I used an overlap and some sealer/adhesive on the second panel

19402
Flipping all that business over I attached the roof panels, end gap sealers first then two poly carbonate panels

19403
I then covered the underside (Inside) surface with a piece of rigid foam board

19404
Using standard R13 bat, the space was filled nicely

19405
Next up I insulated one of the roof panels

19406
Then the other door

19407
Then I fitted a 2", then a 3/4" piece of foam board to the inside of the door

19408
Next up, I trimmed out the doors. I created a 3/4" flange that I'll attach some weatherstrip to to seal up those gaps

19409
I staked the alignment dowel with a single screw. I pushed it apart and back together several times. The concept works!

19410
It made quick work of those CPVC holes I had been drilling.

19411
Oh, and mine can be used as a hammer as well!

Just turn it to hammer and beat the heck out of nails and things!

Or maybe that means something else...?  ;-))

19412
I LIKE THAT DRILL!

Thanks Dave for pointing me toward that awesome drill. Like I said I ended up with the 996, not the 991. They are both the absolute top of the line drills. What's that cool way the chuck depresses a bit when you push it into the work?

That's cool!

For we soldiers, these and others like them are simply targets, nothing more. More easily said as a pilot watching my mini guns chew through them from 500 feet. But guys like Bobby and others who were grunts, it did get close and personal. But regardless of what you take home with you, those bastards didn't get to go home.

I find it unconscionable that any man would allow a child to perform such a barbaric act. I don't know if there is any fixing a young person who had done something like that. I see no compatibility between Islam and Christianity. Unless the Islamic people denounce that barbarism and help gut that out of their culture. I want to see them hand those animals over to us. I'd say nothing if they handed them to us in parts, matters not. You can't take a pit bull to a court room. If it proved to be a killer, you have to put it down.

Think about this for a second or two. The "stopping" of what you saw may fall to you, and not a soldier or a cop. Our men need to realize this and be prepared.

The only thing I would say about lower receivers is that not all of I own fit all the mags I own!!!!!!!!

I picked up that Mag-Pul fifty round tommy gun lookin' mag and the darned thing won't seat in my POF gun!

That POF is my favorite .22 of the lot. That POF runs other mag-pul mags, but the bulge of the tommy gun mag isn't cuttin' it. The POF also runs those Sure-Fire mags which are definitely my favorites

That skill which I still teach today, and actually teaching a class tomorrow came from John Shaw

http://weaponstraining.com/pages/about.htm#John

Just about all the SF guys I've had the fortune of training with attended his courses.
Ya, after dimeing out the Seals, there was a period of "healing" then I assume things got back to normal, but only for a certain community
Shaw has likely trained thousands!

I haven't seen it yet but know what it shows....my concern is whether troops will be as inclined to pull the trigger when they need to seeing a child in the cross hairs (so to speak). It will require a serious desensitization to do that, similar to seeing women as true combatants is my guess. This evil is beyond comparison to my knowledge. God help the men we ask to protect us.
We will pull the trigger, rest assured

This is a war for the survival of civilization

I would not post this except to show how far this evil has spread and to prepare the men who will stand, to prepare themselves to stand against such evil

If you are a combat vet, have any PTSD issues, DO NOT open this video

I'm not kidding. Don't look at it if you have lost people down range

For others, This is the future generation of hate coming to us from Syria. Perhaps now you might realize how much of a threat Islamic syrian refugees represents

God have mercy on and protect his children, not these monsters...

Edit: I removed this vid...Suffice to say it was horrible.

3/4 ton burb would be nice

Should really suck the gas, but could tow easily

Better parts than the 1/2 ton version.

We owned two Surburbans and have to say, they were amongst our very favorite vehicles

All my threads be gettin' locked

I'm still chucklin'

And that darned DTT is still being discussed (Disgusted ;-)

So you's people want a safe place forum...What should we call it? Snowflake land?

I could lock everything so no one could do anything in there, and just post up threads containing picutres of butterflies and unimacorns and have soothing meditation music...

But what about Stlaser, Kenworth and the rest of the common rabble.

they'd be in there right away junkin' the place up and then a bunch of hippies would be all upset and start PM'ing me.

Anyone thought about that?

And then when things got all evened out and "safe", well, Norm or some other knucklehead would be in there asking the question...You know, the one which stirs the pot and causes yet more controversy!

The way I see it the poor snowflake wusses would be lookin' for safety, then find themselves in some shark tank where you numb skulls baited them in the first place.

But if said thing were to happen, the perpetrator(s) would have to be the moderators...

^^^ Half the stuff????

I'd settle for a corner's worth from one of Norm's sheds

(Shed the one with 4 walls and a roof, that's leanin' a bit? Do I have that right?)

19423
I picked up the Dewalt 996 drill, couldn't find a 991. Got the compatible 1/4" impact driver as well

996 has a three speed trans and the 650 watt motor. But, came with 3 ah batteries, not the 5ah. I suppose I can add a 5ah bat to the collection in time. I'll just add all dewalt 20VDC tools from here on so the batteries will be compatible

Friend of mine sent me this, I thought it was pretty funny. Btw, he's happily married to a very successful professional female & he's by no means sexist for the record. He lives to give people including me a hard time.

I like to go on  Facebook to the pro Hilary sites and argue with them when I've had a rough day. Last month they were saying that they were holding a million woman march against trumps innageration. I told them they need to march back to the kitchen. My phone was going off all night.
Bravo! Bravo!

Not for making a sexist comment, but for who you made it to!

