see great grandpa.   He flew the b52 I believe, grandma was a bank manager.   Anyway.... Grandpa is the only son of an only son, my father was his only son I am my dads only son.  I killed the tradition by doubling down allowing our family lineage to continue.   He was so excited to see he posterity.  It was a really neat experience plus his Parkinson's helps rock the boys to sleep.

Grandpa is the guy who taught me how to farm, taught me how to build and machine and tried to teach me how to be patient (didn't work)
He started out as a bottom level machinist at Thiakol, know known as ATK the supplier of NASA all the rocket boosters. Retired there and was referenced in so many patents and tools designed as the lead. the book is four inches thick. This led the way for my father lead down the same path and I am following him.  Family lineage is important.   Know where you came from where you need to go and who is watching you from above

Is it a bad thing to roll over nudge the wife and ask.  "Did you feed the boys  at all last night?" Her response was great " no I don't think I did at all" as in the bed room I hear the boys screaming like they were going to die.  You know that death scream kids get.   Well turns out my body was going to sleep through anything and she was on the same plan

I will look for a different plug for the power. I'll also flip my tank fittings to the left side of the tank so it's not in the dark corner. Still a few things to do

I have had a ZT in my pocket. It's a smooth knife but the design is bulky and doesn't blend into a pocket very well.
My everyday this past two years has been the Gerber propel down range auto.  I love the quality of blade and it sharpens easy enough.  I did some modifications like sanding down the rough edges but other then that.

It's been a really nice knife

Ok I lied.  I couldn't put away the mess.  Needed to finish it.   I am sure the neighbors hate me a little after screw guns and skill saw at 11:40pm.

Anyway here is all but finished product.

All that is needed  no is some shorter screws to attach the top into the 1x1 that the top plate rests on

Then I am going to use the same 1 x to frame in some peg board and use it to hang random tools and what not.  Also going to  look for that new vise and bring and mount my bench grinder.

What do you all think?
I do have some sanding of edges and then I will stain the 2x4s with the top removed so it gives it some contrast and styles

Ok. I moved forward today,  I won't be rewiring for the mean time, HOA will not allow any out buildings. Yes I know HOA's suck some times.    I managed to get some pretreated birch board.  I have designed the bench so I can change tops as needed.  I can set a fresh top in and screw it down with some smaller corner counter sunk screws.  The compressor will be able to slide out if needed( heaven forbid) and I think the shelves need to go up higher ten inches or so.   As is tonight

How would you all feel about a pig tail cord for 220. As a smaller length of cord? A splice in the wire seems shady.    But if I got another four feet or so I could add two more plugs and use sort of an extension cord to flip the compressor around

I'd flip it around so the pulleys are against the wall to keep little fingers and such outta there.....

As the compressor sits now.  In order for me to plug in to power I have to move the dryer and plug in behind that.   I have just enough power cord to make the reach if I turned it I would not.   However the black shroud has some pretty good coverage

Found a free min.

Ok the from floor to top of the a/c is 37 inches.  The widest part of the a/c is 2ft.
The wall and the tool box is seven feet.
The metal shelves are 57 inches from the floor.   Now that I look at this I think the bench will have a L shape to is down the side of the garage.
