Share Your Recipe / sweet and spicy sauce
« on: January 11, 2018, 06:12:00 PM »
here is a recipe that I came across and worked over a little.  this is a sweet and spicy sauce that can be put on/over chicken, pork chops or even on some Asian recipes...........you choose.

Ingredients:

- ⅔ cup brown sugar
- 2-4 tablespoons siricha sauce
- 1 tablespoon louisana hot sauce (opr whatever brand you prefer)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (you could substitute white vinegar)
- ⅓ cup water
- (if its not sweet enough, you can add a little more brown sugar/agave/molasses, just be carefull, because molases will calm the heat level down)

Directions:

- whisk all ingredients together into a small sauce pot
- bring to a boil over medium heat
- stir until thickened (about 5 minutes)

Drainage i dont believe would be the problem, i believe the problem to be the fact that raw wood is in contact with the bare ground?

Hide Site / Re: Hide Site/Bug-out location Construction, Part 5

Just a question here, cause something dose not seem right or maybe im just jumping ahead.....?

Are you building that shed base flat on the ground with absolutely no barrier between the wood and ground (read quick wood rot), or are you going to put that thing up on some pier blocks?

2763
How long are you needing for your mill?

2765
and here is the final pic.......

the box is now in its final spot and shimmed so its level.

I had to do a little re-arranging of the tools on the wall, but all in all were in business.

now i just have to do final tweaking on how the drawers will be organized and what will be in each drawer.  speaking of which, yeah i did replace the crappy craftsman box with a matching husky one from home depot as well.

I do know that one will be my auto stuff and the other one will be home stuff (hopefully i can keep it that way ) .

2766
and here you can see the underside of this behemoth..........I will be VERY SUPPRISED if this thing starts to buckle.

all 6 casters are heavy duty, the 4 corner ones swivel as well as lock, and the 2 center ones swivel completely as well.  so yeah you can actually push the front of this thing and make it go wherever you want it to.

2767
here are a few more.

yeah, I think that this new box is actually as big if not a little bigger than my smoker.

2768
so here are a few pics of this new box

2769
remember,

this is/was all to replace this busted arse little red craftsman piece of crap........(not the quality snap on top box, now I know why snap on is so expensive.)

notice how the bottom box has buckled..........yeah, there are no cross braces/bars/whatever you want to call them that go around the bottom.  the casters are simple bolted to the sharty sheet metal.

Here is a chuck roast that i did the other night.  It is one from my locker beef.  Good marbling and DAMN did it taste good.

I started off trying to use a small 6qt crockpot, but quickly found out that i had to pull out the 12qt cast iron dutch oven.....

2777
well, heres the one that I went with.

I chose this one for the pure fact that it was $100 cheaper and it gave me 2" more on the work top.  I honestly have to say that this thing is HEAVY and seems to be pretty darned good construction.  hopefully it will last........?

well looking at one of those tire pics, there seems to be some red gunk like candy on the side wall.  also those tires are inside of the house and not the garage.........so I am sure HH6 has was/is not happy........stickpoke

You can use Epoxy resin. That will not eat foam and is just a easy to use and find. I did a GM headliner with it and it worked great! Plus it stays flexible unlike poly resin.

I need to coat mine, but a new roof would be better.

Didnt you just repair it like a year ago, has it gone to crap already?

mike, a fatty as known in the BBQ world is basically a smoked sausage roll......think a roll of jimmy dean sausage that was smoked to 165deg internal temp, cooled a little and served like summer sausage.

heres a few links for you.

yeah, all the spray does it act like a seasoning for cast iron and it also helps coat and protect the inside.
