1st use of the MOAB

It was dropped on an ISIS encampment of tunnels etc. in Afghanistan.

21000 lbs explosives and a mile wide blast pattern

That will get their attention. I'm guessing most of them wont be found/ID'd.

Saw that this morning, kept trying to post about it but interrupted by darn work all day. Nothing like a bunker buster to ruin your morning.

Do I recall correctly that this is a thermobaric device that sucks all the oxygen out of the caves?  I bet the service men wrote some pretty cool sayings on it before they dropped it.  Alla akbar

And what was that thing we used in Iraq?? That was a part of the special ops deal...Killed a whole passel of unsuspecting bad guys. I want to say that it was a fuel air explosive like the Russian device...
