Conservative Justice passes
« on: February 13, 2016, 06:25:55 PM »
Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia passed Friday while on vacation in Co.

May his sole rest in peace as we continue the fight here.

Guys, we had split court. Now the Prez will get to appoint another crony and you know it will not be someone friendly to our Constitution.

I am sure I am not the only one thinking Pelican Brief....

I hope I am wrong.

I did see an article that said there was no way a new Justice would be confirmed by Obama and that it would wait until the next President. I wish I could believe that Democrats would wait. I can't see it. I just hope the Republicans have the will to hold off and let whoever is elected refer the next one. And if Hillary or Bernie elected and puts forth some bleeping crazy liberal I hope they Bork him or her.

McConnell has no nuts. We all know that. If we don't hold our ground now we are toast. The 2A is done for.

second amendment?

What-ch talkin' about?

The riters of the konstitution was talkin' about the militia

Thems folks, not do pebes! Regular citizens don't need gunz, Prez OB says so!

If the chief justices frame the abolishment of the second amendment by supreme court decree like that, the IM's (Ignorant masses) will buy it!

Cool, we can get on with the coming revolution mo-sooner than later!

& I was possibly right about ol slack jawed as that guy just claimed he will point next successor....

Not that I believe it matters, however for those of the voting kind you may wanna make your stand now about letting next dictator making pick for next supreme. It may buy you a little time at least prior to making stand on 2A, just sayin

Well, at least we know it won't be the prez as they were hinting at. Of course, when did the rules apply to him anyway, double duty!!

When I first read this story I thought it sounds fishy. A conservative judge passes in his sleep while on vacation.  Its the end of Obama's last term and election year.

The flip side is he was 79 & I've never saw a picture of him "looking" fit & trim so regardless of situation who is going to question his passing? I'm also supposed to believe one guy in a black dress has been the cork in the dam this whole time?

The sad statement in all of this- we aren't even shocked at the possibility of "foul play", nor are we even thinking that the "system" will work in support of the founders plan now that the judicial side of the system is modifying laws.  WTF......

The dems are screaming there is plenty of time to sit a new judge.

McConnel has already said it may happen, not it won't.

We own both houses, it should be easy to say NO with OB up there.

Interesting times huh?  I don't see the R's blocking an appointment honestly. It's a lose lose situation to block it. My guess, it will continue as it has been. Long term.... maintain conservative control of the house/senate and hopefully common sense will at some point be considered chick. If not, situation normal.

Maybe, just maybe they will show a little back bone which would be nice for a change.

If he does nominate they should block or state ahead, wait for the new prez.