Ditto DeWalt....I also think Porter Cable stuff is good but I like the yellow.
Ditto DeWalt....I also think Porter Cable stuff is good but I like the yellow.
I've had this old Porter Cable 18 Volt drill since 2002 or 03. It has so many miles on it that the chuck stem wobbles big time, but it still runs a screw.
Because of that one, I purchased a new PC 20 volt drill and hammer drill set. It is running like a top, I'm completely satisfied, but that drill is farm side, not here.

19426
OK, Dewalt 991...I'm off to the races...

I singled out the Stew and shot him
What's there to explain?

Stew, just messing with you
If you want (those worthless) threads unlocked, just say the word (and get banned) and I'll do it!
Hugs n' kisses all around bro! :beercheers:

Thread locked too!

Man, this power/control thing is a rush!

Why: Cause it's dumb, that's why!

19430
I'm jumpin' hard on you DOTs. You's peoples are outta control, like usual

I'm puttin the clamp down on this thread so you will go outside and play or go do something useful around the house

You know, I'd be up for selling it for a good cause...or auctioning it off, but only if the money really went to help someone desperately in need. Someone God placed on my heart for help

Like some depressed snowflake needing more counseling and with a low balance on his Starbucks card

Had ya didn't I!

Truth is, anything I own is the Lords, period

If he sells it to give the money to a snow flake or a snowball, well, I'd just have to say "He's the Lord, and smarter than me."

19432
I'm gonna pull this one down, see if I can fix it. Maybe fix a rail to it while it's apart so I can add attachments...;-)

Desalt 20v brushless Lipo battery here you come http://www.dewalt.com/en-us/products/power-tools/drills/drills-and-hammer-drills/20v-max-xr-lithium-ion-brushless-3speed-drilldriver-kit/dcd991p2

Dave you own that?
I have a 20Volt Porter Cable down at ma place, but use the Bosch up here.

You use the Dewalt?

Norm is using it screwing into steel (Old hardwood) which is a pretty good endorsement...

19434
It either stripped the gears in the transmission or the clutch let go. It won't transfer but a little torque, then it starts slipping!

Grrrrrr.......

19435
And right in the middle of drilling the first hole, my Bosch drill grenaded!!!!!!!!!!!

19436
I found a spade bit that produced a hole which was just a tad bit looser than "snug"

19437
Then I added nailers to the lower edge

19438
To make the roof panels removable I planned to "Key" them in place with some pins. I'll be using 1/2" PVC as the pins. First I positioned the two roof panels and temporarily screw them in place

19439
Then the other side:

And just like that the exterior sheeting was complete. The trim still has to be added after some more fitting, insulation, and painting.

19440
Then on to a side

19441
Got the thing sheeted finally

Starting with a side wall it's just a lot of labor to carry the panels, fit, mark, cut, glue and screw them into place, then moving on

It all started with finishing out the collector panel south wall

John Shaw

neva heard of him.

i guess i need to be one of the cool kids....
Gold medalist in shooting

Won every major shooting competition on earth

Very active in the early developmental days of super-duper special opns...

Once he catered to our people, we basically "Absorbed" him

He flourished for quite some time.

Then he gave an interview and mentioned Delta, Seals and us, (160th) and that was that.

No one ever went back. You see once the press gets on to us, what we were doing or where we were, they'd wait around to try and get the story. Everything that community does is "Close hold" so a squawk box is given over the other side. That's what Shaw did and killed a great training school.

But by then we had our own experts and champions. The training we provided our folks internally became world class. One place you can see it is at the BlackWater school in Moyock, N.C.

I went to that twice. Funny too because the first range day shooting the G19 I am drawing and shooting my lane with this 1st bat Ranger following me. He tells me to clear and holster. Then he asks right up, "You a 160th guy/"
I answered in the affirmitive and asked how in the heck he figured that out. He said its the way you guys draw, very unique. He then chuckled and said I didn't need to be on this course, but go ahead and have fun, which I did

At the end of the training the Seal instructors were having fun with us and decided to have a shoot-off between the top two guys in the class. We had around 30 I think. Well, he called a K9 guy and me, and away we went. Had us shoot a lone with steels. I was ringing mine and shot his as well, so he started shooting mine too. Not sure who won, probably him. I remember he shot one of my targets just as I was squeezing off a shot at it. He hit it, and spun it and my bullet passed through empty airspace.

Then the seals berated the other guys for having a dog handler and a pilot out shoot actual ground guys.

That skill which I still teach today, and actually teaching a class tomorrow came from John Shaw

Well guys, since we are talking about it, I have been playing with a symbol. We created something early on in 2014 and printed it on T-shirts. But I wanted something more universal, subtle, and memorable

I came up with the thing pictured. A Nautical compass because we navigate through the travails of life. The compass indicates the many directions there are, which we may take,

This compass points to a distant cross on a hill. It suggests that we navigate and our true north is the cross. That men of this place navigate through life with a spiritual true north that is the Christ.

It is not done, but I like it so far, and I wanted to give it a long time and thought before presenting it to the members here

Kyle talked about hiring someone to help the site with branding, question is, is this the "brand?"

Question before you get to far- can you get the tanks in/out those doors?  Just a  preventative thought.....otherwise looking good!
Why would I need to Mike?

19446
And the second door

These are built in the same manner as the collector boxes. Everything is both screwed and glued

19447
And it is definitely pretty snug

19448
First door is created

19449
Inside view, you can see the tight clearances. I want to start with small cracks which equals less of an area to seal with a gasket

19450
I first built the door frames out of 1 X 4 to keep the doors light, but still reasonably strong
