Business Idea: Poison Ivy Essential Oils and line of beauty/ products?

So i have an abundance of poison ivy on my property. i need to do something with it and was thinking possibly starting a line of beauty and skin care products with it.

It may catch on quick with the emo/hipster crowd.

Any thoughts?

Heck, if they'll inject Botulism into their foreheads and wherever else, I'm sure they'd gladly wipe poison Ivy on their faces too.  Any location they want a little extra size or girth, here you go, wipe away!!!

ya know....Poison Ivy can be used as a medicine.. and ink, the seeds can be harvested and crushed to make candles and many other uses. That and, birds deer and rabbit feed on it heavily in the winter.

It's really not a bad ole plant...

it does have other uses from what i know, but my family has treated me like a leper or someone with ebola since i have a small bit on my arm.
i am just trying to corner the hipster/pretentious yuppy market in austin with some sort of organic, farm raised product.

If you have neighbors you don't like wait until the wind is blowing in that direction and get out the Weed Dragon and "clean up the property"  :wink: And it'll work better if they're all out having a cookout.  :laugh:

Sadly, I can speak to this from personal experience. As a youngster, when I had to take care of some business in the woods, I misidentified the plant that was around me in abundance. It took several days and multiple injections of some kind of horse tranquilizer to recover from that one. To this day I swear I'll break out if I look at a picture of the stuff in a book. It was horrible.

so i ran my latest business idea past my wife. she rolled her eyes on her classic way and told me i was stupid and obnoxious.

12 years into marriage i am still wondering if that response means its a good idea....

I feel like one of Dons boys got into that stuff this year, I don't know that I in Utah have ever run into it.  Stinging nettle is a slight problem though
